1927 Lakefront Home with 500 ft of water frontage on 2 acre lot at the end of a deadend dirt road. This is the original Breck Family House on Breck Shores on the southern shores of Lake Winnisquam. PRIVATE small flat walk-out sandy beach on the property ( no steep stairs or walkways from the beach like many lake homes). Two docks.
CLOSER than any Lakes Region destination from points south. 8 MINUTES FROM RT 93-EXIT 20. NO traffic jams or long rides on one lane highways to get there!! (I commuted from here to the Boston area for years)
NOTE---THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL APARTMENT for rent also that changes the bed space from 8 to 11. So if you have larger parties both sides can be rented. The newer apartment backs up to the old house, but there is total privacy AND PORCHES/PATIOS for both sides. Note--if you rent ONLY the old house, no one will be in the apartment side (except my adult children or me, to attend to the property)

INFORMATION ABOUT THE OLD MAIN HOUSE: Large living room with fireplace, lots of windows, and glass doors onto the porch. Separate dining room also has windows and glass doors onto the porch. Separate kitchen with windows looking over water. Three second floor bedrooms—sleeps six very comfortably. All rooms have great views. All bedrooms have new painting. All wood floors in living areas, bathroom, and bedrooms.
The 30 foot screened porch is ten feet from the water, with BOTH sunset and sunrise views! The porch includes a dining area, sleeping glider and plenty of rockers and chairs for get-togethers.
We are in a quiet seasonal neighborhood. Although when you are here you feel you are far from everything, the house is just minutes to fantastic shopping and restaurants in Tilton and Laconia and beyond. Weirs beach is about 20 minutes away. You can also get to Boston in about 1 1/2 hours.
In the Autumn, there are many wonderful New England activities and events going on. In the Winter, you can get to multiple small and large ski areas.
The private beach is at the western end of the property---gorgeous sunsets. Outdoor furniture and a grill are available at the beach. Two kayaks, 2 canoes rafts and a motorized paddle boat are available for your use. Boat launch is right across the lake and you may park a boat at the dock during your stay. Boat and jetski rentals are just minutes away by car.

Owner Description
I raised my kids on this lake! For many years we were only here in summers, but then it became my year round home. For years I was working in the high technology field, usually in the greater Boston area...but this special home was so special that I still commuted on a regular basis. Given the location is the most southern point in the Lakes Region (exit 20), it was easier than most people thought. It was worth the travel to be able to wake up and go to sleep on the lake!
Why the Owner Chose Winnisquam Lake
I love this house on Lake Winnisquam. We rented the house for a few years when the kids were very young, and just "had" to have it, when the previous owner was selling. The house in on "Breck Shore", and was the home of one of the original Breck families. I am only the third owner since 1927. With protective forestry trust land all around, there is no chance that the pristine environment of Breck Shore will ever change.
The Unique Benefits of this House
I have felt a spiritual connection to this house and the land. Everyone who visits feels the "instant calm". Given that there are two distinct waterfront areas on the property--one is just a few steps from the 30ft screened porch, and one area has a totally different view, sandy beach and two docks. You won't find another area like this!
