Another spectacular sunset on Mission Bay in Pacific Beach, San Diego.
Location: Pacific Beach, San Diego County, California, USA (1 mile to SeaWorld- Quiet Upscale Neighborhood on Sail Bay) View Map
Accommodations: Condo, 1 Bedroom + Other (See Description), 1 Bath (Sleeps 4)
Keywords: bay front, water front, condo, condominium, apartment, flat, beach, sand
It doesn't get much better than this! 180 degree unobstructed views like this are hard to come by. Imagine yourself sitting at the waterfront dining table or on the balcony watching the action below on Sail Bay; water-skiers, catamarans, sail boats, outrigger canoe teams, kite-surfing. Or go down the elevator to join the people strolling on the boardwalk or ride my four provided beach cruiser bikes on miles and miles of paths along the bay and oceanfront.
Sip wine on the balcony as you watch the sunset over the ocean or walk around the bay 8-10 minutes to the ocean to watch for the "green flash." At night you will see the two big paddle-wheel boats cruise right by your window, the lights of the strand across the bay and the moonlight reflecting off the water.
This Non-Smoking large (900 sq ft) 1 bedroom condo also features a guest Queen Murphy bed that pulls down from the wall right in front of the sliding glass doors and you have the sensation that you are sleeping over the water. You wake up to the most incredible changing colors on the bay. There is also a new queen sofabed.
Pelicans sitting on the buoys and egrets standing on the shore. Open the triple panel sliding glass door all the way and you will feel like you are dining outside over the water.
Professionally decorated in the colors of the extensive shell collection displayed on specially lit shelves, cabinets, and in dining table. Fabulous adjustable lighting lets you have as much or as little light as you want. Gas-log fireplace turns on in an instant. This is a very romantic place!
I have a large plasma TV, DVD and docking station for your ipod, as well as games, puzzles and books. (There is also a single Hide-a-Mat, toddler bed, Pack-n-Play, high chair, etc. available.)

Just a few steps from the water’s edge
VRBO Bear stayed here - 07/30/2009
Greetings from sunny San Diego, California! I was looking for a great place to stay and had a lovely time at Nancy’s Mission Bay condo.
This property couldn’t have been in a better location. It overlooks beautiful Sail Bay and is situated right on the sand—just a few steps from the water’s edge. The views from the large condo windows facing the beautiful Bay were simply amazing! When the slider doors were fully open (up to 8 feet!), I felt like I was right outside on the water. This was especially enjoyable in the evenings after catching the sunset.
There’s so much to do on the Bay and the condo was only a short walk to the ocean! I especially had fun riding around the Bay bike paths with the bicycles Nancy provided. Plus, there were beach chairs, sand toys, a beach umbrella and beach towels for use during my stay. The Bay was perfect for swimming, sun bathing and for play. Who wouldn’t love to relax in front of the fire place, watch multiple flat screen TVs or enjoy the use of the Wi-Fi after a day of fun?
With all the conveniences of home and many added luxuries, I had such a lovely vacation staying in Nancy’s condo. You would be missing out if you didn’t visit Mission Bay, and specifically this condo right off Sail Bay. If this one is already booked, you’ll be sure to enjoy professional, quality service when you stay at one of Nancy’s many other properties!

Units 5-25% Off Now-2/11!! Xtra Lg Deluxe Bayfront Condo
Year Purchased: 1990
Why the Owner Chose Pacific Beach
We live in a historic gold rush town in the mountains NE of San Diego and needed a second home closer to the airport. We bought this condo on beautiful Sail Bay and used it for 11 years before I retired from the airlines. I started renting it out as a vacation rental and now my "retirement" and first vacation rental has turned into a vacation rental business with 36 rentals, 10 of which are in this same fabulous building,Riviera Villas! This quiet upscale bay front area is the perfect convenient and scenic location for visiting San Diego!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
We love riding bikes on the boardwalk, walking to some of the great restaurants over on the ocean or the plethora of ethnic restaurants on Garnet Ave. We often stay in one of the condos we manage when we are attending plays or concerts in town. Best of all, we never tire of the changing bay view from the still, soft colors of early morning with the UCSD ladies rowing club practicing in their long outrigger canoes to the sail boat races in the afternoon to the brilliant sunsets in the evening and the paddle wheel boats all lit up at night cruising the bay. Shhhhh, don't tell anyone about this secret location, the best in San Diego!!!
With more than 100 million visitors since its opening on March 21, 1964, SeaWorld is San Diego’s #1 tourist attraction and one of the most popular marine parks in the world.f
The nation's largest urban cultural park. Home to 15 major museums, renowned performing arts venues, beautiful gardens and the San Diego Zoo, the Park has an ever-changing calendar of museum exhibitio

A three mile boardwalk for strolling or riding beach cruiser bikes provided free of charge to our guests. Lots of restaurants along the beach in this area, just a 10 minute walk.
A historic wooden pier that is a favorite amongst visitors and locals for stunning sunsets and photos.
Sail Bay is the western-most section of Mission Bay, a 4000 acre Aquatic Park, and there is a 4 mile boardwalk around this part of it for strolling, skating, or riding bikes.
A wonderful family playground right on the bay with clean restrooms, water fountains, showers, grassy areas, sand and lots of play equipment, slides, swings, etc.
The largest aquatic park in the United States with beaches for swimming, boating, and bon-fires.
The two best grocery stores in town. Henry's is like a Wild Oats or Whole Foods. Trader Joe's has interesting, delicious gourmet and ethnic food and inexpensive wine. Henry's is an organic foods store
Family entertainment area with rides range from a carousel to a hair raising roller-coaster. Eat lunch at The WaveHouse and watch surfers ride The Wave or go for a Swim at the Plunge, an Olympic-size
Catch the Bahia Bell paddle-wheel boat at the Catamaran dock and cruise around Mission Bay with live music...for the cost of a drink.

Just wanted to let you know that our stay at 709 Law Street over Thanksgiving weekend was perfect. We loved the location and the amenities at the place. Hanging out on the patio, walking down to watch the surfers and taking the bikes along the bike path to Belmont park were the best. It was a perfect fit for our family and we could even walk to our favorite seafood place (The Fishery) on Cass St. We definitely plan on staying again in the future.

Our week in San Diego was cloudy & dreary. Having a place to stay like Nancy's made the weather insignificant. The condo is comfortable with lots of room to spread out. Having the beach trail right outside the door was great for walks & bike rides. We relaxed more than he ever have on vacation, it was super. The staff was friendly & prompt to our requests. An excellent experience.

We rented the condo for one month. It was clean and exactly as viewed and described. We had some minor isues when we arrived and they were rectified immediately by Nancy and Jeremy. The location is superb. It is a quiet area but has ready access to the activity nearby at Pacific Beach. The bikes were great and we used them daily for touring, shopping or heading to the bars and restaurants on the beach. The condo could be improved by adding a more modern flat screen TV and long distance phone service. We would recommend the Riviera Condo to others.
Owner response:We have 7 of these 1-bdrm condos (and two 3-bdrms and one 2-bdrm) in the same building and all have flat screen TVs in both lvrm and bdrm and unlimited long distance except this one (Paul's) and I just sent him this comment and asked him to please upgrade his TVs and phone service. He said he would.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience! The place was spotless and the view was MAGNIFICENT! I couldn't even begin to tell you how much we enjoyed Jeff's condo! The pictures do not capture its beauty. It was so nice that instead of going out into town like we planned we stayed in both nights to enjoy the wonderful view. If you're looking for a party condo this is not it for you because it is a super quiet area and SOOOOO very relaxing!!! Thanks Nancy, for the wonderful deal and the experience of a lifetime. We already want to go back!

After an awful experience with another rental company in San Diego, we called Nancy. She was fantastic and sorted out all our problems straight away. We stayed at Joey's condo it was superb, beautiful view, clean and well equipped and had everything we needed. We would have no hesitation in recommending not only her rental but also her personally. Thank you Nancy.

We had a great time in San Diego. Paul's Condo was great. The location was perfect. I only used about 1/2 tank of gas for the week, everything was either close by or even walking distance. The only thing that we would suggest would be more beach towels available to guests. I wouldn't hesitate to use Nancy's Vacation Rentals in the future. Thanks again for helping make our vacation memorable.

We rent by owner all over the world and have been pleased with every experience. Joey's condo was one of the best. The location was perfect -- active yet quiet. And the place itself lived up to the Web site. Even better: When we alerted Nancy's that the cleaning service never arrived before we got there, her nephew Jeremy showed up a few minutes later to handle the job. A true service-oriented family business!

My husband and I recently stayed in Nancy's condo with our 2 small children (ages 8 mths and 2 1/2). The condo was very clean and I felt comfortable letting our baby crawl around the carpet (wouldn't have let him in a hotel!) Nancy had the condo well stocked with kitchen items, linens, anything extra that you need for a comfortable stay- the view of the bay was beautiful to wake up to! We would definately stay here again!
