I found this condo rental experience to be excellent. We had a wonderful, relaxing time for 8 days, and felt we were at the beach either inside or out. The view outside and the decor inside makes it feel "beachy" all the time. The Plantation offers amenities for everyone to enjoy. The condo is well stocked and comfortable. We will definitely return.

Wonderful Refuge of Rest & Relaxation

Our family and I stayed 4 days and did not want to leave! This is one of the most immaculate and comfortable condos on the Plantation. The listing was accurate and the photos truly do reflect what you see. It was truly my standard for home away from home. I've stayed at other VRBO's and had to come in and tidy up quite a bit and even with my own linens it was still uncomfortable. Not here! You truly felt pampered in this condo. It was so relaxing and inviting. Not noisy and the security made you feel safe and welcome. The beaches and all the amenities at the Plantation were great! The pools were immaculate! We appreciate the owners, they were available and prompt to reply to all inquiries and they were most hospitable. Great southern comfort!! We will return!

Impossible to communicate with owners

These people wouldn't return any of my calls to book the condo. I was finally able to reserve the unit via email, and waiting days in between responses. Then the same thing happened when I called a few days prior to arriving to get check in/out instructioins. The condo was incredibly small, and packed full of decor, to the point where you could almost not walk. It did appear to be clean, and the balcony view was as described. I left the condo on August 14th,and yesterday, September 16th, I finally received my security deposit return in the mail. Tried calling a few times after 2 weeks to check on the status (since it is supposed to be returned in 5 days). Couldn't get an answer, so tried email. He said he misplaced my address. 2 more weeks went by, and I tried emailing (by this time I figured out that the phone just doesn't work for them). Couldn't even get a response to my email this time. Tried calling again, and finally the check showed up in the mail. It's not that difficult to answer a phone, horrible experience. Felt like I was trying to pull teeth.

My family loved the Plantation! The community was extremely family friendly with lots of activites to keep the kids active. The condo was exactly like it was pictured. The location could not have been better for my energetic kids. The mornings and evenings that we spent on the balcony were everything that we needed for a peaceful retreat. What a wonderful view! We are already looking forward to next year! Thank you Maurice and Dene for sharing your "Peace of Heaven"

Perfect little getaway

My husband and I stayed with our 13-month-old in this adorable condo during Spring Break. It was our first trip to the Alabama coast, so we knew nothing about the area OR this condo complex, but we found Maurice to be so delightful that we took our chances and booked it. We are SO happy that we did! First of all, the complex is located several miles outside of Gulf Shores, so it was not at all busy or touristy, even though it was the busy season. The condo itself has a beautiful, unspoiled view of the ocean from the balcony-- it is situated at the very end of the building that peers directly to the ocean. It seemed that most of the other condos overlooked the parking lot, so this unit was definitely situated well within the complex. The pool and the walkway to the ocean were just outside the building, so the walk couldn't have been much shorter. The condo was tastefully decorated and had all the amenities we needed, such as dishes and cooking supplies. There is no washer and dryer within the unit, but the condo sits right across the hall from the public laundry room, which appeared to be very infrequently used. This condo was perfect for a couple with (or without) a small child or two and we look forward to visiting it again! Thank you, Maurice, for your warm hospitality!

GREAT, RELAXING VACATION

We have stayed here several times and have always enjoyed the stay. Maurice and Dene did a great job decorating the condo and it is always clean and tidy. The ocean front view is amazing and will return here for our future visits. Highly recommend.
