FUN ON THE WATER?
The lake is very calm and peaceful in the "off season" which is our favorite season! Our boat is in the boat slip from October - March but you are welcome to bring a boat and tie it off to the dock cleats. There are also several boat rental companies in the area if you just want to rent for a couple of hours to tour the lake. We can provide rental information if needed.
FUN OFF THE WATER?
Once (if) you come in from the water, there are still plenty of things to do inside. The downstairs game room is fun for all ages. Amenities include ping pong, snack station, large sectional sofa with views of the lake and satellite TV. Enjoy movies, crafts, board games, books, magazines, tourist info, stereo and wireless internet in this room. The tiled game room has sliding doors right onto the back lawn for indoor and outdoor fun all day long.
The adjoining bunk room is great for "kids" of all ages with it's own living space, fireplace and TV for games or movie watching. A card table is ready for board games, crafts or puzzles. A small nursery with a full sized crib, exersaucer and sling chair are part of this large room. There are 6 twin beds and two full sized air mattresses for you.
Upstairs on the main entry level is a 3rd open living room, dining room and kitchen perfect for more "adult" gatherings with panoramic views of the lake. Enjoy comfortable seating for 11, vaulted ceilings, towering stone fireplace and two sets of large glass doors which slide open to the balcony for a spectacular indoor-outdoor space to be enjoyed year round.
FURRY FRIENDS?
Pets are always welcome with a signed pet agreement. The back yard is fenced on three sides of the home with open access to the lake on the fourth. A small kennel, pet toys and treats are in the downstairs laundry room.
OUR LOCATION?
Sunset Shores Lakehouse is located in Granite Shoals, TX right off of Highway 1431. It is only 60 minutes northwest of Austin, 90 minutes north of San Antonio, 3 hours south of Dallas/Ft. Worth and 3 ½ hours west of Houston.
LOCAL ACTIVITIES & ATTRACTIONS?
You are just 10 minutes from Marble Falls or Kingsland (just right down Hwy 1431) for grocery shopping, restaurants and boutique/antique shopping. You are also close to - golf courses (Packsaddle Public Golf Course or The Legends Golf Course in Kingsland or Inks Lake State Park Golf Course), water parks (Granite Beach in Horseshoe Bay), hiking and camping (Inks Lake State Park), wineries (4 local) and sightseeing/tourist attractions (Longhorn Caverns and Sweet Berry Farm).

Why the Owner Chose Granite Shoals
We selected this vacation home because it just felt right from the moment we walked on the front porch. There are amazing views of the lake from so many spaces. The sunsets are truly spectacular, hence the name Sunset Shores Lakehouse. Granite Shoals, in particular, is well situated on the lake for easy access to either Horseshoe Bay amenities or skiing on the Colorado Arm. We love the "small town" feel of Granite Shoals within 10 minutes to all the conveniences offered in Marble Falls.
The Unique Benefits at this Home
This particular home provides so many options to spend time together yet offers secluded spaces to relax alone. There are multiple indoor and outdoor living spaces and 4 bedrooms.
This particular waterfront is perfect for our family. We range in ages from 2-82 and there is something perfect for each of us. There is shallow swimming where our 2 year old can stand alone, deeper water a few feet away for our 8 year old, covered boat slip for my husband, great fishing from the dock for Grandma and so many other things. Our recent improvements to the backyard to include an outdoor kitchen right by the water's edge allow us to enjoy the lake all day long. With a large gas grill and double butcher block bars for guest, you never have to go inside until bed time. Can't beat that!

We purchased Sunset Shores in May of 2008 as a family vacation home. We live in Austin and San Antonio so the Highland Lakes area is just perfect for a short commute to feel a world away. We look forward to creating memories with our family, friends and vacationing guests.
