This was our second time using this condo and it was as great as we remembered it. It was a bit busier at the pool with several families with children staying there but I didn't really mind. They were mostly adorable.

We stayed at this condo in February and were very happy with it. It is clean, comfortable and very well located. It was well maintained and the owner was very helpful with any questions we had. We discovered some wonderful restaurants in the village. A great experience overall and we will definitely return!

This was a last minute decision and we were so happy to land in this unit. It really suited all of our needs (there were three of us). The condo is spacious, VERY comfortable and has a fully equipped kitchen. A big perk is that it is right next to one of the best restaurants in town. Plus a great happy hour is literally steps away when you are too lazy to start your own blender. There are plenty of options are within walking distance. We will be back without hesitation. Pepe, the manager was gracious and made us feel like family. Everything is close and town felt safe, the beach was vast, quiet...we had the place to ourselves. I would suggest to the owners to invest in an additional Sat TV box. It is fine if there were only two of us. But utilizing all the great space would have been flawless if the TV’s had separate remote controls. The pool was cold this January, but, who cares, the ocean was warmer.

The Best One Bedroom Villa at Villas De Cortez

This villa is by far the nicest 1 br. unit in the complex. While the floor plans are all the same, the furnishings and appliances are upgraded, plush and comfortable with extra added touches thru out. The kitchen is spectacular, stone counter tops, top of the line stainless, a wine cooler with designer tableware and pots and pans. Even a stainless BBQ for those who want to cook. If not there is a wonderful restaurant and swim up palapa bar just outside. They even deliver to your door or set up a table on the patio over looking the infinity pools and ocean. The master bedroom is large and comfortable with flat screen tv and water views to die for. The huge master bath with sunken tub is all stone and glass as is the guest bathroom. The washer and dryer is a great feature allowing you to bring carry on luggage only. Views from the living/dining area are full and breathtaking. A comfortable pull out sofa allows for extra guests, another flat screen tv (with all the american chanels including sports), stereo, wireless internet and Vonage phone service with free long distance are among the amenities not found in other units. The sunrises over the water are not to be missed, they are spectacular and worthy of an early wake up. This is a prime spot for fishing!!!!! Book your boat next door at the hotel and it will be waiting for you on the dock not more than 100 yards away. An afternoon favorite is to grab a cold margarita and watch the boats come in flying colored flags that tell what type and how many fish were caught. It's a good opportunity to sit by the hotel pool and bar and chat with others. All of the hotel amenities are part of booking the villa. A huge grocery store with everything under the sun is within walking distance. Restaurants, shopping and bars are all a short walk . Renting an ATV and taking a ride to the waterfalls or Hotel Punta Pescadero for lunch is a must. We fell in love with this place and have returned twice a year for the past 5 years. Our friends and family now join us for some really great vacation time. The people are so helpful and welcoming, the grounds, beach and villa are spotless. There is so much to do here or do nothing at all. All you really need are casual clothes, sandals and a camera. Steve has put together a great video of their place and has been more than helpfull, booking is easy and reliable. Love, love, love it.

We loved staying in this beautiful ground floor one bedroom Villa during our family vacation. It is so great to walk out your door and there is the pool, swim-up bar, Sea of Cortez and the fishing fleet. It is so convenient for the fisher people and pleasant for those who stay behind and enjoy the beach and pool. The restaurant next door is very handy for those who prefer not to cook on their vacation. And they will cook up your fish how you prefer it prepared. The Villa is nice, newly furnished, granite counters, fantastic kitchen even if you don't cook. I highly recommend staying in this Villa and hope to return soon.

The best fishing vacation EVER!

Stayed for 5 days in early July. The condo is fabulous and flawless. My intention was to fish and my wife wanted sun and pool. We both got exactly what we wanted! Dock is 100 yards from the back door of condo. Pool is 5 feet. We met other owners while there and had so many friends we had a "pot luck" party on the patio one night. The condo is very well appointed and lacks nothing. I will stay here every time I come to Los Barrilles (which will be annually).

Staying in this villa really made my trip to Los Barriles an amazing experience. This unit has the best location. You open your back door and the view is spectacular (it really looks like screen saver). The pool is literarly one step from your door and if you are hungery..the restaurant and bar is right next door. The interior is beautiful and it has all the aminities you can think of. One of the best things about this unit is that it is ground floor. My stay here was safe, relaxed, and comfortable. The stay at this unit was so comfortable that for the past three years my group of friends and I have made it our anual girls get away destination (there is a lot of space in this unit). Sure Cabo San Lucas is a blast, but this place is perfect for any age group. It is peaceful, romantice, and very adventurous.There are so many activities to do. Every year we go there is always something new (Fishing, snorkling, swimming,zip lines, a little dancing and karaoke at Tito Pablos or Buzzards. There many other activitie and Plamas De Cortez resort is next door. The owners Steve & Dana have been real helpful and nice to deal with. So if you are going to stay in Los Barriles I recommend this condo.(It's the best deal for your money) I can't wait to go back.

Dear Steve and Dana, We had a WONDERFUL time at your place. It is truly a beautiful home and you are blessed to have it. Thank-you for providing us with the opportunity to share it with us! This was our first time to Los Barriles and it is truly a serene and laid back place. There is plenty to do however and we had a great time snorkeling, playing on the beach, taking road trips (really liked Santiago), going wild on the Quads and lounging by the pool. We used cash from the ATM and had fun trying to barter with the locals. We hope to be back next year! Thanks again - Kevin, Judy and Zach

Wonderful time in Los Barrilles

We stayed there for a week with small children. Everything was perfect! The pool right outside the condo was wonderful, as well as the beach and the water. We went snorkeling and it was one of our best experience. Shops and restaurants are easy to get to, even without a car. Thank you and hopefully we'll be back.

Beautiful Condo Best Location

This is the best unit! The location is amazing-walk a few steps and you are in the zero entry pool. Walk a few steps to the left and you are in Solomon's Landing Restaurant. The food there was some of the best I had in Los Barriles. The swim up bar had great drinks and smoothies for the kids. This unit had everything we needed-it is so comfortable and very well equipped. I would highly recommend staying here. Renting quads for the day to ride the beach to the waterfall was a blast. We took an excursion to Cabo Pulmo to snorkel also. It was excellent snorkeling. We saw whales and snorkeled with sea lions! We'll be back!

A Relaxing Yet, Invigorating Retreat With Emphasis on the "Treat"!

This has to be one of the best kept secrets in Mexico. We had an unbelievable time in this out of the way destination. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Villa De Cortez resort with it's unparalleled ambiance and plush, comfortable accomidations at reasonable rates. You can literally walk right out the back door of your villa into the pool, hot tub, or beach! There's chartered fishing available, quad rentals, and a myriad of authentic mexican restaurants right within a five minute walk. If you want to break away from the slower paced, laid back atmosphere, then Cabo San Lucas is only about an hour away by car (which we rented right at the resort). I would highly reccommend this resort and this villa, and will be looking forward to going back as soon as is possible. Take advantage of this opportunity. Believe me- you will not regret it.

This was an amazing place. I have been to other cities in Mexico over the years but none of them compared to the easy pace of the East Cape.The condo was beautiful and well equipped. Our friends stayed in another unit while we were there which did'nt compare to the ammenities of this suite. We felt at home which made our stay a wonderful experience. The owners Steve and Dana were a pleasure to deal with and very helpful. The ground floor unit was nice to walk out the back door and go swimming or relax on the lounge chairs. The restaurant a few steps away was excellent with both american and original mexican food. Los Barriles has that small town charm you don't get at the larger resort areas. We caught three marlin and chased a mako shark for awhile which we could'nt hook up. We enjoyed riding the quads along the beach and jumping in the surf and swimming when we got hot. We highly recommend this Villa suite and will be back again. Definitely get this condo first if you can, it's really nice. Jim Lichty & Family

Just got back from 5 days in this new condo. The room is amazing for the East Cape. It had a full size fridge, wi fi, and free US calling without going thru an operator. It really was first class. I normally stay at the Palmas hotel but found it a little beat in the last few years. This new place is about 100 yards from the old resort and an easy easy walk if you want to go over for a drink, etc. This room is ground level (which is key) and has it's own pool with no crowd. If you are bringing kids or just want to relax with no drunks, fat dudes dropping f bombs, chain smokers, etc then then this is where you want to stay. It has a better feel to it. Pepe was a funny cool character who helps out and will do anything to make your stay more comfortable. I will stay here next time, no doubt about it.

Wonderful, quiet location. The condo was very comfortable and fully equipt with everything you need. Grocery stores right up the street were nicely stocked. Friendly staff and neighbors and safe area. Beautiful sunrises. Much different than Cabo.
