Best house we have stayed in over the years. Location is excellent. Shot and I mean short walk to restaurants. Goat feathers was excellent and 20 yards away. Others within short walk were great as well. Close to the beach. There is a beach wagon at the house all paved no slogging through the sand or gravel. The house was beautiful and the pool was clean and warm. Close to the bike path so we rented bikes. Nothing bad to say at all. You can't go wrong.

Recommended for:People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Great house with beautiful furnishings, artwork, and many extras. The kitchen has everything you need with plenty of dishes and silverware. The pool is wonderful and the beach is just a short walk. We enjoyed having our morning coffee and afternoon cocktails on the third floor balcony with a great beach view. The kids loved the large bunkroom and third floor den area with lots of video games and movies. The house was very clean and quiet. It is definitely not the usual rental property. Barb was great to work with and very prompt to return our damage deposit. I would recommend this property to anyone.

Just a quick note to let you know how much we enjoyed Palm Paradise. This was our first trip to Santa Rosa and we will definitely return! What a beautiful place!!! We brought our kayaks down and having Draper Lake so close was great! Your location is amazing! You know when you choose something off the internet there is just no telling what you might get. But Santa Rosa was lovely and your home was perfect for our family. I love the kids suite upstairs. And we all enjoed the walking trails! Thank you for everything! You have a beautiful beach house. Brian - Sincere thanks for allowing us on vacation with my parents at Palm Paradise last week. It was beautiful - close the beach, wonderful pool (love that it's heated and big - very relaxing. We stayed on the top floor, which was great for us to let Isaac sleep in one room and Roy and I in the other. We've been on many vacations, with B&B's, hotels, and odd/remote lodgings around the world. Your house was the most fun because of the decor, furnishings, layout, helpful restaurant menus in the laundy room, beach chairs and umbrellas right on the beach, and proximity to the beach. What a great place to be in May! My daughter and her fiancee, my son and his wife, my husband I were there for a week before my daughter's wedding and the house was fabulous. It is a beautiful home in a wonderful location, just far enough away from the beach to have privacy, but close enough to walk home to the private pool mid-day. The views are spectacular! Perfect location for my daughter's beach wedding and reception at Gulf Place, minutes from the house. Everything you could ever need in one place. Can't wait to go back. Thank you for providing us with such a great place for our daughter's dream to come true.Also, thank you for being so kind and easy to work with.

Hi Barb, I wanted to thank you so much for letting us rent your house. We all had a wonderful time in Florida. Your house is so beautiful and very kid friendly. My children and my husband loved the xbox. The pool was perfect for all of us and the kids liked all the beach toys. The beach access was better than we had thought. It was actually pretty funny watching everyone get up and down. There is a big possibillity that we will rent this next year. What a wonderful week. Three families shared the house and it was plenty large enough for all of us. No one ever felt crowded. We did have cooperartion from mother nature...not one day of bad weather. We never even went to shop except for the grocery store. The kitchen was so well equipped and we enjoyed grilling and cooking together. No one even asked to go out to eat. We all enjoyed the beach and the pool. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful home. Brian & Barb, I want to thank you for sharing your beach house with us. We felt like we were at someone's home instead of just a house by the beach. We rent a beach house each summer & you were our 1st experience with VRBO. I actually think the service we got from you guys was a lot better then anything we've gotten from a rental agency. We only had 2 minor problems in our 2 weeks with you, the wrong size sheets for the fold out sofa & the battery died in the pool alarm. Both matters were dealt with by your on site maintenance/cleaning crew in a matter of hours. We will definitely use you again when we stay in this area. Thanks, Jennifer Bergen

HI IT'S BEEN ABOUT A MONTH SINCE WE STAYED AND WE JUST WANT TO TELL YOU HOW MUCH WE LOVED THE HOUSE. I LOVE TO DECORATED AND COULD REALLY APPRECIATE ALL THE WORK AND EXTRAS. THE HOUSE REALLY MADE THE VACATION BECAUSE THE WEATHER WAS HORRIDABLE. WE HAD 8 TEENAGES AND THE SIZE AND LAYOUT OF THE HOUSE MADE US VERY COMFORTABLE EACH HAVING THEIR OWN AREA BUT THE MAIN LIVINGROOM HAD ENOUGH SITTING AND DINING AREA FOR ALL 10 OF US. THE POOL WAS A LIFE SAVER BECAUSE EVEN WHEN IT WAS WINDY THE BUSHES BROKEN THE WIND AND THE HEATED POOL WAS WARM ENOUGH TO SWIM IN CONFORTABLY. BECAUSE WE HAD TEENAGERS WE LOVED THAT THE MASTER BEDROOM WAS RIGHT NEXT TO THE DOOR, THE ONLY WAY OUT. HA HA. EVERYONE TOLD US WE WERE IDIOTS FOR TAKING THAT MANY TEENAGERS BUT I HAPPY TO SAYS THEY BEHAVIOR VERY WELL. WHAT I WAS MOST IMPRESSED WITH WAS HOW RESPONSIVE YOU WERE TO OUR QUEATION AND NEEDS ONCE WE WERE DOWN THERE. WHEN THE GAS GRILL WASN'T WORKING IT WAS FIXED WITHIN THE HOUR. Barbara and Brian! Wow what a great vacation! I am having a hard time adjusting to reality this week! Your home is so lovely and we had the most incredible vacation! The weather was great except for the Storms Wednesday night that had a lot of lightning and rain. The rest of the weather was just great! We absolutely loved the location and indulged in Goatfeathers - the key lime pie was great, Snapperheads and went into Destin a few times. We found a great little place called Callahan's from 98 turn toward the beach on Gulf View Drive...Great sandwiches and dinner items for reasonable prices...The photographer suggested this. By the Way, our photographer turned out great except the winds were at 30 mph the day of the photos! We met him on Santa Rosa Island or Oakaloosa Island and had pictures taken in the sand dunes and beach, some turned out great but again it was windy. His name is Jay Michael Image Photography of Destin. Your pool was outstanding. This was heaven for the kids and parents alike. It was great waking up and letting the kids swim early before hitting the beach. The pool was great size and if we ask our kids their favorite thing about vacation the pool always comes up! The beach is so close and we had a ball building castles and forts in the sand! I love how kid friendly your home is, the kids played puzzles and watched movies etc. Just wanted to let you know that we really enjoyed ourselves and a big thank you for allowing us to stay in your home! Hi Barb, It has been over a month since our trip to your beautiful beach home. With all of the news of Ivan we are hoping that the Palm Paradise is in tact. We had a wonderful time in your home and hope to return again soon. The kids loved the great third floor and the pool. We enjoyed Santa Rosa Beach very much. Steve is heading to Gulf Shores for a few weeks of relief work (electrical lineman)to help with the rebuilding of the electrical system. He sure wishes the reason for the trip to that area was to return to your great home on the beach.

This is by far the nicest, well equipped, most convenient home we ever stayed in. We have rented in Seagrvoe, Tampa, and Hilton Head. Your beach home does not feel like a rental home. You have created more of a family home atmosphere by adding all of those special touches : game cube, beach chairs, pool toys, huge gas grill, etc. My sister found your beach house on the internet. I wanted to tell you that the pictures do not do your house justice. The landscaping and the pool area are beautiful and the views from the multiple balconies are breath taking of the gulf. Our family "reunion" vacation at Palm Paradise was terrific. The layout of the house was perfect for all the different age groups (4 generations)! Everyone seemed to find their own space when they needed it and we enjoyed cooking and dining together in the great room. The location of Santa Rosa Beach is so perfect! We have family that likes to drive from Kentucky or Texas and it seems so convenient. The house location is fantastic ...quiet and so near the beach! We had early risers and late beach walkers. There was always something to do. Everyone agreed that Palm Paradise had everything to offer for a perfect family vacation and we are planning on returning next year!

We had a great time despite an unwelcomed visitor - "Tropical Storm Bill"!! The house is beautiful, with great views, and a short walk to the beach. The kids were kept entertained by the game cube and their own play area. We were able to get out every day to swim, and play at the beach. We have rented several houses in the area and this definitely has the biggest pool. There were great areas for taking daily walks or bike riding. We walked across the street to get seafood from Goatfeathers to grill and our favorite restaurant was Nick's. It was a wonderful time and we higly recommend Palm Paradise to future visitors!!

Experiencing Seaside compared to Santa Rosa Beach, we would come back to Santa Rosa Beach anyday! Seaside was too crowded for us. The beach by Palm Paradise is perfect, not crowded and quite beautiful! We do have one problem though, the pool has totally spoiled us. We had a grand time at the beach house. On the days it was to cold on the beach we were able to sit at the pool. The third floor was a great getaway for the teens. The walk to the beach was nice. The Virtual tour does not do this home justice. The house is wonderful and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well equipped. The children were entertained with the game cube and their own den.
