Usually when you think of Sandestin you think of resort condos, but I’ve got to tell you, I just found an unbelievable beach house that looks like it belongs on the corner of Paradise and Paradise. The address is #40 Rue Caribe and it is one of the coolest Beach Houses in Sandestin. This place just rocks. And that’s right it’s in Sandestin, that oh so chic resort here in the Panhandle. The best place to start is with the golf cart. That’s right, it comes with a golf cart! So if you don’t want to walk that 300 or so steps to the beach you can drive. That’s kind of special, don’t you think. And if that gives you the idea that this place is a pampering kind of beach house, you get the picture. (Speaking of pictures, check out the ones I’ve got for you.)
I usually don’t start talking about the kitchen, but when I see a kitchen that looks like it’s got 50 grand worth of stuff, I’ll start there. It’s got a 6 burner gas range. The kind you see in restaurants. Viking. If you know anything about appliances you know that’s the best. You’d think Emeril owned the place. It’s got a huge double door refrigerator. There’s a pot rack over the cooking island. A built in oven and microwave. You’ll think you moved into the William Sonoma catalog.
Wait. It gets better. How about the sunk in patio Jacuzzi hot tub. So, if you don’t want to head to the beach but want a little aqua, just step right out of the living room and step into the hot tub. (Don’t believe me. Check out the pix.)
Oh, and the living room. Let me tell you about that. Let’s see. Gorgeous seating around the fireplace. That’s right. Fireplace. And over the mantle a giant flat panel TV. So, when you’re not beaching you can probably catch a Braves game during the afternoon. Man what a life.
Now, let me mosey on to the Master which is located, I swear, in another wing. Leave bread crumbs you’ll get lost in here. What a place. King size bed, sitting area, candles, wow. And the Master Bath. Tiled from floor to ceiling. Shower and tub. It’s awesome.
There’s a 2nd Master with a queen. Big room.
And a 3rd Master with a queen. Is there no end to the bedrooms?
Back outside for a minute. There’s a garden area with chaise lounges, just for your relaxation. Imagine sunning yourself there. A couple of steps and your in the Jacuzzi. Now, if you’re not going to the beach (which I’m not sure why you wouldn’t be going) this is pretty close to perfect. Know what I mean?
I wish I could do this place justice. You’ll just have to look at the pictures.
And I forget the best part. You’re in SANDESTIN. The epicenter for upscale beach vacations. Sandestin is 2400 acres of all kinds of attractions. For example, there’s The Village at Baytown Wharf. It’s like New Orleans & Seaside Community all-rolled-into-one-place. There's food, music everywhere, specialty shopping, a candy maker, even movies or concerts on the green during most of the year. The tour guides call it “festive”. I call it just plain cool. Here you have... 11+ miles of paved trails for jogging, bicycling, or just strolling... a beautiful swimming pool... a nature conservancy area... fresh and saltwater fishing... kids programs... a full service 98 slip marina with boat rentals... award-winning restaurants... spa and full service health club... turquoise blue waters and the most beautiful sugar sand beaches in the world!
The long and short of it is this. Imagine a beach paradise. Close to everything. But private and intimate. That’s 40 Rue Caribe. It sleeps 6. Got 3 full baths. Fully equipped for the best vacation you’ll ever have.
