I just wanted to let you know we really enjoyed our stay at "Coach House." It was very comfortable and the kitchen was very nice and well equipped. As well as having a nice 'homey' feel, the house was also very well supplied in terms of linens, bedding, towels etc. We had a very nice thanksgiving dinner at the house and a nice day on Friday exploring the area. Thank you very much.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had a lovely week at the Coach House in late September. The house really is on top of a hill - and offers terrific views and amazing sunsets. We found everything we needed and went grocery shopping down the street to cooked almost every meal at "home". We traveled with our two young children (1 and 4), who really enjoyed playing in the yard and woods. The house really is close to everything and we took several little trips to the nearby Berkshire Museum, Shaker Village, Stockbridge, Lenox and Great Barrington. We found great sandwiches at the Housatonic Deli in Lee and had terrific pizza at Baba Louie's in Great Barrington. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept well during the crisp New England nights. The stairs were a bit steep for our little ones to climb up and down, so we had to carry them (oh my aching back!). Also, this is an old house, so the hardwood floors creak a lot. We must have looked like FBI agents, trying to strategically maneuver the creaks so as not to wake the children. The owner and her family are so warm and hospitable - such a pleasure to deal with. We hope to come back and stay with you again. Thank you!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We spent New Years weekend at Coach House and were so happy with the house and dealing with the owners. Everything was just as described and we greatly appreciated the fantastic kitchen as we mostly cooked the whole weekend. It was also wonderful to be a short walk from town. Lee was such a perfect location for friends from Boston and New York to meet each other and celebrate the new year. Thanks for such a comfortable and lovely place to have this reunion!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My husband and I and 2 of our adult children had an absolutely perfect time over Thanksgiving in this wonderfully inviting house that has been lovingly restored and maintained. The evening we arrived, after going out to eat at the Bombay Inn up the road (a real hit), we relaxed in the cozy living room and read out loud passages from a fascinating book about the history of Lee written by Ann's mother, Florence Consolati, who lived in the Coach house for 70 years. The amazingly well-stocked kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our Thanksgiving meal that we shared around the lovely round table in the sun-bathed dining room. We walked off our dinner later that afternoon by exploring downtown Lee, finding it to be a very charming little town on the Housatonic River beneath the country's tallest wooden steeple. We returned to the house just in time to see a beautiful sunset from the front porch which has a magnificent view of the Berkshires. The next day we took some scenic drives, including a stop at the Clark Art Institute in Williamstown. That night we went out onto the porch again, this time to star gaze. The Coach house was a real Thanksgiving gift for all of us. We hope to come again! BarbaraDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

We are busy preparing for the storm but I did want to tell you how much we enjoyed staying at your home. You thought of so many things to make your guests comfortable which most other places don't! It was refreshing to have trust and faith that we would leave the check for you and not to be asked for a security deposit. Lee is a perfect location to enjoy the Berkshires as it is so convenient to everything. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the front porch. Should we come back to the area we would certainly want to stay in your home again. Keep safe during the storm.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Again, I thank you and family for the pleasure of being in your house. It was amazing to me how much we felt immediately at home there. Everything so comfortable, from the surrounding landscape, to everything inside - playing the piano and sending some music through the house was an added enjoyment. We hope to come again sometime. Thanks for all your care and hospitality, BetsyDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Hi Ann, I've been meaning to write you back. We actually had a very nice time, only it was frustrating not being able to take advantage of the yard. I can only imagine how nice it would be to sit out on the lawn chairs with a nice book... Anyways, we loved the house, it has a wonderful feel to it, and we felt very much at home. My mom found the book that your mom wrote about the history of Lee and loved reading through it. I really liked the picture of the 1943 championship football team your dad coached. All the details like that make it a really fun place to stay. Anyways, we'll have to try it again sometime. Thanks to yourself and your sister for being such great hosts - MarcDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
