We arrived to a condo that was even nicer than the pictures posted! It was exactly as described and had all the items needed to prepare meals and relax at a home away from home. Right down to a straw hat that came in mighty handy. Joyce provided excellent communication and customer service. Even providing a beautiful fruit basket and chocolates! This is a great place for just about anyone. With two children ages 6 and 13 and my husband and I we fit perfectly, the layout made the space feel even larger. We all agreed we could live comfortably here. Ground floor with access to the lawn and grounds was great for kids and looking for frogs in the evening. Queens bath is just a hop away and a great place to see turtles in the surf. We loved Annini beach for its sandy bottom and easy access to bring cooler and chairs and such. After much scouting it turned out to be the most convienient beach in relation to the condo. We also spent time at the Pali Ke Kua beach which is super convienient but has a steep hike back up. When traveling to the south shore leave extra early to avoid traffic/construction and always bring what you need to make a whole day of it as it takes a bit to get there and back. Foodland is within walking distance, a little more than a mile and a nice walk. Look for the painted bark eucalyptus trees on the way! Java Kai in Hanalei has a great breakfast waffle with papaya, coconut, macadamia nuts and the works! Yum. Immaculate condo with everything you need. A bit far from the south shore so plan ahead, We would definitely stay here again. I hope Bob and Joyce keep this condo for a long time and continue to share it so when we can make the trek from alaska again we can stay there. Maholo Bob and Joyce!

We stayed here for two weeks and just love this property. Pali Ke Kua is at a perfect spot in Princeville - beautiful sunsets, close to shopping, easy access to beaches and Hanalei, and its own beach with access. The pool has recently been updated and is beautiful. The townhouse is big, comfortable, well equipped, and we love the mountain views and short walk to beautiful sunsets over the cliffs. Thank you so much!

We had a wonderful stay here. It's a really great location and the rental is exactly as pictured. There is plenty of room and the resort grounds are beautiful! Large kitchen, great lanai and plenty of beach toys. This rental is exactly what we look for in a vrbo rental. Joyce was very easy to communicate with and there were no surprises. The rental is about 10 minutes from Hanalei bay and there is a great shopping center with a foodland a few minutes away. Next time we are in Kauai we will stay here again. Cheers, Emily and Dave

Our stay at the Princeville, Kauai property was overall very positive. The condo is very comfortable and clean, and we felt at home right away. The propery is beautiful and well kept and we enjoyed the local area very much. The process of renting the condo, communicating with the owner and receiving our refund was handled in a very professional manner. We are planning another trip to Kauai this year and plan to stay at the same property. This is an amazing value!

Dear Joyce and Bob, We so enjoyed staying at your fabulous condo. It’s beautifully maintained and is comfortable, with lots of natural light and it has all the comforts of home, and more! The kitchen is well equipped making eating in a breeze. The closet is stocked full of fabulous beach/snorkel gear. There is really no need to bring any beach stuff from home. After a long day of being out exploring it was always really nice to be back at the condo and relaxing there. The location in beautiful Princeville is excellent. Foodland is nearby for groceries, some of the most beautiful beaches are right there. Hideways Beach, Queens Bath (we even swam in Queen’s Bath!) and Secret Beach with the lava pools are all very close by. We enjoyed sunset drinks at the St Regis right down the road. Their ginger margaritas are to die for. It was nice to have the pool and Jacuzzi next to the condo. After a long day of hiking in Waimea Canyon we soaked in the Jacuzzi when we got back. So relaxing! A week was too short as there was still so much more exploring we wanted to do. We’ll definitely be back and we wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else. Thanks again for a fabulous stay!

What an amazing spot, the location of Pali Ke Kua is perfect. We were greeted with a fresh fruit basket upon our arrival and everything ready. We stayed 8 days and couldn't have asked for any place better. It is plenty spacious for a family with 3 kids under 10. Princeville center is close for food, shopping, yoga and restaurants, two great beaches within walking distance and Queens bath for a longer walk. Beautiful walking paths on golf course and down to St. Regis. Hanalei is only about 5-10 drive away too. This is a wonderful place for couples and famlies, we will for sure be back. They also provide all the gear you need for the beach too, big towels, chairs, coolers & great boogie boards, snorkeling gear and mats, who could ask for more?

Aloha Joyce, we had a reaaaaaaaally good time in your condo and felt very comfortable there. It has got lots of space, every equipment you need for a holiday and it was very tidy there. The garden was also very huge and we liked the Jacuzzi very much. Further, we appreciated the fruits very much. All in all, we had lots of things we really enjoyed in your condo (e.g. the sofa, the TV, barbecue, coconut opener, the fast washing machine, two bathrooms and a well equiped kitchen). We are now staying in Big Island (the last of the four main islands of Hawaii we visited) and we are all of the same opinion: your condo was the best of all five condos we had here....! Thanks a lot!

The condo was so clean and comfortable -- with a fully equipped kitchen and all the beach gear, it was perfect for our visit! The location was also great -- Princeville is beautiful and close to all the north-Kuaui activities we wanted to do: visiting Hanalei Bay, touring the NaPali Coast, hiking the Kalalau Trail, and getting to all the north shore beaches which in our opinion are the most beatutiful on the island! Thank you, Joyce -- everything was perfect!

My daughters and I take a yearly trip and this year we chose Kauai. I had been before but several years earlier. We've been to Oahu and Maui a couple of times and I wanted the girls to experience Kauai as it is so different from the other Islands. We arrived in the warm, beautiful sunshine in the early am and drove right up to the property on the north shore. It was super easy to find. The townhouse was set off the main road and by the pool. It was perfect for us! The home owners have kept it up wonderfully. It is a duplex but we never heard our neighbors. It is a 2 story townhome with 2 full bathrooms which was perfect for the girls to have their own space. The furniture is super comfortable. There is no AC but there is absolutely no need for it as the home is equipped with ceiling fans and screened in shutters which allow a heavenly breeze to flow through the house. The lanai looks onto the main road and you can see the mountains directly behind that. It has a washer and dryer which was so helpful. Also, the owners have beach equipment to use, like chairs and umbrellas which was a huge bonus. The pool was located directly next to the house and it was awesome for the kids to be able to come back from a day at the beach and swim before dinner time. Overall, the property was super clean, quiet, and kid friendly! We can not wait to go back next year!!! Thank you Joyce and Bob for a memorable time!

What a great condo on the north side of the island. A perfect location, with walking distance to hidaway beach and Queens bath and a short 5 min drive to Hanalei (shops. restaurants, beaches) where we spent most of our time. Eat sushi at the dolphin! If you are adventure seekers like us this location was close to several beaches, snorkling and great scenic hikes like the kahula trail. The condo was a great size, my wife and I honeymooned here but kept saying we should have brought the kids. There was a nice loft area with a separate bathroom that would have been perfect for our 10 and 12 yr old. We had a great time and the condo had everything we need for a great price. thanks joyce for sharing your home, we will definitely be back.

We stayed at Pali Ke Kua #4 for a couple of days - this is a great deal. Pali Ke Kua is ideally situated at the North Shore of Kauai and there's easy access to one of the most beautiful beaches. Nearby Hanalei has lots of great restaurants. The place is very roomy and comfortable, has a lot of amenities and nice furniture. Very clean and well maintained. I was especially pleased with the kitchen, which has lots of table- and cooking ware, everything you need. The owners were very easy to deal with, no problem when I asked them for a later checkout time. We would definitely recommend this place, it is a great vacation spot. We had a really good time and look forward to be back soon.

This condo at Pali Ke Kua was perfect for 4 friends on vacation. We were able to cook our own meals, relax in the living room and on the patio, and walk down a paved steep trail to hide-aways beach for terrific snorkeling. The condo is in a terrific location on the north side of Kauai, we were easily able to get to all the things we wanted to do (hiking, beach, snorkelling, surf lessons). This condo was a very comfortable home base with thought put in by the owners to ensure a pleasant stay. Thank you so much!

We spent another awesome week in this town home and are already planning our escape for next year. This is the best kept secret on the island! We hope you never change a thing. From the fresh fruit and fluffy towels to the surprise of a rice cooker! A few steps out the door and you can run for miles and then come back to jump in the pool and bask in the sun. Our biggest decision each day was where to eat lunch. Our favorites are hole in the wall places...like Fredericos in the Princeville Mall...almost hidden but worth seeking. Local organic ingredients and very tasty. (We ate there three times this past week). The Chinese/Thai take out next door (in the same mall), is also great. No MSG...great yellow curry. Lots of outside tables and benches if you want to eat there...covered to protect from sun or sudden showers. The beach at the end of the road, next to the St Regis Hotel is a spectular evening walk. Of course we went to Hanalei once a day for a latte and some people watching...and to get our daily dose of sun and sand. We explored the island our first few years but now we just love to enjoy the tropical breezes and relax in the comfort of your well appointed and shiney clean home. Mahalo for sharing and Aloha til next year!

My fiance and I loved staying here! It was super clean, well decorated, and equiped with washer/dryer, cooking utensils etc., ipod player, TVs, and tons of beach and snorkeling gear. It's located on the northern part of the island which was our favorite part of the island. It's within walking distance to the famous "Queens Bath", Hideaway Beach, Sea Lodge Beach, and golfing. It's also within a short drive of Hanalei Bay, Ke'e Beach, and the trailhead for Kalalau Trail which takes you along the Na Pali Coast. I would definately recommend this condo for an amazing Kauai vacation!

Joyce; I believe my mother, Janice, passed on our compliments but I wanted to thank you personally for a fantastic stay at Pali Ke Kua. Your place made a perfect backdrop for my wife and I renewing our vows in Hanalei. Our three kids absolutely loved the pool, the greenspace, the loft for sleeping and all the geckos that they got to look at. It absolutely was a beautiful place to stay and we truly appreciated all the extra touches you did like the champagne, the fruit bowl as well as the BBQ. We loved it so much that I wanted to talk to you about 2012. Thank you again for everything you did and we look forward to discussing all these details. Sean

I stayed for two weeks at this property with my sister and a friend. The three of us were very comfortable. It was really like a home away from home. The beds and pillows were comfortable, the towels luxurious and plentiful. We used the washer/dryer several times during our stay. We used the kitchen for breakfast and one other meal per day. The layout of the townhouse allowed us to be together when we wanted to be and also have some privacy when we wanted to be alone. The grounds of the complex were beautifully maintained. Every time we went outside we saw birds including Nene gees, Japanese white eyes, golden plovers, doves, and red crested cardinals. A short walk to the cliff top gave us a great view of sunsets over Hanalei Bay as well as Hideaways Beach. We also saw waves crashing against the cliffs. Great scenery!

This condo was perfect, super clean and with all the amenities of home.  Quiet surrounding and the ideal location for relaxing. The garden view from the patio was just beautiful, in the background was the mountains sometimes you can see waterfalls.  Great Snorkeling at Hideaway beach which is assessable via a steep walk down to the beach from the Kali Ka Kau premises. Close to beautiful beaches, water falls and places to enjoy for the kids...Zip Lining and Surfing. Did a lot of cooking at the condo which was a big saving but also enjoyed eating at St Regis which is a short walk from the condo. Ate at Makana Terrace which overlooks Hanalei Bay. Great food and the sunset is magnificent. Also ate at Brennecke’s Beach Broiler in Poipu Beach. The staff there were very friendly, great food and reasonable prices.

Aloha Joyce ~ We had such a perfect time at your gorgeous condo. We were amazed at the beautiful mountain views from your condo that changed with the sun and the full-moon ~ loved strolling to the St. Regis and enjoying the dramatic ocean and mountain views (with waterfalls) along the way ~ enjoyed snorkeling and fishing at Hideaways a few steps away ~ were thrilled by the sound of the Nene geese flying overhead ~ We were able to enjoy all these things plus much more by staying a week in your condo home. Every day was a wonderful adventure. Don and Mary Anne were so attentive, and resolved the cable problem very quickly. We would have been fine without the T.V.s, but once Oceanic Time Warner repaired the problem, it was fun to have them ~ they are nice new, large televisions! Again, thank you for your kind hospitality, and for welcoming us on such short notice. We would love to return. Mahalo Nui Loa,

    Thank you very much for the use of your condo! It was ideal for us and we greatly enjoyed our time there. We particularly liked your interior styling and the overall layout of the unit. We had stayed in a different unit at PKK before that had the more traditional 2BR apt layout and this townhouse unit was nicer and a neat setup for a small family. We will definitely check in with you before our next trip to Kauai. Your associate does an outstanding job of keeping the place clean and preparing it for guests. We really appreciated the extra touches (fruit, flowers, etc) that awaited us. I think the condo is in great shape;

This townhouse has to be the best value on kauai! The design made A/C unnecessary as the cool evening air provided great sleeping conditions. Stocked with the best electronic equipment and the owners thoughtfully provide almost all beach needs except the sunscreen. Ke'ee, Hanalei Bay, Tunnels, Anini beaches are all outstanding and minutes away. Hanalei is full of fun adventure and food. Brennecke's at Poipu a short drive to fantastic meals. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pali Ke Kua #4! The condo exceeded our expectations. Besides being the most attractively designed interior, the condo was clean , which is very important to us. The "extras" came in handy. Everything from a mini tool box, SHARP knives in the kitchen (I hate trying to use a dull knife), some kitchen supplies left from previous renters, the games and wireless internet. We really didn't want to leave! We felt like we had the whole place to ourselves, but felt very safe and welcome by the few landscapers we did see. Thank you for the deposit check we had so promptly as well. We would highly recommend a stay with you and hope to return next year! Sincerely, Edana

We stayed in this great condo for 2 weeks in October 2009. It fit our needs perfectly. It is an older style condo so if you need air conditioning and granite counter tops, this won't be the place for you but it was decorated beautifully and had everything we needed. My husband has been going to Hawaii since the 70's and he really loved this condo for it's old school feel. The owners were incredibly nice and easy to deal with and the complex itself (Pali Ke Kua) is perfectly situated and is well maintained. We couldn't get over how quiet it was (and that's a good thing) lots of beautiful and mature landscaping. The unit is right by the pool and we thought it might be a bit loud but once inside the condo you couldn't hear a thing. And speaking of the pool, wow, It's beautiful! We're already planning to go back to Kauai and we wouldn't stay anywhere else after our experience here.
