This spectacular Ocean Front Deluxe condominium #118 on the ground floor is less than 75 feet away from the ocean; with dramatic western views of the sunset year round through massive floor to ceiling windows, and offers a beautiful view of the golden sandy beaches of Kaanapali; the panoramic views of the beautiful Pacific Ocean and islands of Lanai on the left and Molokai on the right.
Tucked away at the end of Kaanapali Shores Place, it attracts owners and visitors alike, who enjoy quiet ocean front living, long walks on the sandy beach in both directions; is close to a variety of restaurants, souvenir shops, a great market with anything you could think of (Times Market, formerly known as Star Market), diving and snorkeling gear shops and a short shuttle ride away from the historic town of Lahaina and golfing.
Beautifully remodeled in July 2007, with brand new Drexel Heritage furnishings, Travertine flooring, extended Private Lanai, Granite Countertops, Cherry cabinetry with ebony finish, Flat screen LCD TV's, Pebblestone custom shower and many more amenities! Our prices are indicative of the quality of the condo; it is one of the more luxurious units at the Mahana, is directly accessible to the beach and by renting from owners, you get exactly what you see here - no surprises on what your unit will look like - so don't play luck of the draw on a getting a wonderful condo for your Maui vacation and we've added many personal touches! And our returning guests who book our condo through our vrbo, we will give a 10% discount (only one discount per booking - at time of booking). And one more thing - NO WAITING - Our guests BYPASS the FRONT DESK in the lobby and go straight to the Kiosk to the right, to sign in to get your parking permit to put in your vehicle. That's it!! Everything else will be in the condo, including a Pak 'N Play for the little ones. You never deal with the Front Desk - Ever!
The beachfront pool and lobby have also recently been remodeled and in the pool area, there are brand new BBQ's where you can grill up that fresh mahi mahi from the market, or where you can sit and relax in the super-sized hot tub and sip your fresh beverage that you can purchase from the beverage cart just a few feet away or bring with you. The Mahana is also upgrading all of the old railings on the lanais to beautiful plexiglass, which may or may not have any direct effect on your stay, but will add to your safety and viewing pleasure when finished!! A remodeling project in L119 will be underway from 10/23 - 10/30/09 M-F 10 - 3pm, so we have blocked 10/23 - 10/30th - due to excessive noise.
From November to May, it is believed that 1,500 - 2,000 humpback whales come to the Maui waters to mate, give birth and care for their young. They are very easy to spot but we enjoyed them even better with binoculars! Toothed whales and dolphins are year-round regulars as are sea turtles; even look for the occasional eel, stingray or octopus! You can walk out and snorkel right in front of your condo or walk to the left between the Mahana and Blackrock and you will find the absolute best snorkeling with the many amazing fish of Maui!
Whaler's Village is fun for shopping and lunch, only a 5 minute drive away (we liked Leilani's and the Hula Grill) and Lahaina is about 10 minutes drive away with many spectacular eating and shopping establishments. Definitely go see the Old Lahaina Luau, it's highly recommended. You'll never want to stay anywhere else on Maui; truly a dream for newlyweds, families, couples for anniversaries or first trips to Maui. Just plain wonderful for those who wish to maximize their time together! Many couples get married on the island and you can find a lot of information for your ceremony at the mauiweddings website, and many island florists to chose from, such as the Kaanapali Romance Florist. Why the Owner Chose Mahana
We absolutely love Maui over all the other islands and the Mahana is so close to the water, you can see the land crabs scuttling around on the beach, all kinds of beautiful fish, sea turtles, humpback whales, dolphins and stingrays in and around the colorful reef just offshore and from your private lanai or windows! Every time we return, we see something new!
The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
The Mahana is the closest buildings to the water, and our condo is the second unit from the left on the Black Rock side of the two buildings, so plenty of privacy.
Roads lead into the Mahana property, consisting of twin bldgs. Our condo is in bldg on left when facing ocean. Condo is numbered L118 because the "L" bldg is on the Lanai island side.
Our condo is in the "Lanai" building of the twin Mahana buildings. Green pointer/marker shown on map is where the Mahana property pool sits between the two buildings.
This is where the Sheridan sits, on the famous "Black Rock". You can walk all the way from the Mahana to and past the Black Rock as far as you want.
Smaller airport, closest to Mahana. Commuter planes to/from HNL and other islands.

09/24-10/08 - I can't believe I'm starting to write this - our 2 weeks in paradise is coming to an end. This place is absolutely amazing!! I've tried to think of something that wasn't perfect and I can't!! The unit is amazing - EVERYTHING we needed at our fingertips. We stayed last year at Kaanapali Shores with our daughter and friend - hubby & I wanted to try something different this year - Googled, did a virtual tour of the unit and we were booked!! We'll never stay anywhere else! Thank you so much for sharing your little piece of Heaven with us!!

We could not have chosen a more beautiful condo in a more beautiful location. We appreciated every little detail - from the lunch cooler, to the supremely comfortable bed. Our son has food allergies, and so we cooked ALL of our meals here - the kitchen was perfectly appointed. Thank you so much, and we certainly hope to stay here again.

4/05/09 - 4/11/09 - We really enjoyed your wonderful condo. It's beautifully appointed and very comfortable. We had great meals at Mama's Fish House (worth the drive), Lahaina Grill, breakfast at the Sea House was our favorite breakfast. Also the deli up the street for takeout. Only dissapointment was the weather (very little sun) - but out of anyone's control. Our only issue with the condo was the wifi service was very intermittent even in the lobby where the signal was supposed to be strongest. It was down for days at a time. Even with the lack of sun, we had a blast. Thanks!

We had such a wonderful trip to Maui - so much to explore and yet still so relaxing. The condo is beautiful and such a great location - we took full advantage of the beach!! Thanks for making the last five days in Maui so relaxing and providing a beautiful place to stay. Our favorites - snorkeling on Molokai w/Trilogy - saw whales, turtles, dolphins and lots of fish. Snorkeling trip to Lanai w/Trilogy. Road to Hana - gorgeous scenery - loved both the black sand beach and the red sand beach. We are already planning a trip for next year! Thanks!

3/10/09 - 2/23/09 Had a wonderful holiday with our 2 girls. Plenty of swimming, sun, splashing in the pool and watching sunsets as whales breach. You have a fabulous condo in the perfect location. The kids had so much fun in the pool and beach and running around on the grass. One of the best spots we have ever stayed in Maui! Hope to be back soon.

02/07/09 - 02/12/09 Dear Russ and Carrie, This is our second visit to the Mahana condos and we thoroughly enjoyed the beauty and comfort of yours. We come to Maui to rest, relax, and unwind fromour stressful professions, so to experience the calm and comfort of your condo was just perfect for us. We walked on the beach 2x a day, snorkeled, and rented ocean kayaks. Whale watching was superb and we had an experience of a lifetime in our kayaks and being within 100ft of a mama and baby whale that came up to our yellow kayak. This vacation was physical theraph for me as I had fallen on the ski slopes 5 days before our vacation. I tore my ACL, and miniscus and bruised my tibia plateau. I thought I was faced with surgery but my Dr. said go on vacation, enjoy and start physical therapy when you return. The walks on the beach and swimming in the ocean have brought a lot of healing and progress to my recovery. This vacation was also celebration of my husbands 54th birthday and he has enjoyed our time herre. I hope that everyone who rents your place appreciates it for it's quality and comfort. We look forward to returning again in the near future.

12/18/08 - 12/30/08 Totally lived up to expectations - after months of anticipation, we were very pleased to finally be here. Saw dozens of spinner dolphins and even a few whales right here on the lanai!! Spent Christmas Day with our 6 & 8 year old kids - even cooked a whole turkey! Spent time on the beach half-way to Black Rock, and the Four Winds to Coral Gardens, Mini-Golf in Maalea Kapalua Beach, Java Jazz for breakfast, BJs on Front Street, Sea Horse for lunch. So many things! ALL GREAT. Thanks for the use of this very nicely decorated condo.
