Located 120 yards from the best beach on Hilton Head Island, this four bedroom, three bath home is in the quiet South Forest Beach area, yet is only minutes from golf, tennis, shopping, and restaurants. Biking around Hilton Head is enjoyable on the nearby bike paths.
The White House is one of the few Hilton Head beach properties that is all on the ground floor, so there are no steps to climb. Enter through a trellised walkway and enjoy the decor of rich colors, textures, and fabrics along with the spacious vaulted ceilings in the family room, kitchen, and dining areas. The tiled floors, and granite bathroom counters combine to add a touch of elegance to the tropical decor.
Each bedroom has two six-foot windows and there are three sets of six foot sliding glass doors opening onto the 28 foot long pool, creating a light filled retreat. After returning from the beach enjoy the private outdoor shower. The master bedroom has a king-size, bamboo canopy bed, TV/VCR, and a private bath.
The second bedroom has a queen-size bed, a private bath, and a sliding door that opens onto the pool. The third bedroom has a queen-size bed and a shared bathroom that is handicap accessible. The fourth bedroom is a "bunk room" having two sets of bunk beds a sleeper sofa and a TV/VCR, toys, games, and puzzles.
The living area overlooks the pool and has a large sofa and five armchairs, as well as an entertainment center with TV/VCR/DVD and a stereo with CD player and radio. Adjacent to this living area is a dining table with seating for ten and a view to the pool as well. There is additional seating for six on bar stools at the kitchen island countertop. The kitchen has two refrigerators with icemakers, tiled countertops, and is fully-equipped.

WE HAVE STAYED AT THE WHITE HOUSE FOR THE PAST SEVERAL YEARS AND LOVE IT. OUR GRAND CHILDREN DOSEN'T WANT TO STAY ANYWHERE ELSE.IT IS THE PERFECT LOCATION. IT IS ONLY A SHORT WALK TO THE BEACH WITH NO STREETS TO CROSS. WE ENJOY WALKING TO CHURCH WHICH IS LOCATED JUST ACROSS THE ST. IT IS SO NICE TO RELAX BY THE POOL AND LISTEN TO THE CHURCH CHIMES.

I stayed at The White House with six of my high school friends. It is such a perfect place in a perfect location. The shopping, restaurants and especially the beach were wonderful. This is our second time staying here and it never disappoints. We all had a GREAT time. It was immaculate when we arrived and there were plenty of linens for all of us. Thank you so much for allowing us the privilege of staying here.

My husband and I stayed in the white house this summer for our May wedding! The house was amazing it was literally right down the street from the beach that we actually got married on. When we vacation the most important part of our vacation is the proximity from the beach! There was never a time that we couldn't find something that we needed. The house is perfect for entertaining, we had a dinner the night before all our guests left HHI, the open floor plan was great for all the people we had in the house. We actually rented the house for us and our bridal party it was worked out great for the number of people that we had staying with us. We never felt like we were living on top of each other. The pool was great also, we spent most of our week relaxing by the pool. If you are looking for a great house to stay in with a group of people, this house is the house for you!

Great location; just a short walk to the beach. Nice open kitchen, 2 fridges and open layout. House could use a good cleaning though. Owners easy to work with.

We've been visiting Hilton Head for 20 years, but only found The White House in 2009. Now we're too spoiled to stay anywhere else! This home is so cool, comfortable, spacious, conveniently-located and pet/family friendly - it's just perfect. Little things really make the difference: 2 refrigerators, the walk-in shower you can access from outside is nice for hosing down my lab after playing on the beach, wireless internet, comfy family areas & a super one-level floor plan = no steps, high ceilings, lots of cable TVs for Braves games, the pool, the uncrowded stretch of beach just 100 yards walk, fenced dog run in the back, a separate laundry room, one mile to Coligny, the sound of the church bells all day Sunday, an awesome central AC system, good lighting... I could go on :-) The house is very clean & well maintained, and both the owners and the management company are first-rate, helpful and quick to address questions or requests. Let's just say that our family group - 6 teens, 3 adults, 2 dachshunds and 1 yellow lab - are having a blast on Hilton Head this week and lucky to have The White House as our base of operations. Gotta go - time for a Rita's Ice run!!

Our group was made up of three 69+ couples. We were drawn to the White House because everything is on one floor and each couple had their own bathroom. We found the White House to be well equipped, spacious, and comfortable. The pool was a joy to use. There is plenty of room to get together as a group, yet offered ample places to sit alone and read or carry on one-on-one conversations. The weather was not conducive to spending time on the beach but it was handy when we had the chance. We have been travelling to different places each year for many years. This is one of the nicer places we have stayed. We would stay there again, and may do that, if we tire of moving around.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers.
