When we arrived at Villa San Miquel we found the house to be in excellent condition and as equipped as one can expect. The location was perfect for our needs, a week of golf, and the setting was very enjoyable. It was a pleasure dealing with the owner who was responsive to all our questions as was the management firm who maintains the house and was always reachable and helpful.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My wife and I came after Christmas and stayed all of January 2011. The home is very spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. The garage is loaded with beach chairs, bikes, that we rode often, some fishing gear, a couple of coolers for day trips to Sanibel (20 min away). I played golf at six of the area courses. All-in-all a great time.

We took a last minute vacation to cape coral and had a wonderful stay at this property. The owner was so helpful and let us check in on a very short notice. We had never been to this area so had no idea what to expect..we were so pleased that this home was all and more! We had such a wonderful time touring the islands and Cape Harbour, all within a short drive. The home was very clean and had everything set up! All you need is your food and clothes. We spent hours in the pool...which is private and sparkling clean. The hot tub was wonderful. The home was perfect for our dog also. Very quiet neighborhood. You also can dock your boat as you are on the canal. We enjoyed having our morning coffee on the patio and we could enjoy the fish jumping! Very excellent value! Our family have enjoyed 1 and 2 month vacations at Villa San Miguel for the past 4 years. The villa was in great condition, as shown in the listing and the owner was always ready to meet our concerns. The owner also made sure that each year there was a new update to the property. We would recommend this villa to everyone.

Nice Home, A few problems with the rental.

THE GOOD: Overall the home is very nice. Plenty of room for a large family, nice carpeted living area and nice master suite with jacuzzi tub. THE BAD: While I was in the property an "odor" was coming from the garage which filled the house. A few calls to the management company eventually corrected the problem. Also, for some mysterious reason the spa emptied itself over night on the 3rd or 4th night of my stay and was not filled for the remainder of my 2 weeks stay despite repeated calls to the management company. THE UGLY: I was not returned my full deposit as it was claimed by the cleaning crew that my dog had soiled the carpets. With no real way to prove otherwise (despite the fact that he is house trained and no problems were pointed out to me on checkout) I eventually accepted despite the problems I had. I personally would not stay here again, but your family may find enjoyment with this home.
Owner response:This is the first time in five years of renting this home that a renter was not returned the full security deposit.. He was advised ahead of time that there was no additional charge for his dog, but that there might be an additional cleaning fee should there be any issues. The cleaning crew reported that the carpets were soiled in several places and that these spots were fresh and had not been there previously. The extra cleaning fees weer taken out of the security deposit with the remainder returned to the renter
