This is a RiverWild Phase 2 Forest Home, with larger bedrooms than Phase 1 homes. We keep the home in like-new condition at all times, very clean.
The Big Eddy 49 Home is located in the secluded RiverWild area of Mount Bachelor Village Resort on Bend's west side near Century Drive on the way to Mt. Bachelor. RiverWild is adjacent to the Deschutes River and is also very close to shopping and restaurants. The home was newly built in 2007 and all furniture and outfit was new at that time. We take great pride in the home and its location so close to many fun things to do during ANY season of the year.
The home has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, cabin style exterior architecture, contemporary and shaker style interior, about 2100 square feet interior plus 650 square feet covered porch and spacious 2-car garage, laundry in house, sleeps 6 adults plus 2 kids in ottoman style fold-up beds, NO SMOKING on the property, no shoes in house, 9-foot ceilings, living room has 24-foot ceiling, wooden blinds throughout, nicely decorated with numerous accessories and regional pictures.
The kitchen is equipped with granite tile counters, stainless steel appliances, 5-burner gas cook top, bar with 3 stools, and a full stock of utensils and countertop appliances.
The Deschutes National Forest is only 1 mile away. For shopping, restaurants and entertainment, the Old Mill District and Les Schwab Amphitheatre is 1 mile away and downtown Bend is 2 miles. Bend offers an excellent selection of restaurants.
Central Oregon is an outdoor mecca for mountain and road biking, hiking, equestrian, skiing, cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Trails leading to the Deschutes River Trail and the Phil’s Trail network in the National Forest are connected to the resort. A huge variety of trails are in the immediate area. Mount Bachelor ski area is just up the road 18 miles and a shuttle is available in winter with pick up point less than one mile from the house.
For golf, Tetherow is 1 mile away and Widgi Creek is 3 miles. There are over 25 courses in Central Oregon. There is great fishing on the Deschutes River, as well as many area lakes. Lava, pine trees and critters are everywhere! Truly a natural wonderland, unique in many ways.
The community swimming pool and hot tub are about 200 feet from the house. The hot tub is also open in winter. The tennis courts two blocks away.

Why the Owner Chose Bend
We enjoy all that Central Oregon has to offer during any time of year. The weather is great -- four distinct seasons but plenty of sunshine year-round. We purchased a home in Riverwild because it's the best location in Central Oregon. It's close to nature AND city activities, the homes and amenities are very nice and the neighborhood setting has a natural look with native ponderosa pines and landscaping. This is a secluded neighborhood that is away from main arterials, very safe for kids and relaxing for adults. Above all, the people of Bend are the friendliest you could ever ask for.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The deschutes river is adjacent to RiverWild and offers an idealic setting for a morning walk or run. If you walk around the neighborhood or river area at dusk, keep your eyes peeled for deer. This is our second home so it is outfitted as our own with no expense spared. We always keep the home in like-new condition, very clean.
Endless opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, cross country skiiing, snowshoeing. Mount Bachelor Ski Area is about 20 miles west of Bend.
