Relax at the beautiful 5 mile long Embden Lake. Stay in your own 4 season oasis. We are located right on the water with beautiful views of the lake from our large deck. There's nothing between you and the water! The swim dock is just a stone's throw away. We have a private boat slip (#14) for you to use at the boat dock just a quick 2 min walk from the cabin. Embden lake is spring fed and one of the most pristine lakes in New England. There's plenty of wildlife around and you will enjoy the cries of the loons at night.
Our cabin offers a full kitchen with a stove, microwave, and coffee maker, 2 bedrooms each with a queen bed, and a loft with 3 twins for the children. The large bathroom comes equipped with a hair dryer and glass enclosed shower. There are plenty of board games in the living room along with a large cable TV, DVD, VCR, and Stereo.
In the summer the water temp reaches 75+ degrees making Embden a swimmer's paradise! The lake houses the state's largest fish hatchery and stocks the lake with bass, land-locked salmon, and lake trout. You can relax while fishing from the boat dock. There is easy access to trails for hiking, cross country skiing, ATVs, and snowmobiles. White water rafting is located nearby as well as Sugarloaf mountain, which hosts a world renowned golf course and excellent alpine skiing, just 35 min away.
Enjoy a Barbeque on our deck at night watching the sunsets and listening to the cries of the loons. There is a table and chairs to enjoy your coffee after another beautiful Maine day. You will feel refreshed and relaxed while you get away from it all. |
