Visit Pier Park, this new shopping complex opened the beginning of 2008. Pier Park offers “a casual day at the beach..Southern Style”. It boasts a 16 screen state of the art movie theatre and a collection of themed restaurants such as Jimmy Buffet’s Margaretville & Five Guys Famous Hamburgers & Fries. You will enjoy shopping at all of the fashionable retail shops as well as one of their anchor stores, Dillard's.
Visit Shipwreck Island, they have been entertaining families for over 25 years in Panama City Beach, Florida.

• Ocean Motion Wave Pool is a 500,000-gallon pool that generates three foot waves every ten minutes. These waves contain cool clear water without any creatures that may lurk in the ocean.
• White Knuckle River is a 660-foot long twisting, winding inner tube ride that features tubes large enough for the entire family to splash down in.
• The Rapid River Run is over 300 feet of white water inner tube rafting. “The Rapids,” as they are affectionately known by so many guests, gives riders one of the best white water tubing slides you’ll find anywhere. The 50-foot splash down is a breath-taking finale.

Okay apartment, lousy condo association

Do not be mislead by the description of a "wrap-around" balcony. The balcony in front of the master bedroom is about 18" wide were it connects to the side balcony. It is about 3' at its widest. And the windows in the master bedroom don't open, so squeezing through from the side is the only way to access it. The apartment was very clean, except for the jetted tub. I had to scrub tar out it before it could be used. Other than that, we liked the apartment itself very much. However, the building itself is run by a very conservative condo association, which thinks people having a good time is offensive. Instead of just banning glass containers, and food and drink in the pool, guests aren't allowed to sit at the side of the pool with so much as a soda in their hands. Every child we saw in the pool got tossed out for one reason or another, with the employee apologizing by saying it wasn't his decision, but the condo association. And the pool is too small for the size of the building. The garage access code was changed without warning around noon on our third day there. Everyone had to park elsewhere and walk in to the lobby to find out what was wrong, and receive the new code. No explanation was ever given for the change, and the code remained the same for the rest of the week. Finally, the charcoal grill is located in the dog walk. What a treat. We won't be back, and we will warn everyone we know against this place.
