Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
I have always been drawn to Maui, especially Kihei, for it's very so pace, loving people and weather that is found almost no other place else in Maui. We receive very little rain here, great for sun lovers!! Kihei is a very small town, yet with all of the conveniences of a larger city. Close to Wailea, if Golfing is your pleasure, fast food and retail stores abound. Upscale restaurants are also a few blocks from the house. A community swimming pool is located just 2 blocks away, it has 4 pools, including a toddler pool for your use, 7 days a week.
The Unique Benefits at this House
I think that the most unique feature of this property would be the peace and quiet, the uncrowded beach, (as I always tell guests, it is very easy to find a crowded beach in Maui, but if you are looking for a home and property were you can wear your robe to the beach to have your morning coffee in almost complete privacy.....this is the spot!!

This was a beautiful house to stay in. Plenty of room and the view!!! The lanai was where we spent most of our time, it was gorgeous, what a way to see a sunset!!! This was very well equipped from cooking utensils to towels. We have stayed at plenty of rental homes and this was great. So much better than a hotel or condo. It was also very quiet, even though you have neighbors. I would definitely rent this again for another family get together. Thanks!!

A great place for a reunion

There are 7 of us women who have been close since High school, and some since grade school. Since we all turned 60 this year, we wanted to make this reunion memorable. After a lot of research, we chose Mitzi's home. It has been an awesome experience from the first email to reserve the date all the way through to a thank you note when we arrived home. It is located in a very quiet and private area of Kihei beach. It was easy to find and within walking distance of anything you wanted. It has an amazing view of the beach and huge front yard for just relaxing with a book or playing yard games. The home was spotless and had all the essentials needed. All we needed to bring was our clothes and pick up a few groceries for breakfast and snacks. I personally got to stay an extra day after my friends left and was comfortable there alone. The neighbors and locals were helpful and full of information for places to go. With the exception of Sunday afternoon we were busy going, going, everyday. All our activities were close by and we came home with amazing photographs and wonderful memories. Compared to other places I have stayed at on Maui the price was very fair. I admit as a timeshare owner I was spoiled rotten and probably will never be able to stay in a condo again. I can't wait to take my family for Thaanksgiving or Christmas. I would recommend this to any family who want the convenience of a kitchen, or just wants to relax with some privacy. The only negative I can say is it has no pool, but the beach as your front yard more than made up for it. You will not be disappointed by the house, the wonderful housekeeper Mariel, or the owner Mitzi!!

Mitzi, I am one of the group of 7 women from Seattle area who stayed at your lovely home a few weeks ago and celebrated our 60th birthdays. Your home is lovely, warm, super clean, stocked with everything you would need, and a super location. Close to stores, shops, restaurants and activities...many, within walking distance. Your housekeeping staff were wonderful! Very helpful, friendly and made us feel right at home immediately! We loved the lanai off the kitchen/living room...so lovely to sit there and look out at the lovely ocean and scenery! We had a wonderful time and would definitely come back again! Mitzi, I was one of the 7 women who just stayed in your lovely home. We were all celebrating our 60th birthdays and it was just perfect for us! Super clean, lots of room, and with 7 women, plenty of bathroom space, storage, etc. We loved the deck off the kitchen/living room, and spent hours sitting there staring out at the ocean, the stars, the beautiful scenery! Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable. Your staff were so friendly and very helpful. We had a group of six in our party, 4 adults and 2 adult daughters, and the layout of the house was perfect for our vacation. We rented the studio, too, and I'd highly recommend it. The house is very comfortable and equipped with everything you'll need, plus attractive tropical furnishings and good beds! We also loved our two resident Geckos and a Praying Mantis. We spent the majority of our early mornings on the upper lanai, enjoying our coffee and watching the kayakers, paddle boarders and snorkel boats, the kite and wind surfers in the windier afternoons, and spectaclar evening sunsets while enjoying libations! The house is gated and private with a wonderful, manicured grassy front yard to the beach with swaying palm trees!. We spent a lot of time on the beach by the small rock jetty, sunbathing and fishing. The water directly in front of the house has a lot of lava rock and not good for swimming, but the other side of the jetty has calm, shallow sandy waters and is good for taking a dip to cool off, but not snorkeling. The location is convenient to Kehei Town, a local grocery store and a few restaurants are walking distance. The shops at Wailea and our favorite snorkeling spots (Elua Beach and Ahini) are within fifteen minutes. There's a nice big screen TV in the living room, but not in the bedrooms or Studio. I think a TV in one of the bedrooms upstairs and the Studio would be a nice addition. We'd highly recommend this home as a home away from home in Kehei!

Our family of 9 stayed in this home for 2 weeks. It is located in a gated-nice-neighborhood. The house is as described plus very private and accommodating, as is the studio. The large lanai looks out to a well maintained lawn and beautiful palm trees. A short stroll has you at the waters edge. Enjoyed hanging out on the lanai, with early morning coffee and beautiful evening sunsets. The house has an "Awesome View"...we also celebrated our granddaughters wedding while we were there. Thanks Mitzi, it was great working with you ! I highly recommend this property and hope to return.

We had the most wonderful time at this home. We were getting married and we are a family of 5. My mom stayed in the unit below which was convenient for her to have her own adorable space right downstairs from us. The house has a huge sliding glass door out on to the deck which was fabulous! The view was breathtaking, the house inviting and the lawn well maintained. The beach right out in front was sandy and very private. We loved that we were in the heart of Kihei and could walk to stores and restaurants in our area, but we felt we were away from it all at the home. As you enter the house with the beautiful hand carved door leading into the entry, the spirit of Aloha welcomes you with the whole ambiance and how it is uniquely decorated. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook and eat there. Plenty of towels. Nice to have a washer and dryer to do your laundry at anytime. It was very pleasant to correspond with Mitzi and she was so patient whenever I asked a question before our stay. During the stay we know we could have contacted her at anytime and she would have gone above and beyond but that was not necessary. We did feel like it was our own home while staying here as nobody comes by to try to intrude on your vacation. I would highly recommend this property and have nothing but fond memories of this home. This home was super welcoming, warm and comfortable. The front patio was a great area for a family dinner. My husband is a chef, the kitchen was well equiped and not lacking in equipment. The lani was fun and we enjoyed hanging out and enjoyed the view. The bathrooms were fantastic. The bedrooms were superb. The decoration of the home was super cool. We loved the lizard statue. We named the two geckos who lived in the home. Everyone who came to visit us was blown away at what a wonderful house we had. We would recommend this home to anyone and definetly want to come back. What a fabulous house!!!! Mahalo to Mitzi!
