Excellent Stay, Relaxing Environment

My family and I have just returned from Cottonwood and enjoyed each day there. The kids loved playing in the nearby swimming hole and seeing bunny rabbits and deer; the wife and I enjoyed taking in the secluded area and seeing those bunny rabbits and deer, too. All around is beautiful scenery, and the schoolhouse has been remodeled very well into a cozy house. When passing by people on the road, we would always get a friendly wave and a smile. Nearby Harrison has plenty of places to shop for essentials and to dine out. In fact, my wife and I have even talked about returning, without the kids, so to enjoy the seclusion and the peace and quiet a lot more. I highly recommend this getaway location for everyone.

Owner response:We're so glad you enjoyed your visit, and we look forward to your next stay!

My wife and I took a group of teenagers to Branson for a couple of days and stayed here. Everyone loved it ! There were plenty of sleeping beds for everyone so no one had to sleep on the couch. Everything was very nice and well maintained. Bill Durst is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet too !

Absolutely the most peaceful and relaxing vacation we've ever taken. This is the place to get away from it all. Bring your own movies, go for a hike, grill some steaks, sit by a campfire, go to bed when you want, get up when you want, and don't bother looking at the clock.

We had a marvelous time at the Cottonwood Schoolhouse! Beautiful, serene setting, plenty for the kids to do, restful for the parents. This was the first get-away we've had in years, and it was just what we needed. Thanks for a great place to rest and reconnect.
