Lake Buchanan is low but it is still a great time to enjoy the charms of this expansive, breathtaking lake. Our comfortable three bedroom lake house is just a few short blocks away from the deep water boat launch at Burnet County Park. The wide open water views are still fantastic and you can enjoy watching the sunset from the built in benches on the boat dock. Watch the herons that fish off the nearby point and the large family of ducks that live nearby.

Lake Buchanan's legendary fishing is still outstanding! Our location with a view of Garrett Island is near some of the best fishing spots!! When the lake is low you can stroll along the shoreline as far as you would like to explore the terrain- you won't be strolling through anyone's backyard! Bring your family and friends! The 1,800 square foot house will accommodate up to eleven people comfortably. The living room has a large leather sectional couch with two recliners and a 32 inch flat screen TV with a DVD player for family movie watching. There is a well stocked closet full of games, puzzles and books. Enjoy a ping pong tournament in the shade of the carport or a game of chess or checkers on the shady back porch. There is a picnic table for eight in the backyard- with a candle chandelier for candle lit dinners.

The master bedroom has a comfortable king sized bed and a comfortable chair by the window with a view of the lake. The large second bedroom has a queen and a full bed and a rocking chair. The third bedroom has a double and a twin bed. There is also a large sun room with a view of the lake and a comfortable queen size futon. The master and the second bedroom share a bright, updated bathroom with a tub/shower. The third bedroom and the sun room share a second bathroom with a tiled shower. The kitchen opens onto the dining and living room so everyone can be together while preparing meals in the kitchen. The kitchen features a gas Jennair range. All linens are provided. There is even a laundry room with washer and dryer so you won't go home from your vacation with dirty laundry!

Visit Canyon of the Eagles just 5 miles away for a Vanishing Texas River Cruise. Contact one of the many local fishing guides for a day or half day guided fishing trip.

If you have a group larger than ten or eleven, please inquire about renting a second house just next door!

  • What a great retreat! We had a house full of people but it never felt crowded. The house is so comfortable and inviting. The gated yard facing the lake allows us to view the lake and not worry about the young kids venturing too far. We would definitely come back!

  • We had a wonderful long weekend at this lake house with our children, my in-laws and sister in law. There was plenty of space for everyone to stretch out. The children's book and game closet fascinated the children. We didn't hear "I'm bored" the whole weekend! The water was low but we very much enjoyed the peace and quiet and family time of the lake house.
