Dave and I are married and live in Downtown Coeur d'Alene. Dave is a local business owner and I work in communications. We love walking our yorkie around town and playing on our boat in the summer. We are expecting our first child in June!
Why the Owner Chose Coeur d'Alene
My husband and I fell in love with downtown Coeur d'Alene after visiting here in 2004. We loved the Garden District neighborhood and being able to walk downtown and to the lake.
We purchased our first vacation rental as our personal vacation home in 2005. In 2007 we retired our first rental and made it our permanent residence! We then purchased two additional vacation rental properties both within walking distance from our home.
The Unique Benefits of this House
When we purchased this property it had not been updated since the 70's! We had a great time updating everything in the house - from the flooring to the light fixtures - the entire house is essentially brand new. It's in a great location on 7th with Sherman (the main street) only 4 blocks south. Since we live and work just a few blocks away from all of our rentals, if our renters do encounter a problem we can be easily reached.

We spent a week at this vacation property and had a wonderful time. This house is located in a beautiful area. We took lots of walks around the neighborhood and it really is a short distance to parks for the kids or Sherman Ave. The house is beautiful and was very clean. The upgrades were all nice and the photos accurately reflect the rental property's appearance. Communication with the owner was very good. They responded quickly and provided all necessary information. Some highlights of the property were the kitchen, large bedrooms, front porch, big back yard and the TV was a great size and had lots of cable channels. The one thing that we were disappointed in was the air conditioning, or lack of it. It was the beginning of August and VERY hot every day. There was one window unit, but it was old and didn't work very well. If you are staying in the summer, bring fans! Other than that concern, our trip was amazing and we were overall very impressed with this property. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.
