Amazing Labor Day Wedding Weekend

We chose the Bayshore House to host our Rehearsal Dinner BBQ and Outdoor Beach Wedding after searching and visiting just about every other possible location northern Michigan had to offer. We simply could not have chosen a better place. The house was perfect and idyllic, creating the atmosphere we had dreamed about for our big weekend. We had our wedding party rent rooms from us, which created a very intimant wedding experience. The house had everything we needed, including an amazing private beach with a bonfire pit and a dock that led out to a nice sandy bottom swimming experience. It also needs to be mentioned how gracious and helpful the owners, Holly and Neal, are to their guests. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed to pull of our wedding event. All of our guests had an amazing time and called it the best rehearsal dinner and wedding they have ever been a part of. We cannot wait to return to this property to re-live all of the wonderful memories. Thanks again to Holly and Neal for being so helpful. We would absolutely recommend Garage Bar & Grill in Northport, as well as Barb's bakery and Knot-Just-A-Bar. Sleeping Bear Dunes is also a must-see destination, as well as the fabulous wineries on the Leelanau Peninsula.

Wow! We were so lucky to find this beautiful home for our vacation and wedding! It was everything we dreamed of-and our guests all felt the same. The house is beautiful, clean, functional, and has the most gorgeous landscape for a party, ceremony, or just enjoying with your family. Holly, the owner, was amazing to work with. I felt comfortable calling her with questions before arrival and during our stay. Holly even put me in touch with past brides who used the house as their venue for their wedding-that helped so much in my planning process!! The house is close to many wineries, Suttens Bay, Northport, Traverse City, and our personal favorite, Leelanau (Fishtown). We were able to "show-off" how beautiful Up North Michigan is to all of our guests! We highly recommend this house to all wanting to experience true beauty in Northern Michigan!

Holly & Andy... your beautiful Bayshore home was ideal for our family vacation. The entire week was just absolutely wonderful. This home has just about everything you can hope for in a vacation property. It's close to many fun activities and perfect for day trips (although our family was always reluctant to leave)! The Lake Michigan water is gorgeous and we spent plenty of time on the beach. This home and all of it's amenities are absolutely first class! I have several inquiries about your property everytime I show the photos from our vacation. My entire family is truly in love with your home and it's setting. One of the very best features are the many different gathering spaces. With seven children and two grandbabies we could always find a little private space. The decor is perfect for the setting. This was our family's third visit to the Bayshore Beach House and it was another fantastic trip! We cannot imagine spending our family vacation anywhere else. The house perfectly fits our group of 8 adults and 4 children and it has everything you need for a memorable week of fun - kayaks, games, a fully-stocked kitchen, and best of all, an amazing sandy beach right outside your door. We had amazing weather the entire week - warm and sunny everyday. It was difficult to pull our group away from the beach to visit the wonderful towns of Leland and Suttons Bay near the house! Our most memorable experience of the week was watching the 4th of July fireworks from our bonfire on the beach - it was truly special.

As charming in winter as in summer

Two friends and I rented Bayshore on a cold and snowy weekend in February. I'd been up to the house the prior August and anticipated a very different vacation. I did not anticipate that our time there would be even more enjoyable. The winter on the peninsula is lovely, serene, and beautiful. The house was in tip-top shape. We spent the afternoons driving around the peninsulas and Traverse and stocking up on wine, which we promptly consumed by the fireplace in the evenings. The lack of tourists made the place seem even more peaceful, and we hope to plan a return trip next winter.

Perfect Girls Wine Weekend

This was our 2nd stay at the Beach House and will not be our last! It was the perfect house for 12 women to escape for a girls wine weekend. We were so happy with not only the size of the home but the cleanliness, decor and location of home. The home had a well stock kitchen too! Beautiful sun rises over Grand Traverse Bay. The owner was fantastic to work with and made sure that everything was taken care of which made our stay so memorable. Great house for large groups or families!

This house is a wonderful retreat for a larger group. There are ample beds, baths, and spaces for everyone. The house is cozy and well maintained. Everything you need is there. The property is beautiful and the view is amazing. We enjoyed relaxing in the hammock and having a cozy fire at night. The vineyards are so close and the towns of Leland, Northport and Suttons Bay are only a short drive. A really wonderful retreat for larger family or girls retreat.

The Bayshore House was an absolutely perfect venue for our wedding and post-wedding celebration with 55 of our closest friends and family. We were married on the beach and a beautiful tall sailing ship with red sails cruised by in the background. The yard was the perfect size for a tented reception and yard games and the firepit complimented our s'mores for a perfect end to the night. We toured several wineries and breweries the following day and played mini-golf at Pirates Cove, went Scuba diving off the dock and down the road in Omena, and ate way too much incredible food. The setting and the accommodations couldn't have been more perfect.

Late Summer Family Reunion

We visited the beach house the week of August 21st and found the location and setting wonderful for our family reunion. The area was peaceful and secluded, offering a sense of our own private beach; we rarely encountered others on the beach. We enjoyed kayaking, bike riding up to the light house, and evening fires reminiscing on the beach. My favorite memory was sitting on the beach watching my husband fishing off the dock one late evening as the largest moon I ever saw came up behind him over the horizon.

Impeccably designed home in an idyllic setting

We spent a half a week at Bayshore, but it felt like much longer! The area is so relaxing, and the home itself is perfectly suited to the location. Bayshore offered everything we could have wanted in the way of amenities and was far more charming than we had even expected. Holly has decorated it with impeccable taste, style, and attention to detail (each bedroom even has its own specially embroidered linens!), and while it rained for part of our stay, it was actually a blessing, as it allowed us to explore each room of the home and enjoy time there. Holly and Andy were the perfect owners and assisted us with all our questions about dining and exploring the area and were very prompt in their responses. I have vacationed often in Traverse City but never taken the opportunity to explore Leelanau, and it had far more to offer in terms of restaurants and shopping than we'd imagined. TC is a close car trip away but far enough to make Bayshore feel like a peaceful retreat. While we had just five guests, it would be a great space for a family with children. Their were tons of kids' books and toys, and plenty of space for adults and kids to both feel at home. The water is crystal clear and quite warm enough to swim. The kayaks offered a great way to explore the coastline and the other beautiful homes in the area. I'm looking forward to returning many times!

Beautiful BayShore Beach House

We could not have been happier with our choice of vacation homes. This is our second year at BayShore and will continue to come up as long as our gracious hosts will allow us!! The amenities in the house are outstanding. You do not need to bring a thing...except clothes!! Top-notch furniture, bedding, towels and linens are in every room. Children's toys (grown-ups too), books, beach chairs are in abundance. Our hosts, Holly and Neal, do a great job of accomodating their guests. You must visit Northport. It's a charming town. Suttons Bay is nearby with great dining and shopping. If wineries are your desire, they are everywhere. We would recommend this home to anyone!! Northern Michigan Treasure

Dear Holly and Andy, From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found our home away from home. Although large in structure, your beach house is warm, cozy, and inviting, and at the same time allowing privacy for each individual family. The large grassy lawn extending to the beautiful sandy beach and crystal clear water provided safety for our grandchildren. The patio was large enough with room to spare for family meals. Nice job constructing the picnic table Andy. Among our favorite amenities, which one doesn't often find at other rental properties, are the outdoor shower, kayaks, fire pit, boat dock, second full size refrigerator, gourmet kitchen to delight any cook, and top of the line beds and linens for heavenly comfort. If you decide to venture out, we recommend Sleeping Bear Dunes, dinner at the Blue Bird restaurant in the quaint fishing village of Leland. Northport has great pizza at the Eat Spot and delicious cinnamon rolls at Barb's Bakery. We have rented vacation homes in the past, and Bayshore Beach House is 'the one' surpassing all others. Thank you Holly and Andy for sharing your precious jewel with us.

A perfect Week at a Perfect House

My husband and I celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary by renting this wonderful house on the shore of Lake Michigan and bringing our entire family together for a week. Our group consisted of our three children and their spouses as well as our eight grandchildren aged twelve years to eighteen years. There were sixteen of us in all. The house accomodated us very nicely, the weather was mostly wonderful and the lake and the various playthings (kayaks, boat, beach chairs, towels, games, etc.) made for a wonderful time. The kitchen is fully equipped to handle meal preparation and service. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Blue Bird restaurant in Leland; had fun poking around the neat shops at Fishtown, but mainly enjoyed the meals prepared by the wonderful cooks in our family. Our stay created wonderful memories for all of us. I would highly reccommend this house to anyone.

This was our third visit to the Bayshore Beach House. Each time we visit we are just as happy as the first time, maybe even more! This visit included 95 year old great-grandpa who enjoyed it just as much as the rest of us. This year our age span was 8-95 years!! There is not one single thing that Holly and Andy missed when creating this vacation paradise. We enjoy this home and the surrounding area more than words can express. Our family is so comfortable here and always leave part of our hearts there. This is a home that we feel will be creating memories in our family for many years to come. Bayshore Beach House

My family spent the week of June 26 -July 3, 2010 at this wonderful home and we enjoyed it very much. There were 16 of us ages from 66 to 5 and everyone agreed it was the best vacation ever. Grandma, Grandpa, our daughter and her husband and our two sons and their wifes and 8 grandchildren spent the week together. The beds were wonderful. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could ever need. The kids loved the room over the garage with all the games you would ever want to play. We enjoyed the beach every day and it was our favorite place to gather at night for a campfire and to just be together. Holly and Andy welcomed us when we arrived and make us feel like one of the family. We would recommend this home to anyone who is looking for a vacation they will long remember.

Another magical week at the Bayshore Beach House

For the second year in a row, our extended family (7 adults, 4 children) spent a wonderful week in Northport. We had perfect weather every single day with temperatures in the upper 70s/80s (two rainy/cloudy mornings broke into afternoon sunshine!) which allowed for ample time to enjoy the beautiful beach. It was even warm enough to swim in the crystal clear water! And the two rainy mornings allowed us time to visit charming Leland and Suttons Bay which are both a short drive away from the house. I think everyone's favorite part of the trip were the evenings spent around the campfire roasting marshmallows and gazing at the beautiful star-filled sky. We cannot say enough about how wonderful this house is - spacious, beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable, and has everything you could possibly need for a wonderful family vacation (from games, to movies, to even an ice cream maker!)

Loved Bayshore Beach House!

House was everything described and more! Clean, well furnished & decorated, and a wonderful location! We had 2 families - total of 6 people - lots of room to be together or apart, depending on everyone's mood. Kids room is ideal, private with own bath, and back staircase to kitchen. Might recommend another television or 2 in the house, particularly in the kids (teen) room for late night video games! Owner was extremely easy to work with and catered to all of our needs. Recommend Stellas in Traverse City for dinner - food & atmosphere is amazing! We had a great, relaxing vacation and will surely return to the area and to Bayshore Beach House. May 28-31, 2010 There are no words to describe how beautiful and comfortable Bayshore Beach House is. We felt right at home as soon as we walked through the front doors. The comfort begins from the layout of the house to all the amenities available right at your fingertips. They carefully thought of everything one would need to make us feel right at home, which made our little weekend that much more special. Our family had the best time boating, kayaking, swimming, sunbathing, cooking, and eating. We couldn’t have asked for better weather too, sunny and 80s. It is beautiful with breathtaking views. We had a fabulous time and couldn’t have wished for better weather. This home is a home away from home…and some! Very kid friendly. The beach is very clean. Great sand area for relaxing and sand castles with the kids. They provide many amenities from kitchen supplies to beach towels. We thank the home owners for their hospitality. What an amazing property!!! We rented this property in late September 2009 to hold our wedding. We were married on the beach and hosted a tent reception for 80 guests in the large backyard. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We have made so many wonderful memories at this house and hope to visit again soon! In planning my wifes 40th birthday surprise party, I was looking for a house that condusive to entertaining eight couples. We needed a general common area for the group to be together as well as enough private space for personal comfort. The Beach House appeared to fit the bill online. However, it was not until we arrived did I realize the house exceeded my expectations. Walking thru the front door we immediately felt at home. My wife felt as though she had just stepped into a Pottery Barn or LLBean catalog. The house layout was perfect for the group. We never had the feeling of a cramped space. Holly made the reservation process extremely simple and I felt well informed through-out the entire rental process. I'd highly recommend the Beach House. My wife and I will be watching for an oportunity to rent the Beach House again during the summer, so we can take advantage of the beautiful beach.

Recently, eight couples enjoyed this perfectly lovely home for an annual getaway wine tour. It was absolutly wonderful to enjoy each other's company in such an impeccably decorated home. Holly has given so much attention to detail that the warm atmosphere kept us from wanting to venture out to see the sights we've always loved. Being right there on the bay has even made some of us want to possibly return for a summertime retreat and enjoy all the ammenities with our familys. Maybe then, after already experiencing all of the conveniences of home, we may not be so apt to overpack. Thank you for sharing your home with us Holly and God Bless you and your family!!!!

My extended family stayed at this beautiful home to celebrate my parent's 40th anniversary. We couldn't have asked for a more wonderful location. The house was amazing with plenty of space for the nine of us. The house is beautifully docorated. We hope to come back often.

We wented this lovely beach house to celebrate my parents 40th wedding anniversery and my moms 60th birthday. We had a wonderful time, it was so nice to spend time with our extended family in such a beautiful location. We stayed at the house in the middle of October and the leaves were peaking with color. We would wake every morning early just so we could sit in the living room and look out the giant picture window and watch the sunrise over the lake. Just after sunrise we would walk down to the dock and enjoy a cup of coffee. I would definetly recommend this property to anyone considering renting in Northern Michigan.

This is a gorgeous home in an ideal location. Our family stayed for a long weekend to celebrate my mother's 60th birthday and this vacation went down as one of the best yet. We hoped to take in the local sights but once we settled in there was no reason to leave. The home was well stocked with everything you would ever need on a vacation. The property was quiet, secluded and absolutely beautiful. We will definitely be renting here again. Thank you for opening your home to us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This was a fabulous large home we rented this Summer for week-long vacation. With its private beach and serene surroudings, we experienced our best vacation so far. The wineries and the sceinic area in Suttons Bay is a perfect spot for relaxing and escape from our busy lives. It was surprise to see that the house had everything you can imagine. We can't wait to return to this area next year. Thank you for sharing the house and we returned home with wonderful memories.

The Bayshore Beach House was the perfect setting for our extended family gathering! The house itself fit the eight adults and four children quite comfortably. The local decor added charm to the house, and each room had its own character. Many wonderful memories were made during our week here--from games of Twister in the living room to nightly fires on the beach to kayak trips to "Skull" Island as our 9-year-old twins affectionately dubbed it. Northport (and the surrounding area) is such a serene, peaceful, and stunning corner of the country--we can't wait to return again next year! Thank you opening you lovely home to us!

As regulars to the Northport area we were delighted to discover the Grand Traverse Bay. The calmness of the waters relative to Lake Michigan is great for those worried for small children. The remoteness of the setting makes this house ideal for intimate family and friend gatherings. The house is beautifully furnished and yet still cheerful and very hospitable for families. A great center for reunions!

The most incredible vacation home we ever stayed in! Impeccably decorated and loaded with charm, we couldn't have asked for anything more. There were 10 adults and 6 children (10 mos to 4 1/2 yrs) and we had plenty of room to play and places to go for alone time too. Just bring your clothes!! Every thing for the smallest baby to the oldest child was included. We'll be back!!! Thanks Holly, Andy and family

We've recently returned form a 2-week stay in this beautiful home and cannot rave enough about it. The house sits on a lovely private beach overlooking the Bay, perfect for swimming and boating. Our children enjoyed playing in the yard in the afternoon and having bonfires in the evenings. The owners have decorated with beautiful furnishings, and no detail has been overlooked, from the games and DVDs in the den to the firewood and beach toys outside. We were able to prepare elaborate meals in the well-appointed kitchen. Thanks for sharing your great home with us. We look forward to visiting Northport again in years to come.

Just got back from the most beautiful place we have ever rented for our summer getaway. We have rented many places over the years and this home is, by far, the most comfortable and clean home, from the sheets and towels, to the cups, dishes, and utensils. The decor is top line, including the furniture, paintings and other miscellaneous decorations. We appreciated the manner in which the home has been cared for and look forward to another stay. It was a perfect getaway, and only wish I was still there!!

This beautiful home had everything we needed for our 10 family members to enjoy our first complete family get together. We spent a week there and never felt crowded and never found ourselves in need of anything. This home is beautiful,very well furnished and comfortable for everyone. This house is beautiful, just as pictured and described. Our extended family of 13 had a fantastic time. We like to cook, and the kitchen served us well. We loved kayaking and swimming and fires on the beach. We also loved the charming towns and countryside. It is a lovely place to vacation.

We cannot begin to express how pleased we were with this beautiful beach home. The home is decorated with beautiful furnishings and expresses the beauty of Northern Michigan in every room. This is a wonderful home with plenty of room and an ideal private location! We were 4 couples with 6 children and never felt cramped. Great area to vacation with plenty to see and do nearby, although we didn't ever feel the need to leave! Wish we could have stayed all summer!

This is a beautiful home, with gorgeous scenery and convenient location – close to town, wineries, and skiing. Our group of 9 had a lot of room to spread out. The house included all the comforts of home – it was very welcoming, even for our 2 year old, who enjoyed playing with the toys and watching the DVDs that were available.
