THE CONDO
This two bedroom, two bath ocean and garden view condominium has undergone a remodel of the baths and kitchen. The kitchen features exotic wood cabinets, granite counters, and stainless steel appliances. The baths offer luxurious showers of stone and glass as well as granite counters for the vanities. The living room is decorated with Asian antiques and teak furniture.
The home is located in a quiet section (building 7)of beautiful Nihi Kai Villas. This property is lushly landscaped with lawn areas and plantings of torch ginger, heliconia and other tropical flowers.
The resort offers a pool area, barbecue area, and tennis courts. Brenneke's Beach, famous for its body surfing is a short walk. Poipu Beach Park with it calm Keiki beach (for the little ones) and Waiohai side for great snorkeling is an easy stroll.
Poipu, at the south end of the island on the leeward side, enjoys light rainfall, warm days and cool nights. Water temperature varies only from 78 to 82 degrees over the year. You can get a world class tan here with very little effort
There are seven major islands in the Hawaiian archipelago. Each island is unique and with its own charm. Kauai offers a nice balance. There are ample activities to keep you busy, yet there is not runaway growth that chokes out the real Hawaiian experience. On Kaua'i you will find gorgeous beaches, often with few if anyone on them, lush rain forests with waterfalls and enough civilization to make you comfortable.

Comfy condo - perfect for a couple or family

After pouring over countless VRBO rental properties in Poipu, we came across this gem and we were lucky that it was available for the holiday week (and on short notice). We weren't sure what to expect from the listing, especially with the lack of reviews. I'm glad we weren't discouraged by that because the condo was perfect for our needs. The owner quickly responded to our e-mails and adequately addressed our concerns. The condo is in a prime neighborhood location on a very quiet, dead end street. Parking was never a problem as there was ample spots available in the two large lots next to the condo. The condo is only a block to the beach. The grounds were well manicured. There is a pool and tennis courts, but we did not use them. However, we did take advantage of the well maintained BBQ facility to prepare a couple of dinners to enjoy on our lanai. The sunset views from the lanai were amazing! The renovated condo is 2 stories; the entrance, kitchen, and living room are on top and the 2 bedrooms each with their own bathrooms are below. The cabinets throughout are custom and beautiful. The kitchen is well stocked with all the cooking utensils you may need and has stainless appliances, granite countertops, and a great coffee maker. There is no air condition, but that was not a problem with the trade winds and 4 ceiling fans. We took advantage of the supplied beach chairs, towels, and cooler for our excursion to the local beaches. It was nice to find an island guidebook and a folder with tons of recommendations on dining and activities. Sunset at the Beach House Restaurant should not be missed (make sure to get a prime spot at the bar 30 min before sunset). Brick House Pizza was good and Keoki's Paradise happy hour was good for some cheap eats and drinks. You will not be disappointed with the accommodations. Enjoy your vacation - we sure did!
