Savor the essence of the Arbuckle Mountains at the original "big house" of the Buckhorn Ranch. Bring your horse and ride the trails* on nearly 1800 acres of private ranch property, enjoying incredible vistas of the Arbuckles and Arbuckle Lake.
Fishing, hiking, leisure biking and mountain biking are all available by stepping off the back porch. An eleven-acre private stocked lake has a beautiful picnic pavilion and inspiring walking trail. The finest outdoor viewing/photographing opportunity in the Arbuckles.
If you choose to leave the quiet ranch setting, Buckhorn and Guy Sandy Arbuckle Lake use areas are less than 10 minutes away. Visit Chickasaw National Recreation Area w/Travertine Nature Center, Turner Falls, or go antique shopping in Davis or Sulphur, all less than 20 minutes away.
Newly furnished Buckhorn Lodge has four bedrooms, two bedrooms w/bath at opposite ends of the Lodge with spacious living, dining and kitchen in between(2000sq.ft. lodge)
Your horse will find safe lodging in the adjacent ranch barn lot.
We have a few well trained trail horses of our own if you would like to schedule a guided Arbuckle horseback experience of a lifetime. Guided hunts for either whitetails or feral hogs are also available.

We had a wonderful time at Buckhorn Lodge last weekend! Your home is beautiful and very accommodating - we had 8 adults and plenty of room. It was immaculately clean and well equipped. We had one person in a wheelchair, and found the property to be accessible without too much difficulty. The pictures really don't do it justice! We enjoyed just relaxing on the porch, playing games on the lawn and watching the hummingbirds. The bison that came up in the mornings were a fun surprise, too! Local attractions and the Chickasaw National Park are very close by, but we could happily stay right on the property. The only problem we had was that our time was too short!! We had a fun, stress free weekend and time to enjoy one another and God's creation. Thank you so much for your hospitality - we will definitely be back - and this time for a longer stay!

My family had an awesome time at your ranch last weekend! It was so quiet and peaceful. The views were amazing! My brothers and cousins enjoyed the paddle boats and fishing. You had everything we would ever need available there and ready for us to use. You ranch was close enough to all the area attractions, we had a great time.

We have been to Buckhorn Lodge twice and we love the relaxing atmosphere and peaceful feeling you find there. The property has spectacular views and there is a lot to enjoy along the trails, from beautiful trees and wildflowers to birds and deer. The lodge has everything you need for a perfect vacation. The rooms are decorated with beautiful themes and the house is so comfortable and relaxing. We highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy a wonderful, refreshing, relaxing vacation! We'll be back!
