We had a fabulous stay at this beautiful home. The whole family was there - numerous adults, and children down to a 1 yr old - and we had plenty of room for everyone. During our stay we enjoyed a lot of time in the equipped kitchen as well as on the outdoor patio. The highlight of the house, for many in our family, was the open loft at the top of the stairs that included a large tv and was great for video gaming and movies. It is MUCH larger than the picture indicates. We had two queen aerobeds set up there in addition to the two large sofas and there was still plenty of room for all of us to be in the space. The house is in a fabulous gated community - safe, clean, and very well-situated to the 5 freeway, shopping, restaurants, sites, and beaches. We went to a different beach almost every day from our "home base". For those of you into furnishings - as we are - the house is fabulously appointed. Loved the furniture, bedding, and wall art. The owners obviously want everyone who stays there to enjoy their time at this great property; and we definitely enjoyed it. Our granddaughter wrote a thank you note that summed up our time in the house: "Thank you so much for taking everybody to a beautiful place. The house was amazing ..."

We are home away from home at Water's End! This home is obviously luxurious, yet feels extremely comfortable. The home is located in a newer, extremely well maintained neighborhood in Water's End--just a 1/5 of a mile from the ocean. Having the space and amenities was great, but more importantly, the community park, pool, and jacuzzi made down time perfect for our daughter. We spent a lot of time each day in the community pool and jacuzzi. We would end each day with a walk along the beach and dinner in Carlsbad Village. If you haven't been there, it's great! You will find tons of restaurants and people-watching just a couple of miles from the home. We typically would ride our bikes to the beach, or load up the car to head to Moonlight Beach, or Carlsbad Beach. My daughter is also a fan of Legoland--geared more towards the younger kids, which is only a two mile drive from the house. I was tempted not to write this review to keep this place our little secret, but realized I would be selfish if I didn't. I am sure you will enjoy your stay as much as we did! Hoping to make this a annual event for us!

My family and I stayed at this fantastic home, the home is even more beautiful than the pictures. My mother in-law came to stay with us for half of our vacation and there is a very beautiful private bedroom on the main floor with it's own t.v. and bathroom so she felt very comfortable. There is also more things to do than you can possible do in a month: in house (games, electronic t.v. games, movies, sand box, outdoor hot tub and sitting area) in community (basketball/tennis courts, play area, heated pool with outdoor showers) and you are even walking distance to the ocean and train. Lastly best location for all the San Diego attraction - we had a GREAT time and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

We have been vacationing in San Diego for 13 years, and this year was absolutely one of our best experiences. What an awesome house! Inside is a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. The location is fantastic... walking distance to the beach, grocery store, Starbucks, great restaurants... close to everything! Equally as important to us, the owners of this house were truly World-Class hosts. They did everything to make this vacation as comfortable and convenient as possible for us (we have 2 children: 2 1/2 yr. & an 8 mo. old). We would definitely recommend this house, and would stay there again!!!

Our family has just returned from a delightful stay in this vacation home. It is well decorated and the beds are all very comfortable. We were 6 adults and four children under six years so it was very child friendly. The house was perfect for our family and the owner was extremely hospitable to us. The location was the best: the beach was in walking distance; Starbucks is in walking distance. The village of Carlsbad, Legoland, and "Costco" are all very close. Sea World and San Diego are also only a short distance away. We would highly recommend this house and would stay here again ourselves!!
