This was a great location, around the corner from the great Magazine street with its restaurants, antigue shops, botiques and spa's. The Rum House, Guy's Po Boy's, and the absolutely superb Upperline Restuarant. Audobon Park and the Zoo a walk of 4-5 blocks, Whole Foods and SteinMart 4 blocks toward the river. The four bedroom house with 2 bathrooms was very clean, no bugs, great quiet neighborhood and dry patio in the back, Screened in front porch, loong farmers porch on the back , nice kitchen and flat screen TV. very comfortable. Will stay again and again. Not too fancy...Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

This house was perfect for 8 people to stay in and still feel there was room to spare. Clean, comfortable with plenty of space to spread out-we had the 'bride and bridesmaids getting ready' here and it couldn't have worked better. The kitchen was well equipped, linens and towels plentiful. Good location in Uptown but not a super busy street-quiet and lovely, neighbors very nice too! I would certainly recommend this house and hope to stay here again. Within walking distance of Whole Foods, Audubon Park, zillions of shops and restaurant on Magazine - loved the placement in the city.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

This vacation rental was even better than I expected. We rented the house for a Tulane alumni reunion trip and it was just perfect. Well kept and spacious, this home is a great find. The location is wonderful, right near a plethora of great magazine shops, bars and restaurants. It's also a great place to stay during Mardi Gras season, as it is a short walk to the parade route for uptown parades. The house features a great backyard space, complete with table and chairs for outdoor lounging. We will definitely be back for future trips!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, tourists without a car.

My family (7 adults and 1 baby) stayed in this house for my mom's 60th b-day. We had a great stay and would definitely return. The house was clean and comfortable with tons of room for all of us. The kitchen was well equipped and stocked - we cooked a few dinners and had everything we needed and more in the way of pots, pans, dishes, etc. The location of the house is great - right off of Magazine Street with walking to lots of cute shops. I think we loved the swing on the screened-in front porch the best - great view of the street. The owner was responsive and very helpful with any questions we had before/during out stay. Thanks for a great stay!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, tourists without a car.

Why the Owner Chose Uptown-Carrollton:
This property originally belonged to my husband's grandparents, so this is not just a vacation home, it is home! Originally two properties (923-925) we converted in into a four-bedroom residence to accommodate our family and allow us a place to go and relax with family and friends.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We enjoy the fact that we can walk to the supermarket, Whole Foods, and a number of great restaurants whenever we are there. The street is nice and quiet despite its proximity to Magazine Street. Access to the Quarter is quick and convenient via the St. Charles trolley or the Magazine Street bus.
