Very few homes qualify as villas but the Dolphin Villa (Nai’a Hale) is one of them. Situated in the Princeville Resort area of Kauai Hawaii this home is pristine and stunningly spacious.
Situated along and facing the golf course, the atmosphere is tropical and Polynesian throughout. As you drive into the home you’ll find a spacious two car garage and an inviting 2 story entry that opens into a large and prestigious foyer. The Dolphin Villa gets its name from the oversized brass dolphin sculptures throughout the villa.
Straight ahead is a well-lit massive great room with comfortable couches and a large television centered in a beautiful entertainment center. Adjacent is a luxurious large hand-carved wood inlayed dining table for dining or games. And just out the back door is a large lanai with a private over-sized hot tub that bubbles and boils just inviting you to site and enjoy the tropical setting and overlook the 7th hole of one of Princeville’s prestigious golf courses.
In addition, on this first floor there are four bedrooms. On each side of the great room there are separate 2 bedroom “lock off” apartments for the ultimate in multi-family privacy. Each “lock off” 2 bedroom apartment has a private bath and a large “master” bedroom with either one Cal-King Bed and a Twin or Two Queen beds. The other bedroom in each apartment has 1 queen bed. Every bedroom is well decorated and well lit with wonderful views. There is one television in each bedroom and one in each family/living room as well. The villa laundry center is also on the main floor back toward the garage entrance and features top of the line laundry equipment including a dryer which can dry your clothes while hanging.
As you ascend up the spiral staircase past the dolphin sculpture you will come to the main living area. Here another enormous living room with amazing views is dominated by the media center which includes Dolby Digital surround sound and a whopping 60” plasma television. It is as if you can climb right into the picture.
To the right of the great room on the main floor is the dining room and a spacious kitchen. Solid cherry cabinetry, granite counters, and new state-of-the-art stainless appliances adorn this fabulous kitchen. It is a gourmet’s dream come true. Gourmets will find nothing lacking, and the villa is, of course, stocked with all the crystal and utensils needed to cook up and serve any cuisine.
The large dining area is perfect for entertaining friends and family, and the dining room table is a work of art unto itself. This amazing bronze turtle sculpture table is breathtakingly stunning. The glass top allows everyone to enjoy and appreciate this gorgeous centerpiece.
There are two lovely private lanai’s on this main living area – one overlooking the golf course with distant ocean views and the other with gorgeous views of the mountains and waterfalls surrounding Hanalei Bay.
The master suite – also on this main floor – is an entire Polynesian world unto itself featuring a top quality Tommy Bahama tropical bedroom set. It is equipped with a TV inside a gorgeous armoire. The luxurious Hawaiian master bath suite is huge and boasts a gigantic walk-in dual-headed shower surrounded by glass block, a jetted tub overlooking Hanalei mountain views, and a huge walk in closet. The master suite has golf coarse views and distant ocean views on one side, and mountain views on the other.
There are three lanai’s and three and a half private bathrooms throughout the Villa, and all beds have top-quality linens and spreads. The floors are beautiful Brazilian Cherry hard wood, and the décor in the Villa is charming and elegant.
Very few vacation rental homes qualify as villas, but the beautifully decorated Dolphin Villa is indeed one of them. This Villa is just an amazing Hawaiian living experience. Come and spent a week or two and enjoy the best Kauai has to offer in The Dolphin Villa.
Bedrooms: The master bedroom has a California King bed in it. Bedroom 2 has two Queen beds, Bedrooms 3 and 4 each have 1 Queen bed in them, and Bedroom 5 has one King bed and one Twin bed.

Our family stayed at Naia Hale for 10 days. We truly enjoyed our stay here and felt at home in Princeville. The house was well suited for our large group which included children, adults and grandparents. The lockoff bedrooms on the lower level provide privacy and are designed such that 2 bedrooms share a bathroom in between. The master bedroom on the upper level was very spacious and included both a walk-in closet and massive bathroom. The large jetted bathtub was very relaxing after a long day in the sun and even the kids looked forward to using it. There is also a small bathroom off of the upstairs living room. The house included air conditioning, which we found unnecessary as the house has a lot of airflow and was a comfortable temperature the entire stay. There is also laundry, which is very handy when travelling with kids, and a hot tub which we also enjoyed. We had no problems at arrival and had the pleasure of meeting the owner. The only con, which is a stretch to find, is that the home is for sale, which probably means by the next time we visit Kauai this house will be unavailable. Even so, it allowed us to dream as to what life could be like if we had a spare $1.3M. :) Overall, our stay at Naia Hale was wonderful and we would highly recommend it to anyone.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This house was awesome! I have never written a review before, but thought this place certainly deserved one. It was everything as described and more. Spacious does not begin to describe the house. We had a group of ten and everyone absolutely loved being there. We felt very much at home and extremely comfortable during our stay. We had a minor problem upon our arrival which was very quickly rectified by one phone call from the owner of the property. Outside of that, the only complaint we had was that we had to leave and go back home. We would definitely rent this house again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.
