Located on the quiet, non-driving side of beautiful New Smyrna Beach, this newly renovated, NON-SMOKING and NO PETS, 3 bedroom, 3 bath, completely furnished, 2nd floor, corner condo unit offers the peace and tranquility associated with being directly on the ocean. THIS UNIT IS VERY CHILD FRIENDLY (toys, games, books, DVD's, dolls, pack n' play crib, baby monitors, high chair and much more). Our property is also very close to a park with a children's playground where you can see manatees swimming by in the intercoastal waterway.
We recently added new cabinets in kitchen and bathrooms, new carpeting, a 32' LCD flat screen TV in the living room, DVD Player with Free Netflix access to 20,000 movies, 17' LCD flat screen TV in master bedroom, BlueRay DVD Player, crown molding, 5 1/4 inch baseboards throughout, six panel doors with new hardware, new furniture, new up-to-date knock down texture on the ceiling and walls and special lighting in the Kitchen.
Total living area is a spacious 1706 square feet. This special Condo with east and south exposures offers unobstructed views of the ocean from the living room, dining area, kitchen, master bedroom and covered beautifully tiled patio. An abundance of windows and sliding glass doors brings in natural light that brightens all rooms. The second floor location is the perfect elevation to enjoy views of the ocean, surf and beach while seated in the living room, making a feast in the kitchen, having dinner in the dining area, lounging in the master bedroom or just relaxing on the porch. Access is also convenient by elevator, or one quick flight of stairs. Comfortably furnished and accessorized, this unit has all new appliances (large and small), linens, kitchen utensils, pots and pans, dishes and glassware, window treatments, furniture, along with ceiling fans, and TV's in every room (including 32 inch LCD Flat Screen TV in Living Room and 17' LCD Flat Screen TV in Master Bedroom). The master bedroom has all new furniture with a king-size bed. The second and third bedrooms each have two twin beds. There is also a pull out queen sleeper sofa in the living room. A pack n' play crib and bed side rails are also available for our guests. There is also a top-of-the-line Aerobed self-inflating air mattress (very comfortable). Guests also have access to tennis rackets, kites, basketball, toys for the kids, puzzles and games for all ages, a collection of books, videos, DVD's, CD's and cassette tapes, beach toys, boogie boards, skim board, pool inflatables, beach umbrellas, beach chairs and beach buggy to easily transport all items to the beach.
All of our renters have access to the property's penthouse recreation lounge which provides an area for special gatherings and recreation complete with kitchen facilities, 2 billiards tables, table tennis, card tables, collection of books and puzzles along with a fireplace. The roof deck opens to panoramic views of the beach and the river and is an excellent place to enjoy spectacular sunrises and space shuttle launches. A state-of-the-art entry gate system has recently been installed making this one of only a few facilities on New Smyrna Beach with restricted gated access. In addition, high speed wireless internet access is now available for all renters so you can stay connected to the world while listening to the soothing sounds of the ocean waves.

New Smyrna Beach has been the destination of our family beach vacation for the past 27 years. This condo (and the Southwind) is the best yet. I cannot say enough good things about our visit there. Immaculate, spacious, tastefully decorated (but uncluttered), comfortable, wonderful view, owners and managers helpful, friendly and courteous. The owners have made every effort to see that their guests have everything needed for a pleasant stay. This uncrowded part of the beach is a little bit of paradise. We have stayed at this condo many times and we love it. It is just like being at your home with all the modern conveniences except you have these wonderful sunrises and picturesque view of the ocean. If you just want to get away and do nothing or want to take advantage of a wonderful pool, tennis courts, beautiful ocean views, beach walks, we recommend this great place for you.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

We just returned from our Second Stay at your beautiful, ocean front condo on New Smyrna Beach. We have been going to New Smyrna for the past 20 years and this is by far our favorite condominium, in our favorite complex. It is large, open, sunny and beautifully decorated and fully equipped with everything you would need for a perfect vacation! The views are incredible and the owners were extremely helpful! We will be back next year and would recommend this unit to anyone! Minutes away from many great restaurants or eat in the large, kitchen that has everything you need to make wonderful meals and memories. Perfect for families with young children, teenagers, friends or a girls week!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Beautiful View of the Ocean. Other than that, very run down and in need of remodeling. Furniture in living room area very worn and dirty. Comforters on beds are very worn and dirty as well. Very limited supply of dishes/kitchen necessities. We have stayed at Minorca for the past 3 years for comparable price and there is no comparison. Very overpriced. Would not recommend staying in this unit. You will be disappointed.Owner response: We greatly value the feedback we get from all of our guests. When we received this email we immediately called the guest to get further input from them. They apologized for the negative online review and for never having contacted us or the property management company in regards to resolving any of their issues during or after their stay. We are always available to help our guests with any issues to ensure that their stay in our beach condo is an exceptional one. The day we learned that the refrigerator was in need of being replaced a new one was in place 3 hours later. All new comforters have been ordered and will be in place on August 11. The guest said that they were upset that the pool had been closed for two days. I understand and agree with them - I just called the onsite manager and learned that the pool had had a major leak and thus it had to be temporarily closed for repair. Had the guest come to us we would have made alternate accomodations for access to a beautiful nearby pool. The guest also mentioned that TV remotes needed new batteries and were difficult to use. We will again restock the unit with extra batteries and also make sure that the directions for using the TV and DVD are more visible. In regards to the guests comments about the limited supply of dishes and kitchen necessities all the cabinets are fully stocked with dishes for a family of 8, silverware, pots and pants, cooking utensils, blender, toaster oven, toaster, coffee maker, spices, coffee, tea, oil and vinegar and more. We are open to adding any additional items should a guest request them or we think of anything that guests will enjoy having there. Suggestions are always welcome. While we appreciate this guests input we feel that the comments do not reflect the general consensus from most of our guests. When I spoke to the guest they promised to post a follow up comment that was more favorable. This is the first negative comment that we have had in 9 years of owning this home. We take it very seriously and will make additional updates to ensure that every guest is 100% pleased with our home and their stay.

My family and I stayed at the condo on New Smyrna and couldn't ask for a better vacation. Gated, on the beach, and with a pool. That is just the tip of the iceberg . So many great points I don't know where to start. Clean, well stocked for cooking, relaxing, and going to the beach. Every morning on the balcony we watched dolphins in the ocean. Awesome place, we're coming back!Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers.

The apartment and the grounds are top shelf with the ocean seconds from your comfortable chair. New Smyrna has great resaurants and solitude. We love the fact that it is on a peninsula with NO traffic with easy access. The apartment is immaculate with everything one needs for a pleasant stay. We are now planning our return trip. 5 star complex including good security.Recommended for: Girls getaway, people with disabilities, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Our condo is literally seconds from the beach. When sitting in the living room it often feels like you are on a luxury cruise ship with the ocean right outside the windows. Regarding restaurants some of our favorites include Mi Mexico, Boston Fish House, Mon D'elice french bakery, New Smynra Steak House, and Breakers. For desert we love to get soft ice cream at Frozen Gold.

We love this beach condo in our favorite complex on beautiful New Smyrna Beach! It is large, open, sunny with plenty of room for a family. It is beautifully decorated, yet homey and perfect for families with young children or teenagers. We would recommend this condo to anyone who wants to enjoy a lovely beach vacation in one of the most beautiful condos in New Smyrna Beach! We are already planning our summer 2012 vacation here! The owners are wonderful to work with and make sure you have everything you need to make your stay special. There are so many wonderful restaurants in New Smyrna Beach but the kitchen in this condo is perfect for dining in and sitting out on the balcony, that overlooks the ocean to share a meal and memories with your family and friends that will last forever! Stayed here with nieces and nephews (2-19 yrs old) and we ALL had a blast! The condo is beautiful...great light from the windows around the living room (love a corner unit!)...fantastic furnishings and provisions...we even read one of the Hardy Boys mysteries from the back bedroom! The dvds and toys were a big hit as well. Looking out onto the beach from the patio was so relaxing...well worth the price of admission. My morning run was great, with a perfect view of the sunrise as a reward. We boogie-boarded and my brother brought his Stand Up Paddleboard over, too. That was GREAT! The pool was great, management was very helpful and the community room upstairs was a blast with the pool table and table tennis game! Really, the best we could hope for with kids on board! Martin offers a great experience and we will be back!! :)Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

My family just returned from a week at your amazing beach condo. 4 generations of us were able to enjoy fellowship together in the comfort of your abundantly user-friendly place; we could feel the "love of family" you've established there with your own children/grandchildren. Thank you for one of the most memorable visits to New Smyrna we've had - this was our 6th time there; first with 4 generations. We loved our stay & thank you for your willingness to share it with others! The property was very well maintained & clean throughout the entire building. The condo itself was well-kept, clean, very comfortable, & above average with organization & extras. The high chair, toys, beach toys & chairs, boogie boards - WOW! It's so great not to have to travel/fly with all of those things! What a great surprise to find so many things available for our use! It'll help us to pack even lighter next time - which, by the way, we are planning on trying to get your place again next spring! :)Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

About the owner: Our family lives nearby in Winter Park, Florida and we love staying in our beach condo as much as possible. With our children in school and involved in many activities we usually have to enjoy the property vicariously through our guests who often send us emails and photos telling us how much they have enjoyed their stay at our special beach home.
Why the Owner Chose Southwind:
New Smyrna Beach is the beach where families from Central Florida (Orlando) have been going to for many years. There are many other choices for beaches in the area (Cocoa Beach, Titusville, Daytona Beach, Melbourne, Ponce Inlet, and others) but New Smyrna Beach is the number one choice amongst locals here in Orlando. Why? It is very family friendly, easy access to Orlando (1 hour drive), and has a beautiful 14 mile pristine beach. The easy drive to Orlando allows guests to enjoy Disney, Sea World, Universal Studios and other fun attractions that Orlando offers.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
The Southwind condo is one of the few properties that are gated which makes our beach area much more private. Our condo is the only one on the beach that has a manicured lawn between the property and the beach making it very much like a private home. Our property is located on the southern end of the beach which does not allow cars to drive on the beach (the north side does allow cars to drive on the beach). With our unit being on the second floor corner unit you have incredible views of the beach and ocean. Our unit has 3 bedrooms and 3 baths which is great for our family. Most 3 bedroom units on the beach only have 2 baths. There is a huge difference between our condo and most others. We bought this property with the goal to make it the most guest friendly one on the beach. We love having families with children enjoy our condo and have added many amenities for children that very few other properties have (baby monitors, side rails for beds, many many toys, games, books, DVD's, and more.
