Drift Boat Cottage is a newly renovated two-bedroom house with 150 feet of direct riverfront on a quiet residential street in the well-kept village of Narrowsburg. The bright, sunny house has one bath, an eat-in kitchen, a spacious living room and two bedrooms, one with a Queen-size bed and the other with a twin bed and trundle bed that pulls out from under the twin. The patio has a lovely table and chairs and a barbecue for relaxed enjoyment and entertaining, with chairs strewn across the lawn to take advantage of the spectacular river views. Just half a block away is a small park with playground equipment and playing fields. Washer and dryer are in the basement.
Narrowsburg is a two-hour drive from the George Washington Bridge (traffic permitting). It is 15 miles to Honesdale, PA; 25 miles to Monticello, NY; 34 miles to Port Jervis, NY; and 55 miles to Middletown, NY.
Just a short walk through a quiet, riverside, neighborhood to Narrowsburg’s charming Main Street, with its antiques stores, destination restaurants, coffee store, art galleries and high-end retail. Grocery store, pizza restaurant, library and more are all less than a mile away.
Narrowsburg, a two-hour drive from the GWB (when traffic permits), is the home of the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, and there are numerous arts events in town and in nearby locations throughout the year. Jazz and opera performances take place all summer at a theater just a short walk from the house. It is just 15 minutes to the newly constructed Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, on the site of the original Woodstock festival, which hosts rock, jazz and classical concerts as well as other events. The museum commemorating the festival and the culture of the 60s is just newly opened.
Narrowsburg is in Upper Delaware River National and Scenic Recreational River corridor, which offers recreational opportunities like swimming, canoeing, river rafting, tubing, hiking, etc. A public boat launch is just across the bridge from downtown. A canoe and river raft rental outfit is just a short walk from the house.
