Cozy cabin

My husband and I spent 3 nights at "Sweet Retreat" and we were very impressed with the coziness and cleanliness of the cabin. Patty was wonderful to work with. The only slight disappointment I had was the neighbors were a little too close for our "liking", but once inside the cabin you completely forgot that you weren't secluded in the woods far away from anyone else. The cabin is approximately a 10 minute drive into to Helen. I have to recommend a trip to Anna Ruby Falls for anyone whose looking for a great/easy hike with a beautful waterfull. Thank you for the use of your cabin Patty!!!!

I would give this a horrible review just so no one else would go there.... but i can't. My wife and i had an amazing time at this cabin! The location is wonderful! We will definitely be coming back to this "Sweet Retreat !"

Relaxing Vacation

My husband and I stayed during our Christmas break and it was wonderful! The cabin was beautiful and very clean. We loved how much room it had. It was a great get-a-way for us and was close enough to the town but far enough to feel secluded and private as well. We will be back! Thank you Patty!

My husband and I took our three children ages 9, 15 and 18 to this cabin for Thanksgiving. We greatly enjoyed our visit. We were able to enjoy lots of quality family time. We relaxed in the hot tub, plays several games of pool and enjoyed the view on the back deck. Lots of squirrels and several deer. Thank you very much.

Wonderful mini vacation

We just spent two wonderful days at the cabin for our 5th wedding anniversary. It was such a cozy, comfortable home away from home. The decor was in keeping with a mountain cabin, which I've found is not always the case in a vacation home. The owners have done a wonderful job of making everything comfortable, right down to the TV above the fireplace...which by the way...we found to have plenty of channels! It was very CLEAN and well maintained. When we had an issue trying to light the gas fireplace, Patty had someone there in 20 minutes to assist! We thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Smithgall Forest, which we had never been to before and just happened to come upon on our way to one of the state parks. I would not highly recommend the town of Helen as it is extremely tacky and touristy, but the Sautee Nacoochee area is great for shopping. The Red Door is a great shop and there is a really interesting working mill that still grounds corn and sells the products located right across the street in that area. Oh.....and no critters in sight at the cabin!

Oktoberfest Getaway.......Perfect!!!!

This was the most perfect weekend that we could have asked for thanks to the coziest little cabin. My husband and I had never taken a mountain getaway together before and I'm glad we chose the sweet retreat. The cabin was decorated just as we would do our own and had everything that we needed. The mountain views and colorful trees were amazing. We did some shopping in downtown Helen which was very close and visited the beautiful Anna Ruby Falls. We enjoyed this cabin so much that it gave us the idea of being able to have something like this, but until then we will continue to return to "sweet retreat."

We went to this cabin for a weekend getaway and was very impressed! It was better than the pictures. A lot of thought went into the decoration of the place and it had lots of comfy extras like extra blankets, pillows, etc. It was a beautiful setting, especially in the fall. I was expecting scorpions at the very least, but saw no pests of any kind surprisingly! The hot tub was wonderful and we really hated to leave. The cabin was very clean and I will definitely be going back! The only problem I had was the driveways off the road - I pulled into the wrong one at first! Thank you so much for a much needed weekend in the mountains!

Our family enjoyed staying at this cabin! It was a much needed getaway for us, and we will never forget it, and would love to come back every year! The kids had a blast and my husband and I really connected. The cabin is beautifully decorated, you can tell alot of love went into preparing it. The view is great and it is close enough to tourists spots but secluded enough for privacy. There was plenty of room for my family of 4, and had all the neccessites we needed. We relaxed in the jacuzzi and had fun playing pool. I cant tell you how much it meant to us to be able to spend some good quality time together as a family! Thank you so much! The Beverly's

What a wonderful place to spend a few days! The cabin was absolutely perfect for us for the "mini vacation" we desired! It felt like an absolute luxury with it's comfortable beds, entertainment (pool table) and stunning views! The cabin itself is beautifully decorated and spotless in cleanliness. Helen was a only a few short minutes down the road so we were able to enjoy activities there and a day in Dalhonega as well! Thank you again for allowing us to stay here. It truly was a "Sweet Retreat"! Looking forward to a return visit and stay in the near future.

Great get-away...

My husband I visited the "Sweet Retreat" cabin the week of July 18 and it was wonderful. The pictures do not do it justice. It is very new and clean and well stocked. The one thing that I did not pack and was not provided was a hair dryer! We will definitely be back soon. Great cabin in the treetops. The sweet retreat was amazing. Very clean, well stocked kitchen, porch upstairs was a wonderful place to greet the morning. It was just what I wanted, a place to disconnect from the business of life and be quiet. And when it storms being a the treetop level was wild. Easy to get to the surrounding attractions, hikes, lakes waterfalls, rivers and good places to eat out after being outdoors, or the kitchen made cooking easy also. Thanks so much. We will come again.

"Sweet Retreat" - so appropriately named!!

"Sweet Retreat" is just what we wanted for our honeymoon. The privacy and tranquility of it all provided much comfort and relaxation! The location is perfect with easy access to major highways and many local attractions if so desired. Unfortunately the photos do not justify the extremely peaceful welcome felt immediately when walking through the front door! The cabin has tasteful decor and is very well kept and clean just as if it was new. It is appropriately adequate to include our teenage children for a visit - if they are lucky; separate sleeping areas with the televisions, pool table and hot tub are for sure something they would enjoy! Thanks so much for a fabulous 4-night paradise! We will definitely revisit often for some R&R!!! I would love to be there during one of the beautiful north Georgia snows and enjoy the view of Mt. Yonah!

Perfect getaway!

This was a perfectly secluded getaway! I stayed their with my 2 teenage kids and my oldest daughter, it was a perfect place to stay. Everything was there and it was so close to everything yet seemed so far away. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool table and hot tub as well as the peace and quiet. We definitely reccommend tubing in Helen (but you should do it on a weekday if you can), and Anna Ruby Falls has some beautiful scenery. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful cabin!

The house is just like stated. We had fun playing pool. The King size bed downstairs is very comfy. House was fully stocked and very nicely decorated. (LOVED the doggie holding the toilet paper upstairs, sooo cute). Thanks for an affordable getaway.

Our stay at the Sweet Retreat was so wonderful we did not want to go home. It was very easy to get to from South Georgia, The cabin was wonderfully decorated as if I did it myself. It was very homey and cozy, all of the amenities were perfect. All we needed to bring was ourselves and food. There was plenty to do with the board games, pool table, dvd and the hot tub provided. We also brought our 1 year old daughter who was very safe and excited about her new surroundings. We did not go out but there were several brochures for you to review. I would like to go back at least once a month for all the peace it gives. Thank you very much Ms. Patty for all your help and for sharing your beautiful cabin property.

we got here at 4:00 pm and by 5:00, we had 4" of snow! The view of the mountains covered with snow was breathtaking!....We mostly stayed in the cabin and enjoyed the hot tub, pool table and fireplace! This cabin was perfect for me and my husband! The pictures of this cabin on VRBO does not do this place justice!.....We had a great valentine weekend!

We came up from Lakeland Fla for a short vacation (4 days, 3 nights). The cabin was great. We enjoyed the pool table and hot tub. We spent time in Helen, Dahlonega, Satuee and Tallulah Falls. The cabin was located close enough to all these locations but still seemed secluded as well. We will come back again for sure. ps: Enjoyed the picnic set, used it on multiple trips.(:

My husband and I are visiting from Orlando. The weather has been perfect. September seems like a great time to visit. We planned this trip to attend Octoberfest in Helen, but we loved the cabin so much that we spent less time in Helen and more evenings here. It is so peaceful to sit on the balconies. This house is so beautiful and has a great set up. It is furnished with everything we need. We will definitely return.
