3 bedroom ski-in ski-out is on ground floor on the slope side with PRIVATE IN-ROOM hot tub. Grill, 3 Flat Panel TVs, handmade aspen bed. Walk out your door to the mountain house lifts 25 yards away. No stairs, no elevator, no long hallways.
At over 1,750 square feet, this ground floor 3 bedroom/3 bathroom unit has plenty of room for 6 in beds and 3 more on the new heavy-duty comfy Queen sleeper sofa in the living room (where you can watch the 55" HDTV and fireplace) and a twin Sleeper Love seat in one of the master bedrooms. The unit is located on the side of the building, so it has lots of windows and light on 3 sides and 2 full patios and is not dark like many condos with windows on just 1 or 2 sides.
NOTE: The sleeper sofa matress and mechanism that comes with sleeper sofas is weak and uncomfortable (to say th e least) so the owner of 2709 has had it replaced with a heavy-duty mechanism and much heavier mattress designed to be slept on year-round. You have to sleep on it to experience the difference.
PRIVATE HOT TUB in separate spa room: Many Chateaux D'Mont units have a 30 yr old built-in spa with 4 weak jets. We have taken this all out and replaced it with a modern 14 jet ozone-equipped Arctic Spa with arctic slate floors and walls. The hot tub also has stereo sound from the CD or your iPhone/iPad/iPod. Relax in your private 4 person hot tub that is just steps to the slopes in this condo listening to music, and watching TV and the fire in your wood fireplace with wood delivered on request to your back deck.
The property features 2 master suites (one with bonus twin sleeper bed) and a 3rd kids room with twin beds. Each bedroom has it's own private full bath, with one bath shared with the living room in a 'jack-and-jill'. Each bedroom has it's own TV in addition to the living room TV with 32" HDTV flat panels with integrated DVD players in the 2 master suites. One Master suite has a hand-hewn aspen 4-poster bed that is stunning.
There is also a washer and dryer located in the condo for your private use.
The grounds of the Chateaux D'Mont are some of the most beautiful in the resort. Green grass is just outside the door of your 2 patios and follow the winding path through the aspen woods and flowers to the gigantic grill center in the shared courtyard. There are only 27 condos in the Chateaux D'Mont, so there won't be a line for the grill but it's a great place to meet your fellow visitors as well as property owners.
An extensive remodel has been done on this grand old property with all new furnishings and a completely updated living room, kitchen and spa room. 2 of the 3 bathrooms have also been completely taken out and redone. The kitchen has granite countertops and backsplashes with a beautiful copper stove detail to match the rustic copper that surrounds the fireplace. You'll find new stainless steel appliances, all new bedding and stereo sound wired to the living, hot tub and 3rd bedroom and TV's in all 3 bedrooms. In addition to the private hot tub, there is a jetted 1-2 person bathtub in one of the 2 master suites. The other master suite has 2 closets, and an oversized shower with bench tiled in travertine. There's even a dock to hook up and charge your iPhone/iPod and play the music in the living area and/or the spa area.
Those that have discovered Mountain House base area know that it's the original un-crowded base area of Keystone. It has much better space for ski-school (which is right outside your door) and rarely has lift lines.
You're here to relax... Mountain House base area is like having your own private base area and access to the mountain!
Note that there is no LAND LINE PHONE in this property. All cell carriers have strong signals in Keystone, so bring your personal cell phone, or if you don't have a cell phone, we will provide one for you for up to 25 free local and long distance minutes/day of your stay. Ask at check-in for your phone if you require a loaner phone.

Not sure where the one cranky ALL CAPS reviewer was staying but we found this unit to be perfect like the 16 reviews on another large vacation review site all unanimously say. Mountain house is like having your own private base area! It's quiet and uncrowded (and that's a GOOD THING for us) and being on the first floor means you walk out and are on the slopes in <5 mins. It's located right where the listing says, near the lodge, so technically not right on the snow, but close enough to be closer than walking down halls and waiting for elevators and walking through lobbies in the other ski-in ski-out buildings. The other review found the daily hot tub service annoying somehow, but we liked knowing the hot tub was safe and well attended to with the 5 min visit which usually was done while we were out skiing. The staff were attentive and check-in a breeze. This property is great and we've stayed with them many times before and we request this unit whenever we have friends come with us. We'll be back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

A spacious, well-appointed property, quite close to the ski lifts, large hot tub...a wonderful place to stay.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

WE WERE SO DISAPPOINTED AT THE ACCOMODATIONS WHEN WE ARRIVED. AFTER TRAVELING FROM ALABAMA,THE LARGE RATE THEY WERE CHARGING AND ALL WE WERE TOLD ABOUT THIS UNIT WE WERE EXPECTING THE BEST. BUT THAT NOT WHAT WE RECEIVED!! BEWARE....CARPET DIRTY....FOOD FROM PREVIOUS GUEST IN FRIG....SOFA IT SO WORN WE HAD TO PLACE PILLOWS JUST TO BE ABLE TO SIT ON IT. TWIN BEDS AND BACK MASTER BEDROOMS BEDDING IS SO CHEAP AND HARD ITS UNBEARABLE. THE BACK BEDROOMS BATH IS SOOOOO OLD AND STINKS. IT ALSO HAD A LEAK IN THE SINK AREA THAT WAS DISCOVERD BY US BECAUSE THE CARPET...YES, CARPET IN THE BATH AREA WAS SOOO WET. LINENS WERE DIRTY UPON ARRIVAL. AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE LIGHTING IN THIS UNIT...ITS TERRIBLE AND CRAZY. WASHER AND DRYER ARE OLD AND VERY SMALL. WHEN THE WATER IN THE BACK BATH IN TURNED ON OR THE UNIT ABOVE YOU TURNS THEIR WATER ON, IT SOUNDS LIKE THE PIPES ARE GONNA JUMP OUT OF THE WALL. JUST OVERALL AN OLD UNIT THEY HAVE TRIED TO MAKE GREAT BUT HAVE FALLEN WAY SHORT!!! BUT THE WORST OF ALL IS THE FACT THAT THEY DO NOT TELL YOU THIS UNIT IS LOCATED IN A VERY, VERY VERY HIGH TRAFFIC AREA. PEOPLE ARE CONSTANTLY WALKING BY THIS UNIT AND YOU CAN HEAR EVERYTHING THEY ARE SAYING AND IF YOU DON'T KEEP THE OLD SHADES DOWN, THEY ARE LOOKING IN STAIRING AT YOU...NOT PRIVATE AT ALL!!!! OH AND ONE MORE THING...IF YOU RENT THIS UNIT THEY ALSO DON'T TELL YOU AND SOME RANDOM GUY WILL COME IN EVERYDAY AND CHECK THE HOT TUB. THEY DIDN'T TELL US AND I WAS THERE ALONE AND WAS VERY UNEASY WITH HIM COMING IN AND THEY DON'T STAY A MIN....MORE LIKE 20-30...VERY UNCOMFORTABLE....WOKE ME UP ONE MORNING (WAS TRYING TO SLEEP AFTER BEING WOKE UP BY THE LOUD OUTSIDERS AND WATER PIPES)BEATING ON THE DOOR!!! JUST AN OVER ALL UNCOMFORTABLE UNIT...WE DIDN'T GET ANY REST IN THIS UNIT!! WE REALLY CONSIDERED LEAVING A NIGHT EARLY FOR DENVER...IT WAS THAT BAD!!
