Why the Owner Chose Manuel Antonio

I was explore all over Costa Rica for surf trip , and find Manuel Antonio. This small beach town have everything you need, great restaurant, nice wave, nice people, most of activity, relax empty beach, exciting active beach, convenience super market for all you need and also you can find party somewhere every night.
I fall in love this beach and bought house right away. Now my family come visit a few times a year to relax and refresh from "real world" where we are missing something important. Great place for people working hard or kids live in big city.

The Unique Benefits at this House

Great SURF, Fishing, Relax, kayaking, hiking , Great food, all water sports, water rafting, Water fall, explore beautiful nature..
This beach gives me tons of Great energy !!

Great Family Accomodations!

My two sisters and I stayed at Casa Takara with our children for several days. It turned out to be an essential part of one our best trips together. The house was clean, the pool was great, walking location to the store and a quick taxi ride into down own and the park. Would stay there again any day!

I just came back from costa rica last week. and this house has great potential. great location, near super market ( in costa rica, you have to drive to get water or beer..anything. but not this house) Beautiful swimming pool and hot jacuzzi. its hard to find hot jacuzzi in costa rica.) very clean, pretty new house! perfect for my family, we have 2 kids. And agent alex was so sweet. he was so helpful! house keeper clean house everyday and nice sheets and towels!! very private safe gated house, even we left gate open Antonio who is local guy and he is kind of guard man, watches house. all local people are friendly, too!! we will go back next year, again!!

Dirty and infested

Guest: Oye (Colorado)
Date of Stay: 03/12/10 Review Submitted: 02/07/11

With the pictures and the price. This house seemed like it was to good to be true. Well it was. We arrived at the rental center and were told to pay our bill in full before seeing the house. After we headed to the house and the house seemed as if it had been vacant for some time. They were cutting back the jungle. After removing the vegetation it turned up the bugs. We went in the house looked around and it wasnt as nice as the photos make it to be. I went to take a shower and the spiders had taken up the bathroom. Lots of them. I sat on the couch and felt something bite me instantly. The furniture looked soiled and was infested with flees. The air-conditioning wasn't working and the house had some strange odors like dirty mops. All and all I left and went and stayed at the hotel down the block with clean sheets and no spiders or flees in site. Then came the attempt to get the money back which was never paid back in full. This would be a good place for frat boys. Not for me.

Owner response:Sorry about your experience, I am owner of house. My agent told me about you guys, I think they refund all of your money except 10% reservation fee. Which is shown in contract. First of all My Family was there with 2 kids about week before you guys get there. House was perfect condition. No bugs no spider. Air conditioner was all working. Of corse, you will see some visitors (bugs) if you leave some food on floor, It was ants you saw, not spider. I stayed at Four Seasons in costa rica. Even five star hotels has visitors, too in costa rica! Also my Agent told me, You guys found cheaper gay community hotel. And you want to move there. That was main reason. So Agent was nice enough to refund all money after you guys spend all day in house. we have to pay house keeper to clean after you guys! Then when you came back from trip, You asked me to refund 10%. But I couldn't do it. Usually we keep 50% for last minute cancellation, our house is pretty popular. We could rent for someone else. Also its in contract. I understand you were so upset, You couldn't get $150 back. But, Come on !! Don't create a review to make our house bad for your revenge!

Honeymoon

Guest: BB05152010 (Baltimore, MD)
Date of Stay: 05/18/10 Review Submitted: 06/21/10

We stayed in Casa Takara for our honeymoon in late May. The house felt safe and secure and having a gated in area to park a car in was nice. Having a pool and hot tub to ourselves was priceless. The separate entrance to the master loft would be nice for a group or a family to provide more privacy. They are very helpful at setting up tours for you at a great price and helping out when things aren't working...we had some trouble with the internet. I'm not sure I quite understand their cleaning schedule...they cleaned the pool for the first time on the last day we were there (it was a bit cloudy when we arrived and remained that way)- almost like getting ready for the next guests before the current guests stay had ended. Overall it was an excellent value for the money!
