December visit

Guest: Mary and Ron (Elkhart, IN)
Date of Stay: 12/02/11 Review Submitted: 12/12/11

The property was large, sunny and very pleasant! The location was absolutely perfect for wine tasting at the local vineyards and visiting the area antinque shops and restaurants. We drove to the beach at the end of the road and had a nice walk along the shoreline; lucky for us December 2 felt like fall. I did wake twice during the night when trains passed by; they were short, and I fell quickly back to sleep. We'd love to come back in the summer and enjoy the outdoor patio and grill. I would highly recommend the property!

Great fall getaway

We had a great stay here for a party of 4 adults, 2 little kids, and 2 dogs. It was spacious and a good layout that allowed everyone to hang out together easily but also made it easy to get some privacy when it was time for kids' naps, etc. Booking was very easy and the location is very nice. It was quiet and peaceful. The proximity to the playground and dog park was especially handy for our group, and we went there every day of our stay.

Great location, lots to do

Guest: LovesTheLake (California)
Date of Stay: 07/31/11 Review Submitted: 08/06/11

This condo was very light and roomy, clean, and nicely furnished and decorated. There are many art galleries, restaurants, and wineries within a 15 - 20 minute drive; some are walking distance. We particularly enjoyed the market in Sawyer, the Center of the World store which features gorgeous hand-crafted furniture, Casey's restaurant in New Buffalo, and Season's Harvest, which sells sauces (bbq, pasta, dessert) and salsas. Each of the little towns nearby has a small public beach, but the Harbert beach was our favorite. My husband recommends the Whittaker Woods golf course. One caveat: If you have trouble sleeping, you may be bothered by the trains. The condo is very close to the tracks, and there is a train at night. I slept through it, but others in our group could not.

Great place to stay!

Guest: Ali (IL)
Date of Stay: 06/17/11 Review Submitted: 07/13/11

Recently in June I stayed at the Loft with my boyfriend, sister and brother in law. It was a great location for the festival we were going to and turned out to be the perfect size for all of us! We were able to relax and not be cramped, cook, and probably the best part was I got to bring our dog who had recent surgery! The space was very clean and well maintained, and had everything that we needed right there, including a nice outdoor space that was fenced we could all enjoy! We even got to know the neighbors that were also renting, it was great! It ended up that my boyfriend and I actually got engaged that weekend, so it made it even more of a special place! We will return!

Great shape, Fine location

Just the two of us for a brief weekend getaway. Utilized only the master suite, but the two other bedrooms seemed very nice as well. We much enjoyed dinner at the adjacent restaurant as well as breakfast at the cafe across the road. Beaches a few minutes away offered great sand and sunsets. Communication with owner was swift and simple. The condo is exceedingly spacious, modern and clean. We were glad to have found it on VRBO.

Perfect spot for a girls weekend away!

Guest: Natalie (Western Suburb of Chicago )
Date of Stay: 06/24/11 Review Submitted: 06/30/11

I was looking for a place to host a friend’s bachelorette weekend that was not too far from Chicago and the western/northwestern suburbs. This was the prefect spot! It’s an easy drive from Chicago and just a great location - close to the beach, great restaurants, many wineries and even a casino. The loft itself was beautiful, the photos do not even begin to show how charming and comfortable it is. There were seven of us girls there for the weekend and we all fell in love with the place. It is full of open bright spaces and plenty of room for everyone. Whether sitting around the island in the kitchen, the fireplace in the living room or enjoying the fresh air on the front and back patios we felt comfortable and at home. We would all definitely come back again and again!!

Wonderful

Guest: Very happy (Wheaton, Il)
Date of Stay: 05/22/11 Review Submitted: 06/23/11

We rented this property for a week and it was everything we expected and more. Our party consisted of my husband and I, a 3 year old, a 1 year old and Grand parents. The property was big enough that we didn't get in each others way while enjoying all being together. It was only a couple of miles from the Warren Dunes and there was even a local beach and that we walked to and enjoyed. We particularly liked the fact that the property had all the little incidentals we needed but didn't want to buy like dish soap, laundry detergent, cooking oils, and even an array of spices. It also had an array of books, games and toys for those rainy/lazy days. There were a couple of eateries and a great park all within walking distance. The owner was there when we arrived and was always available to answer questions (not that we had many) We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property. A+
