Description – Picture yourself relaxing on the front deck overlooking the quiet serenity of a deepwater cove. Listening to the loon’s sing their morning song as you watch the sun rise. Time spent at the Lake House will be sure to help the traveler un-wind and get ready for a time filled with water sports, relaxation, or just plain enjoying nature. It is minutes from Tugaloo State Park, Harbor Light Marina (boat rental available), and the Poplar Springs Boat Launch. The Lake House features a great-room/dining room with a stone fireplace, large sunroom, hardwood floors through out the home, and whitewashed pine-board walls. Enjoy the expansive glass view of the cove where a private boat dock and swim platform beckon. A fully equipped kitchen will have that hot cup of coffee ready for you. On the main floor there is the master bedroom with private bath suite and the second bedroom with a full bath, and a laundry room with washer/dryer. Upstairs finds a cozy loft with 2 twin beds and the third bedroom with a full bath. A covered porch is complete with rocking chairs and a wicker lounge that adjoins the expansive front deck. The deepwater cove opens to Lake Hartwell’s pristine 52,000 acres where you can enjoy all aspects of water sports, fishing and swimming. Minutes away is historic Lavonia where quaint shops and restaurants offer a pleasant change from the hustle and bustle of the city. A 30 minute drive will put you in Commerce, GA--home to the Tanget Outlets, or in Clemson, SC. Athens and the Georgia Bulldogs are a short hour's drive away. Undoubtedly you will enjoy the charm and peacefulness of our 'Lake House'.

Year Purchased: 1996
Our Lake House is owned by Bud Cooper and Lynne and Joe Hamelton, Bud's sister and brother-in-law. Our home has been a dream in the making and it is our pleasure to share it with you. Both Bud and Lynne are educator's at universities in Georgia and Pennsylvania. Joe is a retired middle school principal. We each love the Lake Hartwell area and all the unique towns that are within a short drive. We hope you will come and share our 'Scenic Retreat' with your family and create some special memories for your self this year!
