Charming Key West-style home in the middle of the National Key Deer Wildlife Refuge on Big Pine Key in the lower Florida Keys. This unique, ground-level home is on a canal only a short boat ride from open backcountry water that offers excellent fishing, spectacular bird watching, and peaceful sea kayaking. Yet, close to shopping, restaurants, world-class beaches, and Key West is only 30 minutes away.
This house, recently repainted in fun Key West pastel colors, boasts a newer kitchen and two baths. The kitchen come fully equipped with two refrigerators with ice maker, new gas stove, NEW dishwasher, disposal, full size washer/dryer, microwave, toaster oven, blender, and coffee maker. Plus tons of dishes, pots and pans, serving pieces and cooking utensils. We also have a Gas Grill on the back patio.
The private master suite with en suite bath (shower stall) has been decorated completely in white wicker with a dramatic king-size, white wicker, four-poster bed with designer linens.
Bedroom Two has two twin beds and Bedroom Three has two twin beds also. Plus additional sleeping space in the living room (double futon and single futon) and a trundle bed with two twins in the master suite. (the trundle bed can be moved out of Master Bedroom)
The best feature of this house is the very large screened porch with large dining area and tons of comfortable porch furniture.
The double lot yard has two large shade trees with a large hammock. The large, canal-front concrete dock has a convenient boat ramp for smaller crafts. We offer a fresh water hose and outside shower right on the dock. There is plenty of parking in the fenced yard for boats, trailers and cars. Additional storage is available for boat/fishing gear in a lockable shed in the yard.
This ground-level home is ideal for vacationers that do not want to deal with stairs typical of elevated Keys-style homes. Plus, the fenced yard is perfect for pets and wandering children. Plenty of space in the house and yard to spread out.
Linens, towels, dinnerware, glassware, cooking utensils, and some condiments included. Startup quantities of paper supplies, soap, laundry detergent, and garbage bags are supplied. We offer Direct TV and VCR/DVD on both TVs in the Living Room and Master Bedroom. We do not supply beach towels.
For your convenience (within two miles): Winn-Dixie grocery store, bait and tackle shop, dive shop, hardware store, liquor store, CVS Drug Store, convenience store, post office, great pizza delivery, great Chinese delivery, clothing stores, gas stations and marinas, boat rentals, beaches and uninhabited islands, only living coral reef in North America.
