At Sandcliff our goal is to provide our guests with the absolute best in accommodations and relaxation. Sandcliff is nestled in on a quiet road with wildlife, woods, peaceful atmosphere, yet only four miles from the Downtown District of Bar Harbor,and only 1.5 miles to the entrance to Acadia National Park.

We recommend this vacation home for the Bar Harbor area. The property was everything it was pictured to be and well maintained and clean. It worked perfectly for our family and Bonnie was very helpful and wonderful to work with. The road was quiet and peaceful, also, which was nice for open windows at night! What a wonderful place at 2 minutes from the beautiful Acadia Ntl park and close to everything in a quiet environment. Miss Ray has set-up all the info needed to prepare and achieve a perfect gateway to vacations! Bar Harbor is one of the nicest places in USA that has kept his authenticity…Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Our time at Sandcliff was perfect! We ate at our favorite restaurant (Mache Bistro-135 Cottage Street) and enjoyed our stay. The accommodations were thoughtful and comfortable. My husband and I felt right at home and anything that we needed was right at our fingertips. The house was tasteful and immaculate. We look forward to returning as soon as possible. We highly recommend this house.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

Two couples stayed here to enjoy a week of October in Maine. We loved the home! It was certainly very clean, well stocked with very comfortable beds. It was attractively decorated. My sister-in-law and I decided we could live here year round very happily without bringing anything but our clothes from home. We hiked all day and then came back to this wonderful home. I would certainly recommend this home to anyone looking to stay in this area of Maine.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Loved the house. Internet worked great. Porch was fantastic for enoying the outdoors with the dog. Weather was fantastic. House is maybe 5 minutes from Acadia and 10 minutes from dowtown Bar Harbor. Absolutely perfect location. Quiet and well-equiped. We loved it up there! Hopefully, we'll be back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Home overlooks the water with spectacular sunrises. Wrap around porches provide beautiful views. 1st floor bedroom perfect for teenagers. Location is peaceful- close to Bar Harbor and Acadia.Recommended for: Families with teenagers.

Just as promised...Open, airy, light, spacious, comfortable. Wrap around deck & master bdrm deck are baby safe and offer sea views, the kitchen is well equipped (2 lobster pots), many wonderful blueberries bushes, a great place for walks away from Bar Harbor crowds, smallest bdrm has a beautiful sunrise view, nice quiet nights. Recommendations for dining were spot on! We were very pleased.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+.

Well maintained, clean, comforable property. We especially liked the gated wrap around deck with ocean views. Perfect spot for our dog. There were blueberry bushes in the back of the house, our children picked berries to have for breakfast everyday. Great spacious kitchen. Comfortable bedrooms. Great location for enjoying Acadia Park but away from the hustle-bustle of Bar Harbor. Highly recommend this house.Recommended for: Pet owners.

About the owner: I fell in love with the magical island of Mount Desert in 1982. I was fortunate to be able to move here and start a business and build two lovely homes. I love to travel as well and always rent a house where ever my travels bring me. I appreciate the comforts of home when I am away, so I strive to make your comforts a priority as well,
The Unique Benefits at this House:
There is nothing more magical then Acadia National Park and Mount Desert Island. My homes are located on a very quiet road, with ocean view towards the North, and beautiful woods to the South. Wild blueberries grow all summer in the woods, and if you pay attention who will always spot a deer or two. We are close to the downtown area of Bar Harbor (4 miles), and exactly 1-1/2 mile to the entrance to Acadia National Park.
