This is a wonderful place in which to stay. The listing info was absolutely accurate - perfect central location on a beautiful quiet street, unit well-stocked in every way, spotless, with very friendly, helpful owners upstairs. We stayed in May 2010 with our 15 month-old toddler. The studio apartment was great, the owners have some kid stuff we borrowed for backyard play. The front door is less than 25 yards from Duboce Park and a very nice playground. The place was immaculate and all the fixtures new, hip and sparkled clean. Great little backyard for lounging.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We stayed here with our 6 month old twins for 8 nights. We felt completely at home. Wonderful location, place, and hosts. An oasis in busy SF and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We would recommend this apartment (with a zen-like garden) to anyone. It was great to have the fully fitted kitchen especially with the babies.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children.

My husband and I (and our 4 month old daughter) stayed here for about 4 days. The location is perfect-- a cul-de-sac just a few doors down from a pleasant neighborhood park. Who would expect a place in the middle of the city to be quiet? The apartment is a pleasant size- small, but not cramped. Having the mostly-private backyard was a bonus, as well. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking, the coffee is excellent, and the owners let us borrow a travel co-sleeper and a baby bath. The only thing to keep in mind is that there is not a separate bedroom for the baby to sleep in while we watch tv or read at nite. It really wasn't a problem for us-- we wore her out during the day! We would most definitely stay here again, we absolutely loved it. Thanks!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

The Christmas holidays in this apartment and area was outstanding! We have stayed in many apartments in the city and this was by far the best, the location was amazing and we have vowed to return! By stepping just a few minutes outside buzz of the city we found a gorgeous, characterful slice of the San Francisco life!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We fell in love with San Francisco and our "home away from home." We truly couldn't have asked for anything more from our two month stay in the city. The location was ideal - steps away from train and bus lines, close to the Castro, Mission, and countless incredible restaurants. Holly and David are the most generous, helpful owners and all the neighbors are incredibly friendly. The unit was perfectly equipped with everything we needed and access to the garden and BBQ was an added bonus! We look forward to our next visit and wouldn't stay anywhere else. Thanks for everything!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

I cannot say enough about this place! We have been here for 5 nights, and don't want to leave, it feels so much like home. Quiet, beautifully done, with lovely living/bedroom and separate dining area (both open through sliding doors to garden), perfect kitchen, and the bathroom fixtures are nicer than mine at home! And so well-located. We've been to Chinatown, North Beach, the Castro, the Mission, Noe Valley, the Haight--all within easy distance or a good walk or public transit. Great owners live right upstairs in case there are any problems (there wasn't a single one), or if you need advice. We will stay here whenever we come to SF!Did you find this review helpful? Comment Text: Being former natives, whose families live in SF and the Bay Area, staying in such a great apartment over the holidays made us feel right at home and wanting to move back! The apartment was perfect in every way, well appointed, in a great location and with great hosts, The Coleman's. It'll be first on our list for future visits to our beloved SF!
