You will find our home charming and quaint with romantic sunsets and sunrises while enjoying your morning coffee on the patio. My yard is "one of a kind" very private and tranquil adorned with natures lush shade trees/shrubs as a cooling backdrop against the hot, and sunny beach. Dine IN or OUT with a gas/charcoal grill near the patio. For your convience an outside shower to RINSE-OFF and cool down from a relaxing day at the beach.
A Dollar Store is conveniently located right in town for last minute odds and ends.
No need to cook while vacationing........just a short block to The Fishermens's Inn on the Bay, or a few miles away is Menz Restaurant a treat to behold, and Harpoon Henry's 15 min drive. Consider some fine dinning in Cape May with reasonable early dinners, fancy beverages $2.00 that will wet your appetite and not "ouch", your pocket. Try The Cape May Inn with FREE appetizers Mon to Fri, from 1pm to 6pm. Tour Historic Cape May area by horse and carriage or take a trolly. If tired of the beach shop til you drop along Washington Stree Mall (15 min) and many antique shops. Later treat yourself to a fresh seafood dinner caught from the Atlantic's largest fishing ports. If your wishing for Italian, that too.
Don't forget to visit World War 11 LOOK_OUT TOWER adjacent to the Lighthouse (15)min drive. Weekends are VERTERAN GUIDES to educate the young ones.
NEW FEATURE MUST RESERVE IN ADVANCE at time of booking. KAYAKING with my personal kayak only an additional $125/wk for loads of FUN or just enjoy swimming, beach combing, jet sking, surfing, fishing, sailing, whale/dolphin watching or biking along beach-views.
We are approx 100 steps to your very own quasi private beach, and for the walkers..... walk along the beach 30 min to Cape May Beach and Lewis Ferry or 15 min drive. Cape May is great to visit anytime of the year with it's collection of Victorian architecture(especially during Christmas Holidays) with the candlelite tours-,carriage and trolly rides. Yes, I rent year-round with specials. Just 15 min to the Cape May Lite-house,Cape May Zoo, and Wildwood's famous boardwalk/amusement park. Feel lucky, then do Atlantic City only 30 min. away and hit the Jack pot to take home.

A few important reminders that this is my family home not an investment property so I would appreciate and expect you to treat my home as you would your "very own home" with respect and TLC.. My home is a SMOKE-FREE HOME.... smokers must use a butt can OUTSIDE of course. not the yard or surroundings Thank you!
The security deposit is fully refundable pending upon house INSPECTION for damages, cleanliness, neglect, and orderliness. We EXPECT to find our home in the same condition that it was received by owners approval.
Your Pooch is welcome at $100 but must be treated with(frontline/advantage) TO ENSURE EVERYONES COMFORT. I personally recommend walking pets in pet friendly neighborhood, or along beach road, and NOT the beach where sandfleas exist.
About NIGHTLY RATES: We prefer to rent weekly during the PEAK SEASON but not limited to such. IF available I can accomodate 2 or 3 niters on last minute get-a-ways by using a credit card 2%or cash deposit into my acct. Please refer to the rate detail link.
Please keep in mine that this is a 2 bedroom home the maximum allowed is 5 including tots and babies. The 6th person is an additonal fee $250 including tots.
IF your interested in my personal kayak let me know in advance for a weekly charge of $150.

This vacation home was orginally owned by my dearest beloved Aunt Sue and Uncle Perry. They always invited me at this very home on vacations. This was always amd still is a quiet and peaceful place to call HOME. The town is an old fishing village and the neighborhood is friendly, pet friendly too. I always looked forward to coming back each year......... just couldn't get enough of the sea air and spectacular sunsets. The yard reminds you of a park truely one of a kind in the neighborhood.

We spent a very enjoyable week on the bay. We found the locatation especially nice for pets and spent much of our time walking with the dogs on the beach. (Dogs are not allowed on the ocean side of Cape May) The mud room is especially nice for cleaning up the dogs or leaving them during short trips to the ocean side. The house was nice with a large screen TV, cable and internet connections and a large private back yard.

We stayed in this house for 2 weeks in August and had to leave for 2 days when the county had a mandatory evacuation for Hurricane Irene. The inside of the house looked like the pictures, but the 2nd bedroom was very small, it had been an entry hall way before the remodeling. The yard was quite unattractive and had baskets of fake flowers around the patio area. The grass was meager, both in the front and back yards. The gas grill didn't work and we had to use the charcoal grill.If we had been advised that it didn't work we would have brought our own portable gas grill as we prefer it to charcoal.To get to the beach, you had to drop down to a cement block about 2 feet below the road and then another foot to the sand, and then walk about 100 feet to the beach. We have stayed in other properties in this area for the last 8 years and always found them equipped with the proper cleaning supplies. We always clean up before we leave, but in order to do so here, we had to go out and buy cleaning equipment as what was there was minimal. It took a lot of time to use the broom and a swifter on the wood floors and the bathroom, a dust buster would be so much more efficient and faster.My assumption was that the cleaning supplies were locked up in a separate part of the house that we didn't have access to and as we wanted to get our deposit back, we went out and bought what we needed.

You did complain about one of 5 lite bulbs in the bathroom, but all it needed was tightening to lite. You complainted about the gas brill not working property, but I also had a charcoal grill for your convience too. However, "thank you" anyways because I do welcome constructive critisim for future improvements for my guests. The poor review had taken me back because you never mentioned your displeasure once. I am not surprised though for your retallation due to the fact that I discovered you broke my closet louver doors and never told me until I inspected and then had to charge it off your security deposit. As for the 100 steps to the beach, I guess with having knee problems it becomes difficult, I am sorry for the short distance that you found troublsome. Again, sorry for your troubles. Sincerely, Mary

Visited area to attend family wedding in Villas. Very close to beach which was perfect for early morning and evening walks. We also enjoyed breakfast and evening barbeques on the patio overlooking the garden. House clean, living accommodation spacious and kitchen well equipped, We were very grateful for efficient airconditioning as we visited during a record run of days over 100degrees and us UK residents are not used to that kind of heat!! We enjoyed exploring Cape May and our favourite was Sunset beach. We realised that there are not many places on East Coast of USA where you can enjoy sunsets over the sea which must make it a special place for you.

It was absolutly beautiful. Cozy and relaxing place to stay. Very clean. Great communication with the owner. Kids and the puppy had blast. This home was a great place for a ladies' weekend away. We had plenty of space to spread out, and really enjoyed the open living space when dining and playing games. The location was great. It was only a a little over a ten minute drive to the lighthouse, cape may beach, winery, Washington Square, and Wildwood. We felt this home gave us many options for our vaction. It is close to a grocery store and great pizza delivery! The home is well maintained and comfortable. We can't wait to go back!

My husband and I rented this ranch home for two weeks and had a very relaxing vacation. We brought along our small puppy and he too had a great time. The area in which the house is located is very people,kid and dog friendly. We took morning and evening walks and meet may wonderful people.My husband is retired military and he meet many people that retired to this area and they enjoyed chatting as much as we did. Each night we could look out the window and see the sun beginning to set and we would walk up and watch the sunset. We spent time at Sunset Beach in Cape May, went to the zoo and strolled the boardwalk in Wildwood. The location of the home is perfect as you can walk to dinner at the resturants, I wish I could remember the name of the one we loved, it is located just past the corner market and on Saturday nights they have prime rib and it is delicious. I have recomended this home to friends because you can enjoy the beach and tourist attractions and then come back to a peaceful home. Mary has made her home very welcoming and once your unpacked it feels like home! If your looking for the combination of fun, relaxation and meeting new people give this cozy home a try. We will definately go back.

Wonderful place for a relaxing vacation. House presented nicely, extremely well maintained, perfect for family and entertaining. Loved to walk by the water and see the sunsets. This home is the perfect home away home.Very clean very Charming! I fell in love at first sight! the close distance to the bay is fantastic.Accomodations are more than comfortable. The views of the sunsets are phenominal! Also very much enjoyed morning walks along the beach with cup of coffee in hand of course! So relaxing so peaceful! For times that I needed alittle adventure there was always nearby Wildwood and my favorite, The Cape May Zoo. Many wonderful restaurants nearby.I also enjoyed walking arond town and sight seeing. I highly recommend this home for your next vacation rental.

Our family had a lovely time here with all the comforts of home. We hated to leave and will definately return again. The home is super clean and easy to keep clean with the hardwood floors. Everything was so comfy here and HBO when we wern't out and about. The beach is a stone throw for water frolic and watch the spectacular sunsets. You can even watch them from the yard. We grilled out by the private patio and had our coffee their too. We brought our pooch, Maxie who enjoyed the pet friendly neighbors. I certainly recommend staying here at this charming home.
