There is a public swimming pool one mile away. Located in a quiet neighborhood, you will enjoy the peace and tranquility yet be centrally located for easy access to all desired destinations. The treehouse cottage is one of the view rentals that has been approved by the County of Maui (Permit number BBKM 2009/0013) which gives guests the security of knowing their reservation is confirmed and the rental
will not be shut down due to illegal rental.

I want to go back to Maui just to stay here again! The Treehouse is the most relaxing place ever! Serene, peaceful, beautiful and great energy. You will love it!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car.

This was our first trip to Maui, to celebrate our 30th anniversary. The Treehouse cottage was the perfect place for us, and we can't say enough how much we enjoyed everything about it. Every morning we watched the sunrise over Haleakala with our coffee, and most nights we grilled all kinds of Hawaiian fish for dinner on the lanai while watching the sunset. Everything we needed was supplied - from a fully equipped kitchen with fresh herbs from the garden, to beach chairs and cooler with ice. It was the perfect base to explore all the sights. We enjoyed the many beaches nearby, as well as driving up Haleakala, to the Maui Arts and Culture center for concerts, and an easy stroll down to Boss Frogs for scuba gear and excursions. We also enjoyed the privacy and being in a nice neighborhood, rather than in the thick of resort condos. We spent hours on the internet searching for the best place, and we hope by posting this review it will help others save a lot of time - if you are lucky enough to find it available, you will count yourself lucky to stay here! Don't miss this rental! It is delightful. Nicely decorated, clean, well supplied with all of the amentities you need, comfortable bed, private, wonderful trade winds, peekaboo view of ocean, convenient location to beaches, restaurants and more. The owners/hosts are very personable and will assist you in whatever way they can. Would definitely recommend and would rent again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+.

The Tree House is a perfect place to stay if you like Kihei. Away from the traffic and busy-ness of the hiway and Kihei road. Very clean and modern. Hosts are fantastic. Highly recommended.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

My husband and I had part of our Honeymoon here, and loved it. Pam and Juan were very accommodating answering questions we had from where to eat to where to snorkel, they were always available to help, giving us vegetables from the garden and lending us chairs and beach mats. The tree house itself was a treat; well maintained and very up to date. The bathroom was divine, especially the huge marble shower! The kitchen was spacious, living room furniture was plush and comfortable and the bedroom had some much appreciated air conditioning. The location was central and we easily traveled to where we needed to go, and many things (including the grocery store and theatre) were well within walking distance. For those of you who struggle with searching the internet and trusting what you read to be accurate (like myself) this place is exactly what it appears to be: FABULOUS. The pictures are accurate, the price is right and the hosts are wonderful. I highly recommend the tree house; if you’re on a honeymoon (like we were) or if you’re just on vacation away, this place is great.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers.

My friend (from Colorado)and I (from So.California) stayed for 8 days in late May 2010, and loved the Treehouse. The owner is an interior designer and appointed this charming place with perfection and personality. It is brand new and pristine, and waking up in the trees was so peaceful. I highly recommend staying here. I loved being in a neighborhood rather than in an impersonal hotel. We got a feeling for how it would be to live there, rather than just visit. The owners were charming and warm with lots of ideas for things to do and places to see and explore. They were around when we had questions or needed something too, which was big help. Another perk was having a washer and dryer right in the apartment. They thought of everything!! Go and enjoy!! We stayed at the Kihei treehouse in August and it was excellent. Very affordable, tastefully decorated, and nearby great restaurants and the best beaches in Maui. Everything in the cottage was brand new, the bed was comfortable, you wake up to tropical songbirds singing in the tree right outside the window. The whole unit is very comfortable and homey. It's perfect for a couple. The unit is in a neighborhood, away from resorts and hordes of tourists. Kihei and Wailea destinations are walkable or a very short drive.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers.

About the owner: Juan and I moved from Alaska to Maui in 1987. Well fell in love with this neighborhood, and bought our ranch-style home in 1994. Our dream was to build a vacation rental cottage on the top to help us with our retirement plan. We did not realize how much fun we would have meeting people from all around the world who love Maui and the cottage as much as we do.
