Very laid back but with activities, such as seasonal daily water aerobics around corner in St. Marys Recreational Park, in which you can become as involved as you choose to be. Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach are across the river in Florida for easy ferry or driving access and Kermit's birthplace in Okefenokee Swamp is 45 minutes west, but privacy and relaxation are in St. Marys. Bikes are available for exploring the charming old town,waterfront and marshlands.
Great restaurants and comfortable bars are nice to walk to and offer a wide variety of cuisine and budget interests. Dress is casual everywhere. Be the "stress-free" you. This house is set up in the moss covered trees on a quiet street away for the problems of everyday but close to a swim club, the library, restaurants and the beautiful waterfront. I have been there both in the summer and before Christmas and it was a terrific experience. Around the Christmas season, the town is beautifully decorated with white lights and reflects Georgia's charm. The house is about one hour from Jacksonville, FL where one can visit museums, shops and other attractions if desired. It is a comfortable place which the photos adequately depict. It is clean and well-maintained and I would recommend this property to a relative or friend without reservation.

What a nice get-away! Two large bedrooms, two baths, fully-equipped kitchen and dining area, den, and a 3rd bedroom/study area. But the best part is the porch, where you can rock your troubles away and enjoy the summer breezes! Close to downtown area but far enough away not to be troubled by tourist sounds. Neat restaurants close by. Clean, well-maintained. Enjoyed my rest there completely, and especially walking by the waterfront and swinging in the park swings there. Plan to return there the next time I go east! Highly recommended!
