The beachfront pool and lobby have been remodeled and in the pool area, there are brand new BBQ's where you can grill up that fresh mahi mahi from the market, or where you can sit and relax in the super-sized hot tub and sip your fresh beverage that you can purchase from the beverage cart just a few feet away or bring with you.
From late November to May, 1500 - 2,000 humpback whales come to the Maui waters to mate, give birth and care for their young. They are very easy to spot! Toothed whales and dolphins are year-round regulars as are sea turtles; even look for the occasional eel, stingray or octopus! You can walk out and snorkel right in front of your condo or walk to the left between the Mahana and Blackrock and you will find the absolute best snorkeling with the many amazing fish of Maui!
Whaler's Village is fun for shopping and lunch, only a 5 minute drive away (we liked Leilani's and the Hula Grill) and Lahaina is about 10 minutes drive away with many spectacular eating and shopping establishments. Definitely go see the Old Lahaina Luau, it's highly recommended. You'll never want to stay anywhere else on Maui; truly a dream for newlyweds, families, couples for anniversaries or first trips to Maui. Just plain wonderful for those who wish to maximize their time together! Many couples get married on the island and you can find a lot of information for your ceremony at the Maui Weddings website, and many island florists to choose from, such as the Kaanapali Romance Florist. Why the Owner Chose MahanaWe absolutely love Maui over all the other islands and the Mahana is so close to the water, you can see the land crabs scuttling around on the beach, all kinds of beautiful fish, sea turtles, humpback whales, dolphins and stingrays in and around the colorful reef just offshore and from your private lanai or windows! Every time we return, we see something new!
The Unique Benefits at this CondoThe Mahana is the closest buildings to the water, and our condo is the second unit from the left on the Black Rock side of the two buildings, so plenty of privacy.
Roads lead into the Mahana property, consisting of twin bldgs. Our condo is in bldg on left when facing ocean. Condo is numbered L118 because the "L" bldg is on the Lanai island side.
Our condo is in the "Lanai" building of the twin Mahana buildings. Green pointer/marker shown on map is where the Mahana property pool sits between the two buildings.
This is where the Sheridan sits, on the famous "Black Rock". You can walk all the way from the Mahana to and past the Black Rock as far as you want.
Smaller airport, closest to Mahana. Commuter planes to/from HNL and other islands.
Great Safeway to shop at plus many more shops including Longs Drugs, Banana Wind, Crazy Shirts, etc.

My husband and I enjoyed an 11 night stay in Carrie and Russ' condo in mid February. This main floor unit lived up to our expectations in every way. The pictures accurately describe the furniture and finishes and the views from the living room, bedroom and lanai were amazing! We made good use of the fully supplied kitchen and the outdoor barbeques on site. We spent many hours watching whales, dolphins and were also treated to a visit from a sea turtle and rare monk seal on the beach right in front.. The Mahana is in an excellent location in West Maui with many stores and restaurants nearby. It is at the end of a quiet street, with big old trees adding charm to the property. We did quite a bit of exploring on the island and looked at several other properties while on Maui. Nothing compared to the quiet, beautiful setting of the Mahana. This is not a 5 star resort with restaurants, bars and hundreds of tourists. We are so glad! We can hardly wait to return,

What a beautiful condo in a perfect location! Perfectly quiet in front but close to shopping and pool nearby. Enjoyed many a breakfast over at Dukes - awesome eggs bennie, banana mac pancakes with coconut syrup and beach boy burrito! Food land farms in Lahaina - across from Safeway has excellent Poke! State park was a fun little hike about 30 minutes away. Thanks for sharing your beautiful piece of paradise! Mahalo!

My husband and I love this place! Great location, beautiful setting and everything we needed was here. We could not have asked for a better place to spend our honeymoon. We recommend to take the road to Hana (we hired a private tour guide and highly recommend that), go snorkeling and to enjoy the beach. Thank you Carrie and Russ for the little extra things provided! Our stay here in your lovely condo was wonderful! You have everything you need to make guests feel at home. Truly, you've done a beautiful job decorating! As for dining out, which we are in the restaurant business and love to do so, we have some favorites: Sea House at Napili Kai Beach Resort, Ohana Tacos and Sheraton Luau! First time to Maui and loved it. Your condo is a great unit and the Mahana is the perfect location. We enjoyed the beach to the left. Took lots of walks down the boardwalk. Snorkeling 200 to 300 yards from the unit, to the south, was quite good. Enjoyed a wonderful meal at Roy's.

Stayed at this wonderful condo from 9/19 to 9/30 and we LOVED IT!!!!! We hated to leave!! Everything listed and the photos shown was right on the mark. This vacation was all about R&R and this condo fit the bill. The facilities at the Mahana are impeccable. This unit has everything anyone could want. We enjoyed many a happy hour at Duke's (which is a very short and enjoyable walk) via the beach and the happy hour at the Seahouse located in the Napili Kai Resort must not be missed. We cooked several meals at the condo using the George Foreman' grilled that is provided. We grilled chicken, pork chops, steak, hamburgers and fish to perfection - it is a must use item. This condo is first class all the way. We slept like babies on the most comfortable king size bed and enjoyed every morning on the lanai drinking our coffee and planning our day. Toward the end of our trip our coffee ran out and we discovered mocha's and vanilla latte's at the pool cafe. It opens at 7:00 and came in very handy - the bagels and cream cheese were yummy as well. A big Mahalo to the owners of this condo for sharing it with others. If you are thinking about booking this condo, DO IT!!!! You wont regret it!!!

My wife and I just got back from renting this condo for four nights and we loved it! The pictures do not do it justice as it is exceptionally beautiful! You can really appreciate the owner's attention to detail concerning decoration and upkeep! We enjoyed the complimentary bar and left an additional bottle for the next lucky visitors! It is literally RIGHT on the beach which is good for sunning and has GREAT snorkeling. The grocery store across the street. The staff are VERY friendly and keep the grounds nice and quiet. "Duke's", a classic beachfront bar, is a two minute walk away via the beach or walkway, good eats and great drinks. Bottom Line: If you are even considering renting this condo, BOOK IT! Even those with the most exquisite taste will NOT be disappointed! Mahalo Nui Loa to Carrie and Russ for letting us stay in their wonderful property!
