The Island of Curacao has many wonders to enjoy. Take in the most beautiful sunset you've ever seen, snorkel before breakfast, dive right from our beach, teach your children to swim or eat at one of the two restaurants located at Playa Lagun. All of these are at your fingertips from Lagoon Ocean Resort. The waters are calm and the sea life is abundant. The climate is warm, yet our trade winds keep you comfortable. Curacao is located outside the hurricane belt next to Aruba in the Caribbean where it never rains for very long.

This condo sits approximately 20 feet above sea level and is located less than 15 feet from the waters edge. The view is nothing less than spectacular. Leave the windows open and enjoy the sounds of the sea. Lounge in the pool just outside your back door or walk down the steps to Playa Lagun. A dive shop is located next to our property. Christoffel National Park and Shete Boca are about 15 minutes away.

You are sure to run out of time before running out of things to do and see. We have a full time Resident Manager on site to attend to your needs and ensure a carefree stay. We also have a 3 bedroom, 2 full bath unit available right next to this unit. The two units can accommodate a total of 10 guests.

We really enjoyed our 2 week vacation here. The condo has all the ammenities we needed. The patio is a wonderful place to sit at all times of the day. It is always pleasantly shaded so that you are out of the intense sun. We have stayed in other places in Curacao where you could not sit on the deck or patio in the afternoon until the sun went down. The view of the ocean and the lagoon is amazing. The owner is very prompt with all communications and very helpful. Thank you Scott. we look forward to returning for another vacation

The condo is as advertised. The view is spectacular. We stayed for a week in April and would definetly go back. If you want peace and quiet, with the ocean at your doorstep, this is the place for you. The snorkling here was the best we found on the island. Diving here was also top notch and a close second to Play Kalki and Porto Marie. You are definetly isolated on this end of the island, which was the reason we loved it, so don't expect a bar scene. You cannot beat the close proximity to the beaches. I loved being able to wake up in the morning, strap on the dive gear and go for a dive before breakfast without having to drive any where. The condo itself has just about anything you need. It is your typical rental condo type of items but does meet your needs. It would be nice if they provided a clothes drying rack though or had someplace to hang wet swimsuits and towels. The restaurant selection is very much lacking in this area of the island so make sure you stop at the grocery store on your way. Centrum is what I would call your typical chain grocery store with a good selection. The market in Barber is much closer to the condo but has less selection. Although it was still an interesting place to visit. If you do go out to eat and want to stay on this end of the island, make sure you go to Sol Food. The food was awesome, the view was great, and Sunshine and her staff were excellent. By far the best place we ate while on the island. We did a short trip to Shete Boka national park and it was worth the drive to see the other side of the island. If you like diving, or just relaxing on the beach, this is the place for you. We definetly plan on going back and are already counting down the days.

My daughter and I stayed here over Christmas 2012 and we absolutely loved it. We got our scuba certification at the dive shop just across the street from the beach area where we also ate several of our meals and enjoyed the fresh smoothies daily. We did cook most of our meals in the unit and the biggest down side was the fact that there is only half a sink and NO hot water. This is really the only negative I have about this unit. It made it difficult to wash dishes which we did several times a day since we oooked most of our meals. The hotel next door serves food, but they close pretty early so you willl need to eat early if you want to eat there. The a/c worked great, the showers were hot, and the daily visits from the iguanas was wonderful. There is a table and chairs on the back overlooking the ocean and we played games and had cocktails there every night. There was a tv but we werent able to get any channels, but we didn't miss it because we brought along books and a couple of games. The internet works great! The location is magical and we will be back. Also, the guests before us left us some beers and it was truly awesome to walk in and have a beer right away. We made sure to leave beers for the next guest as well along with an extra cooler. There is a cooler in the unit, but it was nice to have two for the beach so we had a food and a drink cooler as they are both small and toteable.

This was our third visit to Lagoon Ocean Resort in Curacao! We have stayed at the Marriott also, but I have to tell you, the view from here cannot be compared to any other on the island! With a lagoon facing unit, you get the benefit of hearing the waves splashing all night but can still watch the sunset over the ocean and sunrise over the mountains off of the balcony. The unit works wonderfully for a couple and has everything you need. Lagun beach is just down the stairs and the snorkeling there is among the best on the island. Traveled daily to many of the beaches and each one has it's own special personality. But returning to this condo to watch the sunset and grill our dinner was a perfect end to each day. We shopped at Centrum near the airport which carries everything from A to Z. We also ate at Landhuis Daniel and of course Sol Food. Both were great. Two weeks in paradise leaves you with a whole new outlook on life. Will definitely be back. Thanks Scott and Ruth!

We were extremely happy with our trip to Playa Lagun and, in particular, this property. With a very few exceptions, the condo had everything we needed to enjoy our 10 nights on Curacao. Morning coffee watching the sunrise before preparing breakfast, snorkeling on site, daily driving adventures to beaches, parks, town, shopping, villages, etc., back to have a tiki drink by the pool under the palapa or as the sun set, dinner on site (or off) before collapsing in bed. We used the DVD/TV combo a couple of times as we brought some DVDs. The security was excellent, grounds and landscaping very nice. It was a haven for the two of us. I will review the area next on tripadvisor. I would recommend a larger condo for more than 2 adults with perhaps a small child or two. I loved the downstairs shower in the full bathroom for rinsing our snorkeling gear. Playa Lagun is a great location if have a car and a good map. We were never bored. We did prepare most of our meals on site. Groceries and supplies are within 15 minutes in Barber with other options closer to town.

All I can say is WOW! My teenage son and I stayed at Scott and Ruth’s place for 10 days in June and we are now officially addicted to the Lagun and Curacao. The condo is perfect in every way. The views from the ground floor patio and the second floor balcony and spectacular, the beach is only a flight of stairs away. The condo has everything you need. Everything is within a short fun drive. We bought freshly caught tuna from the fisherman at the beach, which made several meals for us. We got our PADI Open Water certification from the Discover Diving dive shop at the beach. We dove several sites on the island, but Lagun’s reef was our favorite. When snorkeling in the lagoon we saw turtles, octopus, squid, eels and countless tropical fish. It felt as if we were swimming in a giant aquarium. The caretaker Ivy was great. I got so relaxed during my vacation that I became absent-minded and left my iPhone at the condo the last day. I emailed Scott, Scott called Ivy and she Fedex’d my phone overnight. They saved my neck. We are definitely coming back. We explored a good chunk of the island, but there is so much more to see. We dove with a couple from NY and it was their 15th trip to Curacao. I totally understand why they keep coming back. Make sure to rent a car with a GPS and don’t be afraid to explore – there is so much to see!

Dear Scott & Ruth Thank you very much for renting us your lovely corner Villa at the Lagun Resort in Curacao. Thank you for all your help and knowlege regarding what to do, where to go, where to eat, etc.Took your advise and took a taxi to GH Car Rental at qualitycars3@yahoo.com. I had e-mailed them before leaving the U.S. within minutes, I had a call from the owners son and made our reservations. Upon arrival at GH car rental they had us on my way. I really enjoy renting from this company, they were very professional and inexpensive!!! On the way to the Lagun Resort, we stopped and shopped at Cost-u-Less to buy food, but the food there is in bulk. We also shoped at Centrum, that's a nice supermarket and has everything you need. I had the best St. Patrick's Day Birthday ever! My husband and went Scuba diving for the very first time. Words could not decribe our underwater experience. Following a wonderful Pervian dinner on the waterfront in Punda. We hit as much beaches as we could, Playa Porto Mari, Playa Jeremi, Playa Kenepa Grandi, Playa Kenepa Chiki, Playa Lagun and Playa Daaibooi. Our favorite beach was "Playa Porto Mari and Lagun Beach where we lived for a week and Playa Kenepa Grandi" We snorkeled everyday and enjoyed the beautiful fishes in the sea. My husband and I drove to Punda 5 out of 7 days to shop and enjoy the great eats. I really enjoyed the food at Fort Nassau Resturant. The service, the food and the 360 degree views were out of this world. I highly recommended this place. In fact, we meet a really cool couple from NYC at Shete Boka State Park and told them about this resturant. Two days later my husband and I decided to go back to Fort Nassau Restuarant. While dining, who walks in, the couple we met at Shete Boka State Park. They join us and we had the best dinner ever. Telling lots of fun stories and enjoying the food and views. If you are into art, you must visit Nena Sanchez's art. If you are thinking about visiting this island, you're in for a treat, the U.S dollar goes a long way, the beaches are beautifull and the weather is amazing everday. Bring bug spray and plenty of sun block. Contact Scott without resevations he has a very nice clean Villa and a wonderful property manager named Ivy who lives across the street. Scott and Ruth's Villa offers you the best bang for your buck!!! Peace & Blessings Patrizia & Darerel Lewis Catonsville, MD

We found the property to be exactly as advertised, very private and very comfortable and very safe. The amenities were exactly as described and we had all of the comforts of home, we could eat in or eat out and the views from the ground floor terrace and upper floor deck were spectacular at all times of the day. The property is very remote from the city, which is a great thing for peace and solitude and R & R, if that's what you are looking for, like we were. Up in the north end of the island, you are very close to many great beaches and places of interest to visit, but it is about a 30 min drive to the downtown, so it is vital to have a car if you're interested in visiting the city for dinner and nightlife, which we did, so it was great. I would highly recommend these accommodations if you're looking for what we described.

We are not divers, but we really enjoyed our nine nights here. The view from the patio is very special; many types of birds at the feeder and the Lagun beach below. The local contact, Ivy, was very helpful and Scott responded very quickly to email questions. There are not many dining options in Lagun, but dinners at the beach diving place and the adjacent resort were very good and reasonable. We also dined at Westpunt. The drive to Willemstad was easy; we went there several times. Trips to the east coast parks provided a great contrast--stark coral shores with waves constantly breaking. The Lagun beach and its lagoon were very peaceful and calm in comparison. The large numbers of divers setting out made it clear this was their kind of vacation site too. We visited a few other beaches on the west coast; they were very nice, but the handy Lagun beach was hard to beat. Curacao visitors are largely Dutch; it made the place seem more exotic, somehow, to be a minority tourist. Dollars are accepted everywhere, so we were not THAT small a minority.

Thank you Scott and Ruth for allowing us to share in your paradise. This was an awesome experience. The snorkling was great, the water was crystal clear. The Condo was immaculate and contained everything we needed in excellent working order. The 2 Dive Shops were very friendly and helpful to us amateurs. Would highly reccomend the Barbeque at Discover Diving which is offered on Sunday and Wednesday evenings. We have been back home for a week now and still dream of the gorgeous views from the upper deck.We will definitely be returning next year.
