This 3 BR, 2 bath cabin is beautifully decorated with all the comforts of home and handicap accessible. It is located on LONG LAKE, which is a 3,300 acre lake known as the "Walleye Capital of Wisconsin" but also known for its bass and pan fish. The lake feels very private as the Boy Scouts own about 10 miles of shoreline that is undeveloped but yet has marinas and many restaurants on the lake so you never have to leave the lake. This cabin is located on the large north bay of Long Lake which is large enough for water skiing, tubing and fishing. Or you can always head south and enjoy the scenery of the Boy Scouts land and the many good fishing areas.
This cabin is part of a 5 unit development called Whispering Pines. You share the grounds and shoreline with the other cabins. All the cabins and grounds are extremely well maintained. This is the only cabin within the group that is a rental so it may be very quiet during your rental week. You enjoy all the amenities the cabins share including a fish house with running water/refrigerator and trash collection. There is a large guest dock that you may use to moor your boat. Call our property manager, Northwoods Compass, at 715-645-0598 for a pontoon rental.
You will enjoy all the wildlife; eagles, osprey and loons are common on the lake. Try and spot the eagles nest on waters edge just south of this property. There is county property located across the road with hiking and ski trails and some "undiscovered" lakes stocked with trout. ATV trails are nearby and HAYWARD AND STONE LAKE are conveniently located if you need to run into town. A bait shop (and much more) is located just down the road. The town of Stone Lake is located only 6 miles away with shops, restaurants, Wi-Fi connections, wine shop, Co-op grocery store and Pine Knoll Country store.
This cabin has been tastefully remodeled for your full enjoyment. The master bedroom has a king bed, master bath and satellite TV. The cabin has a large kitchen adjoining a very nice family room with large TV and full entertainment center.
Enjoy the lake and the many area activities and then relax back at the cabin with all the amenities you enjoy at home. It is professionally managed by a local property manager, Northwoods Compass, which manages over 30 lakefront cabins in the Hayward area. Northwoods Compass has its own website by name which provides all cabin details. They are local and full-time so that you will receive excellent service during your stay.

The cabin was very clean, comfortable, and decorated nicely. It has everything you need and more! The neighboring cabin owners/renters were very friendly. The lake was beautiful with much wildlife and is a very short walk from the cabin. There was a covered boat dock for our use, which was so convenient. We had an excellent time and would definitely stay here again.

We were so comfortable and at home in this cabin that we hated to leave. Besides being adorable, spotless and practically brand new, the cabin was stocked with everything (more) than we needed: high quality kitchen utensils and appliances (we awoke to freshly brewed coffee from stocked gourmet beans - thank you), crisp linens, down pillows, and beautiful quilts, stocked bathroom toiletries, up-to-date movies, books, and games (though we practically lived outside). We had a week of very warm weather and the ceiling fans in every bedroom made sleeping very comfortable. We used the boat lift for fishing almost every day and even kept a decent supply of walley and crappy that we cleaned in the fish house (very cool) and grilled on the gas grill (got very hot). Near the cabin was an artesan spring that was a perfect distance to jog to(or walk to) for a fresh drink of water. I brought with a portable hammock to set on the deck overlooking the lake, where I read under the pines one day as my husband fished nearby. We also golfed the two courses nearby, which were both very nice courses. We were on the lake often, either fishing, kayaking (I brought one with), floating on rafts, or just boating (trying to reach the end of the lake). The name of the lake is very suitable. We chose a restful vacation up here this time. There are an abundance of activities to do nearby that I may want to check out next time. Or maybe not. I would definitely recommend this cabin to others - families and singles - and would go back in a heartbeat. The cabin and lot were beautiful, the other cabin owners were friendly, and the land around the lake was gorgeous.
