My family and I stayed in this amazing Princeville condo for 2 weeks in April 2012. It was wonderful! It's new, clean, nicely furnished, and has everything you need for your stay including all beach toys (chairs, coolers, snorkle gear, kid toys, boogie boards), bikes, helmets ... practically everything! It's in a quiet location near the pool so convenient as well. I would definitely recommend staying here and will do so again if it is available on our next trip to Kauai. Thanks Barb and Paul for making such a wonderful home available!

My husband and I have traveled to Kauai many times and have stayed at multiple locations, Nihilani was by far the most amazing. The condo was beautiful and had every amenity you could imagaine. The kitchen was very well appointed and it was suprising to find an array of spices and condiments. The master bedroom and bath were beutiful and very comfortable. We enjoyed the lanai every morning and especially liked how quiet it was. We used the barbeque area on several evenings after stopping at the Hanalei fish market. The boogie boards , beach chairs and coolers were great. It made staying at the beach all day so enjoyable. We will definitely stay here again. The owner and management company were very accomodating and made the processes very easy.
Owner response:Thanks Mo. We are glad that everything worked out and would love to have you back. Mahalo Paul&Barb

We have just returned from a 17-day stay at unit 1A Nihilani in Princeville. This beautiful unit was a pleasure to stay in. It is very tastefully decorated and well equipped. Many amenities are included such as wireless internet, long distance calling, full laundry facilities (including laundry soap) to name a few. The Master suite is lovely. A comfortable King size bed with large en suite, which includes a large walk-in glass shower and separate soaker tub. We enjoyed using the kitchen to prepare meals, it's well equipped with top of the line appliances. The lanai is lovely and we spent many hours there having morning coffee and late afternoon cocktails, while enjoying the many birds and lush vegetation surrounding us. The pool and hot tub are close by and are also very nice. We liked the location of Nihilani. Walking from there to the nearby shopping area at Princeville Center and the St Regis Hotel were easy walks. The golf courses nearby also provided good walking opportunities. A short drive to Hanalei Bay provided us with shopping, restaurants, farmers market and beautiful beaches. Bicycles are available and there are lots of areas to bike in. We found the North Shore of Kauai to be our favorite location, with its spectacular mountain and ocean views. Paul is a pleasure to deal with and we will certainly return to Kauai and the only place to stay is unit 1A in Nihilani! Thank you Paul and Barb for allowing us to use your home. It became our home away from home. Mahalo! Patricia and Bill March 11-27, 2012

Paul & Barb, we had a wonderful honeymoon in your beautiful condo. We stayed at this Nihilani, Princeville condo during the same period last year and couldn't wait to return. We wanted somewhere quiet with beautiful scenery for this vacation. This condo is so tastefully decorated; it has everything we could have possibly wanted including two bicycles, snorkelling and beach gear. During both of our stays we've found the condo to be immaculately clean on our arrival. I can see why movie makers have chosen Kauai over 170 times for large movie productions! We hope to return again in the future. Pete & Kathie

Paul, I want to thank you for a wonderful stay in your lovely condo in Kauai. Your unit is truly beautiful, spotlessly clean, and has every possible amenity available. I have never stayed in such a nicely decorated, well-stocked unit! You and your wife have done a superb job of outfitting your place, and, as renters, we are very appreciative of that. In addition, the whole rental process through you was easy and problem-free. You were always extremely prompt in answering any email enquiries I made, and the fact that you took the time to call me after we arrived shows how much care and consideration you give to your renters. I hope we are able to stay in your unit in the future, and I would highly recommend your condo to anyone who is considering staying in the Princeville area of Kauai! Many thanks!

Paul/Barb We had the best time during our visit to Kauai. Your condo is absolutely beautiful. Both Cindy and I just could not get over how clean and well stocked it was in every respect. We had quite a bit of rain while we were there but the temp.'s were still in the 80's and that didn't bother us at all. We were cancelled twice for our helicopter tour but when we finally did get in the air (which was the day before we left and our last chance....) it was the most fantastic thing and the highlight of our trip. As you can imagine, every waterfall was flowing full force and it made for a wonderful trip. Again, the cleanliness of the unit, the fact that it was decorated to a "T", and the fact that every possible consideration obviously went into making sure it was stocked with every imaginable necessity made sure the vacation went without a hitch. It was really nice getting to know you on a personal level also. You made the transaction simple and painless and I don't believe we could have asked for better rental experience. We are already talking about our next visit to the island and will definitely make sure to contact you about the availability of the condo. Take care, be safe, and thank you again for contributing to a fantastic vacation. Tim & Cindy Poindexter

Wow! This is the greatest place to stay. I will never stay anywhere else while in Kauai. Paul and Barb are amazing to work with and are so accommodating. They have thought of everything. I tried hard to think of what would make a stay there better and I honestly couldn't think of one thing. I love being on the Princeville part of the island and Nihalani is my favorite place in Princeville--so quiet, clean, relaxing, and peaceful. We loved riding the bikes they provide all around Princeville. They provide sumptuous beach towels, great snorkel gear, boogie boards and beach toys. Having a washer and dryer in the condo is so great. The pool is clean and inviting. We were the only ones there the majority of the time--day or evening. I am a clean freak and this place is clean to a perfection--not any nasty carpet stains, spider webs, smudgy fingerprints, etc.. I never saw one bug in the condo the whole time we were there--not even an ant. What a great place to come home to after a wonderful hike or day at the beach. I've been to Hawaii many times and this is by far my favorite place to stay.

My husband and I recently stayed 5 nights at this beautiful home in the Princeville area. We were delighted the place offered all that was listed in the description. We can attest this place is as gorgeous as depicted in the photos. This was the best equipped home we have rented in Princeville --- from all the kitchen gadgets you'd need to make a great meal at home...to beach chairs, towels, an umbrella and cooler to make for a perfect day at the beach! The master bed is very comfortable; the house is nicely furnished and decorated (not the cheap rattan stuff); and the full-size washer and dryer are a blessing in dealing with beach towels and bathing suits on a daily basis! This place really does offer all the comforts of home including high-speed internet access and phone service that allows you to call anywhere in the U.S. for free. The owner was very accommodating in working with us on our special needs. He was truly a pleasure to rent from. I would highly recommend this home and plan to rent again when we return to Kauai! Thank you Barb and Paul for sharing such a magnificient retreat with us!!! We will return!

Our family of 4 loved our stay in this luxurious, well-appointed and spacious condo in Princeville paradise. What I love about this place is that it felt and looked like home. Everything worked! The beds are very comfortable, the bedrrooms are spacious with a huge walk in closet at the master bedroom and the kitchen was well stocked with the functional utensils, pots and pans plus a complete spice rack (made for more delicious homecooking). All the appliances worked and were top notch. One rare find was the attached 2-car garage complete with beach accessories and even 2 bikes. The laundry room was another plus with a sink, lots of storage and full sized washer and dryer. The owner, Paul, was accommodating, pleasant, and even called on our day of arrival to make sure everything was okay. We will definitely stay here again next time and would highly recommend this vacation home to anyone who wants to experience luxury in paradise.

We just returned from a fabulous week at this beautiful condo. There were four of us but it could easily be comfortable with two more. The beds were comfy and the bedrooms very spacious. The master bathroom was amazing with a step-in shower and soaker tub. Living and dining room both beautifully furnished and spacious and a very well appointed kitchen. We ate at home all but our last night when we went to the Bar-Acuda Restaurant in Hanalei (which was great!) The pictures of the condo were accurate but it was even better in real life! The pool and hot-tub were great and the grounds were all immaculate! When we arrived the cleaner was just finishing up but she let us unload our luggage and we went to the grocery store which is only 5 minutes away. It really was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this property for a truly relaxing holiday! The north coast is fun with lots of beaches and funky shops and Poipu is only an hour and a half away (or less, depending on traffic) we explored a lot and put nearly 350 miles on our rental car but could easily have stuck to the north end happily.
Owner response:We are so glad that everything worked out for you and your family. Mahalo

This condo is the perfect vacation rental! We were so happy to find out that it was even more beautiful in real life than it is in the photos. It's beautifully decorated, quiet, spacious and comfortable (amazing mattresses and comfy couches!). The owners have paid special attention to all the little details that help make for a super beach vacation...towels, snorkeling equipment, umbrellas, chairs, bicycles (huge plus), coolers, and even tupperware (mmm, fresh fruit salads for the beach)! We had an amazing stay here and look forward to coming back soon!

This luxurious condo, located in a quiet complex on the north end of Kauai, is even more beautiful than the pictures suggest! It is spacious, tastefully decorated and well-equipped with everything you could possibly need...and more! From beach towels to bicycles...it's all there!! The kitchen is very well-appointed and contains every tool imaginable to make the perfect meal for enjoyment on the beautiful lanai. The design is perfect for two couples, with a bedroom and bathroom on each end of the space. It is immaculately clean and well-cared for and the decor is warm, relaxing and inviting! A car is a must, as there are so many extraordinary beaches and essential amenities nearby, but beyond walking distance. I have already recommended this property to friends and we look forward to returning as soon as the next opportunity arises!!! Thank you, Paul...our stay was enjoyable in every way possible!!

When you rent accommodation based only on photographs and information on a web site, you're never really sure what it will be like when you actually get there. However, when we opened the door on this beautiful unit we knew we had made the right decision -- the condo was everything we'd hoped for and more! It has everything necessary for a comfortable relaxing vacation, including beach chairs and towels, bikes, and snorkelling gear – as well as its own double car garage! The unit is air conditioned, extremely well maintained, beautifully furnished, and the fully equipped gourmet kitchen and dining area have all you will need to prepare or eat meals and snacks. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the lanai reading and enjoying the beautiful weather and the condo is conveniently located close to the beautiful swimming pool/hot tub/barbeque complex. Morning walks to Princeville Center, the St. Regis Hotel, the Westin Resort and other local points of interest were very enjoyable. Any of the beaches, shopping and other tourist attractions on Kauai are easily accessible by car – the village of Hanalei Bay is less than 15 minutes from the condo and has shopping, a spectacular beach and beautiful views of Bali Hai. Paul and Barb were easy to deal with in making arrangements for the rental and their suggestions on things to do and where to go on the island were invaluable. It was especially thoughtful to receive a phone call from them on our first day in the unit just to make sure we arrived safely and everything was okay. This is our second vacation on Kauai – the first on the North Shore – and we would very much recommend this unit to anyone looking for premier accommodation on Kauai.

What a great holiday we had in Kaua’i. A photographer’s paradise to say the least. The condo had everything we could possibly need for outdoor pursuits and recreation. The fully equipped kitchen, luxurious furnishings and thoughtful details helped make our vacation really wonderful. Even a local bird book was available for our use. We loved eating outside on the spacious lanai where we enjoyed visits from many tropical bird species. We also used the pool barbeque for cooking steaks and chatting with other residents and visitors. We will be back to Kaua’I as the abundance of outdoor activities is limitless – something for everyone here. We hope this beautiful condo is available on our next visit! It is not often that anticipation of the dream vacation is matched by the reality but, in the case of this very special condo, the reality far exceeded any expectation that we had. This two bedroom condo is ideally located in Princeville admist some of the most stunning vistas that the island of Kuaui has to offer. The condo itself is equipped with everything one could want or need. From the high end appliances and gorgeous decor to the numerous amenities, this unit provides a relaxing yet intimate retreat. The unit is equipped with a wide range of activity equipment from bicycles, to snorkel gear to boogie boards! What truly separates this vacation home from all others are the numerous thoughtful touches that makes one feel special and appreciated. There are written diaries left by fellow travellers providing helpful hints in terms of shopping, sight seeing and activities. Guide books, maps and brochures are provided for reference and the condo is well stocked with magazines and books for pleasure reading on the beach or with your early morning coffee on the lanai. If you are looking for a truly special get away in a place that caters to your every wish, look no further. Our only regret is that we did not stay long enough but we are already making plans to return!

As this was our second visit to Kauai, we were familiar with the Northshore and decided to choose a location in Princeville. This condo was within 5 minutes of the local grocery store, and about 10 minutes to Hanalei (a local tourist town with many shops, boutiques and restaurants). This modernly finished home had 2 bedrooms each with a adjoining full bathroom. The full kitchen, dining area and living room had the most up to date and quality amenities. Everything was immaculate. We used the bikes to go for a ride around Princeville and the beachgear and snorkelling equipment for some day excursions. A number of beaches are located withing 15 minutes of this property. If you are a hiker, there are a half dozen or so trails within 45 minutes. One of our favorite things to do is see the sunset at Kee beach, which is at the end of closeby coastal road, a very scenic drive. The condo was very clean and well stocked upon arrival. There was a double garage to park in so there was no worry about your car rental or its contents. We would recommend this home to those who want to treat themselves to a little something extra. Paul was very easy to deal with, he even checked in with us to see that everything was satisfactory. Mahalo

My husband, our 2 year old son and I stayed at this beautiful condo for a week in January. We have visited Kauai numerous times but had never stayed on the north shore so though we would try it out. The Nihilani resort is located conveniently to all the north shore beaches, attractions and of course, Hanalei Bay. It has a great pool and bar-b-que area which is only a short walk from the condo. We were surprised to see how spacious and well appointed the condo is and really felt that the photos do not do it justice. There is much attention paid to the interior details from the kitchen accessories to the childrens’ DVDs supplied as well as the outdoor details such as beach toys for both children and adults. We highly recommend this luxury condo if you are looking for the perfect vacation home. Corinne, Glen and Harrison

We felt at home as soon as we walked in this beautiful condo. I loved the furnishings, and the layout of the unit was perfect. Great location for myself and 2 grown daughters. We enjoyed every minute of our 2 week stay and would love to return anytime.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The condo was well equipped with up-to-date equipment and services. All facilities and appliances were first class. The cleanliness of the whole property was excellent. A bonus was the snorkelling and cycling equipment that was available for tenants. A special feature was the log book of previous visitors who documented activities, local attractions and restaurants. The pool was within two minutes walking distance. Best of all was the Lanai. Morning coffee/tea there was a treat. Evening cocktails were very special too. Altogether, it was a wonderful home away from home.

"A friend and I had the great fortune to choose Kauai for our summer vacation, and to select Paul and Barb's condo for our time on the island. Our first words when stumbling in the door after a long day of travel were, "WOW! Really?!". The condo was immaculate and incredibly well furnished and appointed. Every need and most wants have been anticipated, and we would not have had to leave the unit if we hadn't been so enchanted with Kauai and its lush beauty. The Nihilani is a peaceful and beautiful development, and the placement of the unit in the complex couldn't be more perfect. It is a very short drive from the condo to the best of the north shore beaches and sights, and the village of Hanalei Bay. I couldn't imagine having stayed anywhere else, or having found another unit that would have made our vacation on Kauai more magical. Thank you, Paul and Barb!" Thanks again, Misty (and Marika too)

Nihilani, a jewel. My husband and I arrived on Kauai, Feb. 6, 2010, for a month of fun, sun and beach. Excited to experience Hawaii where we had not been before. The arrival in Princeville and the drive into our condo complex at Nihilani set the stage for the rest of our holiday. Spectacular scenery on the drive from the airport, easy access and nice setting at the entrance to Nihilani but we were so happy when we opened the door and saw the fabulous condo we would be staying in for the next month. Living room and kitchen first, they were nicely decorated with a tropical feel, kitchen well appointed with good quality furniture, TV, sound system and appliances and plenty of dishes. The main bedroom and ensuite is spacious and so very comfortable, second bedroom which is totally separate, with it's own bathroom, each room with high quality linens and towels, which made our stay with two friends who joined us, very easy. Having a garage to drive into each day was especially nice and hanging along the walls were all that we needed for our beach days, chairs and snorkel equipment and for those with children a chest full of fun stuff to keep them happy in the sand. Location, Location and Nihilani has that . We were close to so many beautiful beaches accessed by walking and with wonderful names like, Secret Beach. Barb and Paul have a Library of good books and maps to help you get oriented right away. Short drives to many other beaches that offered boogie boarding, snorkelling and all very quiet that you felt as if you were on your own private beach. Zip-lining, hiking at all levels, kayaking and horseback riding all close by. Our busy days ended with happy hour either on our nicely furnished Lanai, or at the pool for a swim and hot tub. Pool area equipped with great BBQ and cooking facilities. It is all there and we recommend Unit 1A as an excellent place to stay. Thanks Barb and Paul for a great holiday. Greer and Andy
