My family and I stayed at this beautiful little house in Apr2010 We had an amazing time the house is directly on the beach. The caretaker was very helpful and brought us fresh coconut water everyday. (There are coconut trees all around the house) I would recommend renting a car. It is a 3hr drive from the Cancun airport.. I will def stay here in the future and recommend the house to anyone we know! On another note keep in mind you will have all the comforts of home, but El Cuyo is a very small town away from everything there are no bars, or discos just a few restaurants in town. We visited Tizimin (45min) and Colonial Yucatan (20min) if you run low on supplies they will have more than the stores in El Cuyo. While you're at it go see Armando and Amanda at the pizza joint in town(the only one) He's a personal chef and will cook a dinner in your home for you and your family. Thank you again Maria we had an amazing vacation in your home, and I look forward to visiting again soon!

This house was perfect. The caretaker was a real gentleman. The beach was incredible. It is quiet and remote in El Cuyo and I hope it will stay so. Maria Inez Loeza Rodriguez is very easy to work with and very helpful. She is a good and honest woman. I have no complaints and only good things to say.

My wife and I have stayed in this house for up to 3 months at a time in the past five years. It is a beautiful house, with modern easy to operate systems, two full bathrooms with showers, beautiful tile throughout, a veranda where you can hang your hamock in the shade and breezes and watch the ocean. El Cuyo is a small fishing village that is just opening up to gringo tourists. It is located about 3 hours from Cancun and has no discos, crowded beaches, or souvineer stands. It has fresh fish at the harbor, fresh vegtables deliverd to town everymorning by the local mayan women, a gently sloping beach that is great for swiming and windsurfing. The temperature is usually about 80 F and the water temperture is about 80 F. The area has old age jungle, savanah, beach dunes, and estuaries that support over 250 species of birds. The house is a wonderful place to spend a weekend a week or a month. There are local restaurants that serve a variety of local fish dishes. The house is furnished with utinsils and everything needed to prepare your own meals. Catering and takeout are also available.
