We spent a wonderful relaxing month of March in Nice, and David's apartment met our expectations. We were very comfortable. The description of the property is truly exact. The apartment is well located for local bus and also only one block for the bus to take you to nearby locations, i.e. Monaco, Cannes, Menton, Antibes, and many perched villages, and even the Airport bus. We were also within walking distance to the Old City and Town Centre. We enjoyed eating breakfast almost every morning on the balcony, viewing the Sea, and enjoying the street scene. David's in-laws were most gracious and helpful, and we enjoyed spending time with them. We have recommended the apartment to some of our friends and hope to get back there ourselves.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this apartment due to the apartment itself, it’s ideal location and the assistance provided by the owner’s in-laws (who live next door). The apartment is spacious and well equipped and has a huge balcony which, although it overlooks a busy street, was surprisingly quiet. The balcony was a great place to bask in the sun (moderated by an elaborate awning system if you desire) and to comfortably enjoy breakfast, light meals and drinks. The location is away from the hustle and bustle yet within walking distance of Vieux Nice. It is only a few minutes from the public beach and the Promenade des Anglais where we particularly enjoyed several moonlight strolls. Two supermarkets and a wonderful patisserie are also nearby. The apartment is ideally located for bus transportation. There are two stops within a block of the apartment that allow you easily to go virtually anywhere in Nice as well as good connections to many of the cities on the Cote d’Azur. Having the owner’s in-laws next door was a treat as they were able to help us with mastering the nuances of French appliances, provide touring/shopping suggestions and even rescued us when we accidently locked ourselves out on the balcony!

Sorry for the belated posting of this review but my husband and I wanted to credit David and his in-laws for the all-around excellent experience we had with this apartment. We highly recommend it for 3 reasons: the apartment itself, David's responsiveness pre-rental and throughout, and his in-laws' attentiveness while there. First, the apartment itself -- we agree with everything written by other renters about the terrace, layout, amenities, location, etc., -- the terrace is perfectly positioned for a direct ocean view and is accessible from both the kitchen and the living room; the layout is roomy; and all appliances consistently work. The in-laws are two of the warmest, nicest people you'll ever meet -- greeting us upon arrival, showing us how to use everything as well as how to get around on local transportation, and responding if needed. They did indeed add a personal touch, some authenticity, to the experience of being a tourist. Finally, we do want to commend David, the owner, who goes out of his way to accommodate renters and to respond quickly and helpfully from first contact through the rental itself.

Great place to stay

We had a wonderful vacation in Nice and the apartment was a great base to see the area. We were greeted warmly and given good information about where to find things in Nice. We went to the local patisserie every morning and picked up breakfast and sat on the balcony while we ate. It was a glorious way start the day. We also found the grocery store downstairs had warm bread every afternoon and enjoyed warm bread and wine on the balcony. It was nice to be one block off the hubbub of the main street along the beach and still be able to see the water. The apartment was clean and ideally sized for the two of us. We had been travelling elsewhere in Europe the week before and it was great to be able to do laundry and have access to wireless internet. Bus lines were close by and allowed us to easily travel to Cannes and Monaco for day trips. We would recommend this apartment to anyone who wants their own space and a relaxing visit to the French Riveria. Our only complaint was that the week seemed to pass too quickly.

Two glorious weeks in Nice

Our Nice vacation for my husband and myself was wonderful. Our accommodation was described accurately in the listing and I have to agree with all previous comments made by other guests. Apt was very clean and modern;building itself was also very clean and well maintained and very secure. Sunny spacious terrace and amazing sea view, great to wake up each morning. Breakfast on the terrace a real treat.Add on fresh croissants from the local Bakery and what more could you ask for! The minute walk to the Promenade des Anglais was one of many great amenities.Great location, bus stops in front of our building and other stops just a short block away., able to catch a bus to almost anywhere.Bus fare of one euro a great deal. Good Bakery, grocery stores and other speciality food shops just a short walk away.Little cafe across the street serves good food. David's in laws very friendly and being next door was reassuring.They were very helpful upon arrival and like a previous guest mentioned, very generous and accommodating our last morning. Thank you ever so much. And thank you David for your help while making our arrangements to stay at your apt. I would recommend this accommodation for a very enjoyable, relaxing stay in Nice. We were very fortunate with the weather and having the terrace with its comfortable furniture made our stay that much more enjoyable...

We were in this apt in May 2011 and loved it. It is very large, extremely clean and modern. The location is terrific, a short 20 min walk to the old town and port, but if you are tired you can hop onto one of many bus options that will drop you at the apt door - all for 1 euro. We couldn't walk pass the boulangerie down the street without stopping in daily! Croissants every morning on the balcony overlooking the sea. David's in-laws next door were terrific - especially with a huge favour on our last morning- thank you again. We strongly recommend this apt. It was perfect!

Well kept condo in secure building. My husband and I had wonderful stay due to excellent location - close to beach, restaurants, boutiques, grocery, etc. Also, great customer service! Owner is very responsive to all emails and questions prior to trip. His in-laws live in building and are very helpful during our stay! Condo equipped with beach chairs and umbrellas which was very nice! I would highly recommend this condo to anyone looking for clean, secure condo with lovely balcony and great location.

Charming Elegance

This is s perfect spot to partake of all that Nice, France has to offer. The location is within walking distance of everything of interest. The accomodations were described very accurately and I found nothing to dislike. The terrace was wonderful for morning coffee and late night snacks. The sound of the ocean was perfect to wake up to and say good night too. The owners were most helpful in acquainting me to the area and did everything to make my stay the most pleasant stay that I have had in any European city!! Charming elegance is how I would describe my stay and highly recommend these accomodations to couples for a romantic getaway.

Two weeks in Nice

My wife and I spent 2 weeks in this apartment in January and February 2011. Everything was wonderful, we had a great time. The apartment was great, exactly as described on VRBO. David's in laws live in the next door apartment. Though we did not need to talk to them except when we arrived and left, it was comfortable knowing that they were there in case we had problems. Nice itself was great temperatures between 50 and 70 degrees during the day, a welcome relief from the bitter winter this year in New York. The Nice transportation system was great. Only one euro to ride the bus system which included a free transfer to another bus. We took the local bus to Mento, Monaco, cannes ane Eze Village. Hopefully we will get back to Nice and this apartment again for a quick winter break..

We spent a wonderful week in your Nice apartment, and everything was just as described. Your in-laws were so helpful, a real bonus for us. The location and views are marvellous, and the apartment most comfortable. David was most accommodating when our trip was cancelled due to the volcanic eruption in April, and enabled us to postpone our trip, without losing any money, most appreciated.

We recently returned from a stay in Nice and this apartment had everything we needed. Clean, spacious, a wonderful view, and centrally located. In addition, David's in-laws were great, making sure we had everything we needed. It couldn't of been easier for us. Having the balcony and the kitchen gave us time to spend a romantic evening together. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone. Looking forward to our return.

The apartment was ideally located - very close to everything and most of Nice was within walkable distance. I know it's been said many times before, but having the in-laws in the same building was definitely an asset - they are the sweetest people and it's nice to have an actual person there to greet you and show you the place. Very nice. The beach was wonderful - Nice is so beautiful - don't pass up an opportunity to visit. Also, in terms of safety, I'm a young female and I was traveling alone for the time I was in Nice and not once did I feel unsafe or not at ease, so ladies don't have reservations and mothers you can stop worrying : ). 10/10 - no questions asked.

We have just returned from France, October 2009. This Nice apartment is appropriately called "ideally located with a sea view". We loved our week so much that we were luckily able to extend our stay for two weeks. It is a very clean, well-furnished apartment with new appliances and a fantastic view of the sea from the full balcony where we enjoyed many relaxing meals. David's very obliging and helpful in-laws live next door. It is a very short block walk to the 7km. seaside Promenade des Anglais. The bus stops right in front of this very secure apartment with easy access to the train station and airport. The Old Town is a pleasant walk either along the seaside or through pedestrian and well-lit side streets. We always felt safe and comfortable in this area. David provided prompt replies to all of our questions. We would love to return to this super apartment and would recommend it highly as a great base for exploring the Cote d'Azur.

My husband and I just got back from a week in Nice (Sept27-Oct4, 2009)and this apartment was just perfect. It is nicely furnished, very spacious and bright with a wonderful view of the sea. The beach is a one minute walk away and we both enjoyed walking up and down the beautiful Promenade des Anglais. The apartment is very close to the pedestrian zone and the old city. David was very helpful and prompt in responding to questions.

My wife and I stayed at this apartment from 7-13 September 2009 and found the apartment perfect for how we wanted to explore Nice and the area. There was no problem finding the apartment and highly recommend taking the bus from the airport terminal. The apartment is located far enough out of the downtown core to avoid any extra noise but can easily be reached by walking or public transport if you dersire. However, walking is the way to go as there are many different areas to explore along the way. We bought groceries and spent each morning sipping coffeee and eating croissants on the private balcony before heading out each day. A great way to start the day and to decide whether to have a beach day or to explore the wonderful city of Nice or other cities in the vacinity. We took the bus to Monaco (1 euro and a great drive) and the train to Grasse and Cannes. Don't miss any of these cities if you plan to stay at this great apartment, which is ideal for a romantic week for any couple.

The apartment is great, very clean and filled with all needed materials to make your vacation simply memorable.. We stayed there for 11 night during July 09, and loved it in fact just got back and miss it greatly already. The in laws were wonderful, very kind and helpful. the location is perfect. David had stated that you do not need a car and he was right. The apartment is close to everything from the vieux Nice to the beach to the promenade, to different stores and bakeries as well as restaurants and ice cream shops just perfect. Dealing with David was the highlight of the experience, timely in answering my emails, clear, pleasant and very helpful and swift with his answers. An internet and phone cabin shop is close to the apartment so you are never away from calling home or checking your emails. The place is very well equipped and is sunny and has double doors all around so that you can enjoy a quiet calm night while having the AC on after a long warm day at the beach.. We loved the place and plan on returning next year.. Thanks David and family for making my vacation to Nice very memorable..I simply loved it..

My daughters and I stayed in this apartment from May 22 to 25, 2009. It is a wonderful apartment! David was very helpful and timely in his email responses to my many questions. His inlaws live in the apartment next door and were incredibly hospitable, helpful and kind. I really can't say enough good things about them. The apartment is very clean, very quiet and very secure. It has a wonderful view of the beach, which is only a one minute walk away. There is a fruit market and mini-grocery store right next door. There are also many other stores and restaurants nearby. You can walk to "old town" Nice, the train station (although that is a long walk - but the bus stop is right around the corner), and much shopping. We were walking around very late at night and felt very safe. I would recommend this apartment to anyone who is planning a trip to Nice, and would certainly return there. My daughters even liked the apartment more than I did - and I loved it!! :) Thanks David for everything!

We had a wonderful stay in the apartment. Having breakfast or lunch in the balcony with the sea-view was memorable. The location was perfect to go the beach or visit different parts of the city. We did not have to take taxis or use public transportation. The Apt is confortable, sunny, quiet and closed to shops, restaurants, and various convenient stores. Booking was smooth and easy, and David answered all of our questions via email. We would definitely come again!

The apartment is really lovely, bright and very sunny. It is well equipped and comfortable especially the bed and the sofa. It was nice to be one minute away from the beach. We particularly enjoyed the balcony and its awesome sea-view: it was a treat for us to have a breakfast in the sun. We found the price very reasonable. This is the second time we rent the apartment. We are planning to come again next fall.

We stayed at this lovely apartment 23-27 October 2008 prior to a Rhone River cruise. What a great way to begin a vacation! The apartment is ideally located for touring the entire area on foot. The balcony is a wonderful start to every morning with fresh bread and coffee. Needless to say, we thoroughly enjoyed the apartment and our tirp to Nice.

The apartment was completely ideal for our summer vacations. The apartment was perfect for our needs both in terms of facilities and location. It is very comfortable, sunny and enjoyable. We were few minutes away from the beach. Convenient stores and restaurants are across the street. The terrace was lovely with a great view of the beach. I would highly recommend the apartment as a great place to stay in Nice.
