We were a group of 3 generations and greatly enjoyed our stay at this well equipped cottage. We were very pleased with the kitchen, bedrooms, etc. We were terrified of the drive from Kelowna to La Casa but found the drive from Vernon to La Casa much better. Being from the prairies the narrow, winding mountain roads were a challenge. Also, we arrived Oct. 6 and all amenities at the resort were closed which was a big disappointment as we had been told some of them would be open until Thanksgiving. We enjoyed hiking at the nearby Fintry Park and the extreme quiet of La Casa. Overall a great stay!

Fantastic Girls' Trip
Fantastic Girls' Trip
We rented this property for a girls' trip, it was a fantastic choice and the owners were great to deal with. There are a number of amazing wineries close by, perfect for picking up a few bottles to sip on the deck enjoying the view. The home is very well equipped and the resort has many amenities. Be prepared that the resort is a bit of a drive from Kelowna and to watch for wildlife if driving in at night.

Best Location in Kelowna!!
Best Location in Kelowna!!
We rented this cabin over the internet without ever having been to Kelowna (or BC for that matter!!) But after driving all around the lake and the area we feel like we really got the best location! La Casa really has it all: we spent a lot of time at the pool, barbecuing while the kids swam, we played mini-golf, we even swam in the lake, cold but doable! We brought a blow-up boat for the kids and they had a great time paddling to the water trampoline and back! As for the cabin, it is beautifully furnished and has everything you would need to stay over. It is a short walk to the beach where we also built a fire and roasted marshmallows. Thanks to an earlier review, we knew to bring water shoes-this helped a lot, and also to stock up on groceries as La Casa is 17 km from West Kelowna. We stayed in late June and we were really happy that the resort wasn't super crowded. Everyone told us that in July and August there are a lot more people. Hope this helps!!

This cottage is very nice and has great views! Be sure to stock up on groceries and snacks before coming here though as the general store onsite doesnt offer much. The cottage has everything you would need to cook / eat with, just need to bring the food and wine! This was our first time booking off of VRBO and wasn't sure what to expect but David made it simple and explained everything.

This is a very nice property with a fantastic view. Close to the beach and Marina. Decks on both the front and back of this property allow you to soak up the sun no matter time of the day. Our only grievance is that items such as miniature golf or tennis that were to be included in the resort, do in fact, cost you a fee of $23 a day or $100 a week UNLESS you have your own tennis rackets or putters for the miniature golf. You also have to supply your own wood for the firepits. The water trampolines were fun for the kids and they enjoyed them. There is no beach, there is a "beach" area to sit, however, there isn't sand to play in and you can't walk out into the water like you would expect from a lake. The rocks in the water are very sharp so would recommend water shoes for kids. The road to this resort is very narrow and winding, but well worth the drive. If you are staying for a week, would recommend renting a golf cart. The cost is $79 a day or $340 (approx) for the week. Well worth the cost as you will use the cart to get around this resort. We will definitely be coming back next year!!

Owner response: Thank you for the kind review! At one point we did have tennis rackets and some putters for the golf, but they never last long ending up broken or missing. Feel free to bring your own rackets and putters and then it is totally free or alternatively, you can rent them at the resort. $100/week or $23/day which covers your entire family for unlimited use - it also includes the kayaks.
