WENDOVER DUNES, Palmetto Dunes newest neighborhood (completed April, 2002), located in the prestigious Leamington area next to the Barrington Enclave, just 200 yards to the Atlantic Ocean.
This villa (brand-new April, 2002) features 2 master bedroom suites, each with spa tub, separate shower and walk-in closet. The first master suite by the screened verandah features a King size bed while the second bedroom has a Split King bed which splits into two twin beds.
The open floor plan offers a fully equipped kitchen, 9 ft. ceilings, large living and dining areas professionally designed and luxuriously furnished in the British West Indies style. Enjoy the comfort of ceiling fans on the private, full-length, screened verandah.
There are only four units in each of ten buildings in Wendover Dunes. Our villa is a 1st-floor villa with over 1600 square feet of living area. There is covered parking and a landscape view. The beach is only a 3-4 minute walk past the pool and a path between Somerset and Barrington oceanfront complexes.
The shared beautifully designed pool area features a Jacuzzi, separate children's pool, lovely gardens, grill area and direct path to beach. There is private covered parking and secure bicycle storage.
BIKE RENTALS - We have arrangements with Riding Tigers Bike Rentals to obtain discounted pricing on weekly bike rentals for our guests. You can contact them at 843-686-5833. In the summer, reservations should be made at least 2 weeks in advance as we run out of bikes every week. Our price includes delivery, pickup, locks and baskets.

Our family of 5 just completed a two week stay at this glorious villa - and have already made plans for next August! Beautifully appointed, incredibly spacious, absolute perfection! We have stayed at other villas in the past, but nothing compared to our 5 minute walk to the beach from this villa (enabling both early morning and sunset walks on the beach), a gorgeous pool where our children spent a lot of time including late evening swims, and my personal favorite - the beautiful screened in porch where we could enjoy our morning coffee and dinner (if we ate in). We rented bikes were took nice rides everyday - the area is very quiet and serene, but activity beckons and is only a moment away! We are so glad to have found this gem, and look forward to many more family vacations at this villa! Oh, a couple of restaurant finds this trip - Low Country Backyard - FABULOUS food, and we met Robert Irvine at his "Eat!" restaurant where on Tuesdays they have 50% off tapas and house wine! Enjoy!!

Just got back from Hilton Head and loved Villamare. The amenities are terrific. Clean, the pool is nice and large. 1102 is right there. 50 steps you are at the pool and 100 to the beach. LOVED looking at the beach all day. Will definitely be staying here again! Very close to the bike rentals and general store within walking distance. Great place to stay.

Hi Dick, Returned from Hilton Head late Sat. nite, it took our usual 14 hours. My family and I had a WONDERFUL time. The weather was perfect. Sunny and in the high 90's every day, just the way we like it. The villa was OUTSTANDING, beyond our expectations. It was spacious, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. It was only a 2 min. walk to the beach. So it was perfect. If we decide to go back again next year I will give you a call well in advance. Feel free to use any of my comments on your web site, I would recommend your villa to anybody. I am also sending you a picture of my family. We really want you to know how much we loved your condo. We would definitely recommend your unit to friends and family if they plan a trip to Hilton Head. The Wendover is a fabulous villa that is beautifully decorated. It fit six guests quite comfortably and was accessible to the beach and pool. I would highly recommend a stay at this villa!!!

Wow! Wendover is a very nice place. We had a ball, the weather cleared and we had sunshine for the entire week. (thanks for not charging extra for that) Great location for our trip, I like the seclusion of wendover. We spent a lot of time on the beach, very accessible.
