In the morning, watch and listen to the Howler monkeys,the numerous species of birds including green Parrots, Iguanas and Butterflies, which all share the neighborhood, or meander down the elevated boardwalk and take in the tropical Zen-like gardens, where over 50 varieties of flowering tropical plants, including, Bananas, Papayas, Mangoes, Lemons and Guayama Berries grow. We are located on a green zone of a dry tropical rainforest.
Each of the 4 homes offer private gardens and patios, where hammocks and a dining table are located .
Don’t miss the fishing. The local Ticos will clean them for you and have the grill fired up as there is nothing better than grilled fish (it can't be any fresher!)

It has always been my dream to spend part of my life in a warm country.
When I visited a friend in Flamingo in 2008 it seemed to me that this unique and special place was just waiting for me. Meanwhile I met the nicest people, and made really good friends in this little paradise of ours.

The listing description cannot begin to describe how beautiful a setting has been created for these 4 condos. The path that winds along the properties affords each on unique privacy. The listing photos reflect the rental's appearance; everything that you need is there! The dipping pool is also set among lush foliage: very refreshing, very private. El Tucan offers a feeling of total seclusion even though the condo is so close to the beach and in a developed area. I would recommend this property to my friends. There are several casual restaurants within walking distance.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

We stayed here over the christmas holidays 2009-2010 (4 adults and 1 child). The owner was really friendly and accomodating from the beginning (thanks!). The house itself is beautiful, modern and stylish, yet feels like a home. The gardens are well maintained and the guard was friendly and helpful. The neighbours were also really friendly and we enjoyed our morning chats (and their local restaurant tips) over a cup of freshly brewed coffee. The house is well located, only a short drive away from some of the most beautiful beaches in costa rica and walking distance to various supermarkets and restaurants. The house is truly a gem and I would recommend it to anyone who is planning to stay in the flamingo area.

El Tucan at Stef Serf is truley a hidden gem in the middle of a tropical paradise. I was only able to stay for a little under two but felt as though I was lost in a dream that I didn't want to end. The sounds of the ocean's surf and indigenous calls of creatures bless the property and transports you into the jungle. Simply beautiful. The duplex is very comfortable and is beautifully designed fitting perfectly in it's surroundings and is close to the beach and shopping yet away from it all. A vacation you will never forget.
Owner response:Thank you for that, I hear over and over again that people are pleasantly surprised about the Zen-like tranquility inside Stef Surf. I definitely feel like I stepped into a little paradise in the middle of a big paradise whenever I go there.
