Enjoy a relaxing stay in our comfortable three bedroom lake house on the east side of Lake Buchanan in South Silver Creek. Swim in the protected cove and enjoy the open water views. Take in the sunset from the built in bench on the boat dock. Watch the herons that fish off the nearby point and the large family of ducks that live nearby. Enjoy the shade from the large pecan trees while you enjoy the picnic table for eight in the backyard (with a candle chandelier for outdoor candle-lit dinners).
Bring your boat or rent one at a nearby marina and take advantage of Lake Buchanan's outstanding fishing. You can launch your boat at Burnet County Park less than a mile away. When the lake is full you can dock your boat at the boat dock just yards from the back door. Our location with a view of Garrett Island is near some of the best fishing spots!! There are a number of local fishing guides who will take you out for a day or a half day- they may even be able to pick you up right at the dock!
Bring your family and friends! The 1,800 square foot house will accommodate up to eleven people comfortably. The living room has a large leather sectional couch with two recliners and a 32 inch flat screen TV with a DVD player for family movie watching. There is a well stocked closet full of games, puzzles and books. Enjoy a ping pong tournament in the shade of the carport or a game of chess or checkers on the shady back porch.
The master bedroom has a comfortable king sized bed and a chair by the window with a view of the lake. The large second bedroom has a queen and a full bed and a rocking chair. The third bedroom has a double and a twin bed. There is also a large sun room with a view of the lake and a comfortable queen size futon. The master and the second bedroom share a bright, updated bathroom with a tub/shower. The third bedroom and the sun room share a second bathroom with a tiled shower. The kitchen opens onto the dining and living room so everyone can be together while preparing meals in the kitchen. The kitchen features a gas Jennair range. All linens are provided. There is even a laundry room with washer and dryer so you won't go home from your vacation with dirty laundry!

Year Purchased: 2008
We live in Austin with our two children. We have enjoyed many relaxing times at the lake with family and friends and want to share that experience! We have a small two bedroom house and wanted more space for our family and friends to enjoy the lake so we purchased this house when it came on the market in 2008. We have enjoyed furnishing the house so it is comfortable for larger groups.
Why the Owner Chose Silver Creek
We used to have a place on Lake LBJ. We sold it in 2005 and moved up to Lake Buchanan. We love Lake Buchanan! It is much less crowded than Lake Austin and Lake LBJ (or maybe it just feels that way because it is huge!). The fishing is outstanding. We also enjoy the wildlife/nature on Lake Buchanan. The wide open water views are outstanding.
