We live in a small community in southern Indiana, close to Indiana University. My husband and I have been traveling to Isla Mujeres for many years and actually got engaged on the beach behind our house. It is a beautiul place right on the Carribean. Words cannot even begin to describe how breathtaking it is to wake up looking at the blue ocean. We alway love coming back to enjoy ourselves with great people/friends that we have met, and love to be around as much as we can. Why the Owner Chose Isla Mujeres
We decided to invest in this house because we knew how much potential it had and has. We have complety remodeled the inside and outside of the house and even added on an entire room as well. We have been to many different parts of Mexico and the Carribean islands and have yet to find a place comparable to Isla Mujeres. It is close enough to a big city (Cancun) where you can get certain supplies that you may not be able to get on the island. Which is also why we love it because it is a very small island, you get the sense that you have escaped reality without all of the big city life. However, if you are looking for a good time, it is to be had. The nightlife on the island is great with several clubs and bars worth visiting that stay open until the wee hours of the night if that's what your looking for. Isla also offers a plethera of different types of restaurants, don't think all you can get is Mexican food. Take a walk down Hildago and you will notice many options for even picky eaters. During the day, the beaches are absoulutely exceptional take walk down the Play Norte and you will understand what I mean. There are tons of tiki huts and beach bars to enjoy while you sunbathe in the white powder sand and warm teal colored water even in the winer months! You can't get that in Florida...
The Unique Benefits of this House
While staying at our property (Casa de Playa Amarillo) you will enjoy the most beautiful sunsets and sunrises ever in your life. We even make it a point to go home to watch them when we are on the island, they are that magnificant. That is because our house sits on the highest point on the island overlooking everything. Take a walk up the spiral stairs to the rooftop where the hot tub is and the view is amazing. Another great benefit is that our house is within walking distance to all of the downtown attractions and beaches. Therefore you do not have to rent a golf cart if do not want to and save a lot of money. Further more, our home has some of the cleanest water on the island with a US installed water purification system which means yes you can drink the water and ice!
