Your heavenly retreat awaits you atop the Big Island in Volcano Village. The crisp clean air and lush tropical rain forests create the perfect getaway. Privately set back in 30 acres, Halana Lodge has been a Volcano favorite for years and is reopening under new management. It boasts the only vacation rental available to accommodate large groups under one roof. The gorgeous and secluded property backs the national forest preserve and is an ideal setting for weddings, retreats, seminars, conferences, and family reunions.
The sprawling 5,000 sq. ft. ranch style home has seven separate bedrooms and six private baths, providing a cozy spot for everyone. The spacious Emperor's Master Suite will indulge you with a private fireplace, TV, and sumptuous bathroom with garden tub, dual sinks, and walk in closet. Two bedrooms share a bath, perfect for a family with two to three children. The remaining four bedrooms have private baths.
The open floor plan lends itself to large groups that may want to take advantage of the generous great room and spacious family room, both with fireplaces. The large dining room can accommodate parties of 10 to 20. Other indoor amenities available are a laundry room, library of books, CDs, DVDs, cable TV, and free Wi-Fi.
Spilling into the outdoors, the extra large lanai overlooks the expansive back lawn bordered with roses, hydrangea, hibiscus, koa and ohia trees, and ancient 30 foot hapu’u ferns. The private lawn is the perfect setting for weddings and luaus. There's more than enough room for several tent tops. While you’re lost in the natural beauty, slip into the 8 person Jacuzzi and sip a glass of local wine.
Located on the property is a private hiking trail winding one mile through lush rain forest, hundreds of years old and sparkling with dew be-jeweled ferns and flowers.
There are some steps into the lodge ~ not ADA compliant. An additional twin bed may be rented for $20/night per room.
