Cozy Pinetop Country Club Cottage
Year Purchased: 2005
Why the Owner Chose Pinetop-Lakeside
We have been skiers since the 1970's, now our kids enjoy snowboarding and tubing in the snow in the winters at Sunrise Ski Park. We wanted to be as close as possible to the ski resort so we chose the location that we have. We also wanted to be close to forest so our location works perfectly. We can eat lunch on the back patio and have a perfect view of the forest beyond our backyard. In the summers we enjoy fishing and the closest lake is Woodland lake and is about a 15 minute drive from our house. In the National Forest to the east of the house are great hiking trails where we have seen wild turkey, deer and elk.
The Unique Benefits at this House
In winter, with a hiking permit from the Apache tribe, you can walk out the backdoor and snow cover allowing, cross country ski in the forest and meadows behind the house. About a half mile to the east is National forest where cross country skiing is done also. Hunting, fishing, hiking and quadding is also available in the National forest.
Lake Mountain has plenty of wild turkeys living there, a lake on top of the mountain and a look out tower for views at 8500 feet elevation!
Hon Dah has a casino and restaurant about 12 minutes from our place. Good luck at the tables!
Closest Reservation lakes to our place, be sure to stop at Hon Dah for your day fishing permits. Adults are 7.00 per day, not sure how much for juveniles.
Another good reservation lake for trout fishing. Fish by the wooden tee pee on the north side.
Three mountains of skiing, high speed quad and on the mountain restaraunts! Have fun!
At 8500 ft elevation, very cool even in the summer. Stop at the Rendezvous restaurant for a great dinner!
Movie theatre, restaurants, antique stores, movie rental store and more. Enjoy the quaint, small town atmosphere!
Owner's Map of Pinetop-Lakeside
Our family has been in Arizona for about 53 years, both my wife and I came here when very young with families who wanted to escape the midwest winters. We use our Pinetop house as a vacation getaway with our kids and their friends all year round. It is a great way to relax, unwind and enjoy cool weather, the forest and a much slower paced life than in Phoenix.

The house was absolutely more than we expected. It is remodeled with beautiful countertops, cabinets, and bathrooms. The decor was modern and the house was fully furnished with everything we could possibly think of! The pellet fireplace was cozy and the view of the backyard was gorgeous! I can't say enough what a great job Tim & Deanna did with the house to make it so inviting and cozy. We had a wonderful stay and recommend this place to anyone who wants a relaxing and prime location rental house. Thanks!

Our vacation was so relaxing! The house had everything we needed-TV, full kitchen, washer dryer and we were always comfortable. This is now our favorite place to stay in Pinetop...we visited the forest near the house and gambled at Hondah and shopped the antique stores downtown. The pellet stove worked wonderfully, we were all toasty warm at night! Thanks again!
