A wonderful, well-appointed vacation cottage in the heart of downtown Bend. We have made the Aspen Cottage a place of sheer comfort for our guests as we would entertaining our family and friends in our own home. Our cottage guests come back often, bringing more friends to share in a memorable vacation.
From the cottage, a quick five-minute walk will take you to Drake Park and all of the downtown restaurants, shops and galleries. We are two block off of Galveston Ave on the corner of NW Elgin Ave and 12th Street. Just walk 5-6 blocks and then cross the walking bridge over Mirror Pond (Deschutes River) to bring you into downtown Bend.
We are also only a 5 minute walk to the Old Mill Shopping District with more shops like REI, The Gap, Chico's, Pac-Sun; restaurants like Red Robin and Anthony's Home Port and movie theaters.
On Galveston Avenue within a few blocks from our place, you will find and several restaurants and coffee shops. Also, find great sources for equipment and gear rental (e.g. bikes and skis), movie rentals.

We were scrambling at the last minute for a place for four guys to stay on a golf getaway. We found this house with the 4 days we needed open. The owner/manager was great to work with and everything was as advertised! The house is centrally located in the heart of Bend. It is walking distance to the most popular tourist parts of town - Old Town, the Mill District, Drake Park, etc. The house is clean & well equipped. The third bedroom with twin beds made it perfect for our group. I would recommend this house for any small group or family excursion! We hope to get back and stay again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

The home is in a great location, you are only two blocks away from 10 Barrels and Brother Johns. Two premier bars/restaurants favorable of anyone spending a day at MT Bachelor. A quick scenic 10 min walk and you are anywhere you want to be in Bend. The closeness to Bend means you don't have to find a parking spot, which I was told becomes a task at times. The house itself is very homey, the full kitchen and family room will give you and your party a great place to hang out, cook, and dine with more than enough space for everyone. The bedrooms were perfectly sized as well, and all the beds were extremely comfy. The hot tub in all of its wonders is the icing on the cake. It is evident that this house is well loved and has been taken care of. The ease of securing this property for a week made everything better. The administration behind renting this property was taken care of just as well as the house itself. Incredible flexible reliable and honest!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

My husband and I plus another couple enjoyed a 3 day weekend at Aspen House. Great location - nice walk to downtown Bend. The hot tub was great after long days of skiing and in the winter the garage was a plus. If you have kids there is a 3rd room with twin beds.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

We've been renting in Bend and Sunriver for years and this is the best place we've stayed. Everything in the house is new, clean and so comfortable. Balance of comfort & decor is just right. Loved the fenced yard for our small children and dog - could cook or read inside while hearing them play safely outside. But 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths would also work great for 2-3 couples. Great location just blocks from Columbia Park (aka Pirate Park) and river. Walk to downtown really is just 10 minutes. Owners are local and super quick to respond with assistance. Only caveat are some loud evenings, especially Fri/Sat, with patrons enjoying 10 Barrel Brewing just a block away. But not annoying enough to skip renting this great home again in the future.Recommended for: Pet owners, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.
